so I’m bi and have been with my boyfriend for 2 years!! unfortunately he was in love with another girl for the first 6 months so we had a tricky start for sure

things were getting better but recently he has been quite controlling. I know that it comes from a place of insecurity and I’ve been truly trying to help him with that but it is really suffocating and we can’t seem to find a solution

anyways last night I got super drunk n I kissed a girl at a bar. she kissed me first and I was reluctant but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t into it and we made out - I am wlw leaning and haven’t expressed that side of myself for so long and i completely got carried away

hi sweet girl! while i don’t condone cheating, i understand what it’s like to favor women while being in a relationship with a man. i understand what you did was a mistake, and i know you feel guilty about it. if i am honest, i do believe that when you’re drunk, you subconsciously do things you wouldn’t normally do consciously—because you doubt yourself or believe you shouldn’t—such as, wishing to be with a woman rather than a man.

for both of yours sake, i would agree with not continuing the relationship. i’m sure you guys got past what happened in the first 6 months, but since you’ve both been disloyal in some way, i would say it would be better to separate in the long run. i don’t think your feelings or wants to be with a woman will go away & it’s not fair to you or him to be in the relationship ):

if you are in love with him, i’d also recommend maybe taking a break to let both of you adjust & come to terms with your relationship moving forward. however, i want you to understand that wanting to be w a women isn’t wrong or that you should put yourself down to appease other people.

i know it sucks to have caused harm to someone else, and i hope that it isn’t irreversible. but you also should take time to find yourself & understand what YOU really want, because that’s equally as important, if not more.

to sum it all up, take some time to yourself, ask yourself what you want going forward & then speak to both of them one on one. see what they say, how they respond, and decide if you want to continue the relationship or find something new that fits what you really want.

hi baby. i absolutely understand what it’s like to deal with what you’re going through. it’s hard to feel like you can be open with your sexuality when everyone around you denies it. especially the people who are supposed to love and support you ): i’ve gone through the same thing recently, and what i can tell you is that you should never ever be afraid of being who you are.
