Love wasn’t something that came easy to Xander, he often found himself afraid to let someone hold his heart, but he was more afraid of what he was going to do to someone else’s. Being with Emmett was different though, the boy changed him, made him a better person from who he once was and made him realize that he didn’t need to put on a front to be adored by others, especially when he had the only person he really needed to impress right in front of him. But, as he wobbled in his ice skates, trying his best to not fall before he even hit the ice, he looked over at the boy with a big smile on his face. “Only if you’re ready to catch me, babe,” he couldn’t help but chuckle as he caught up with his boyfriend.
Emmett took Xander's hand in his own, a light smile spreading across his face as he did so. Since rebuilding his life with Xander, the younger male couldn't even remember what it was like not being happy. So much had changed since they met about a year ago, and despite the obstacles that came up since, he wouldn't change anything about it. He leaned over and pecked Xander's cheek softly as he very carefully led the two of them to the ring's entrance. "I've got you. If you fall, I'm going down with you."
