âSo basically all of the latest holiday movies on Netflix, huh?â Dominic added with a light laugh. âTheyâre terrible. Iâll put on Netflix and suddenly Iâm bombarded with her face, snowflakes and romantic and intense gazes. I wasnât the biggest fan of her, really ever, but because of her new move to Holiday movies, Iâm definitely not a fan.â He was rambling, but thatâs what he did when he wasnât nervous and wanted to shift conversation topics.Â
âPretty much. They are so cheesy. I just donât like how all the Christmas movies have a happy ending. Itâs not really my thing,â the Latina gave a shrug. She didnât really understand why people were so obsessed with them. It just wasnât her thing. âYou hungry? I am craving Chinese and I could use a friend with me.â

âLike you said, men in general.â Sutton gave her a small smile, understanding all too well, how it felt to be stood up. âWell fuck whoever that loser was. Youâre drinking with me now and Iâm far better.â She said confidently as the drink finally arrived. âI was hoping to do some damage tonight. Wanna go out around the city with me? You might end up on TMZ.â
âYeah, whoever it was. Cause I donât even know. So, I guess Iâm lucky then,â she smiled softly as she took a small sip. Emmy paused for a moment at the mention of TMZ, her brow furrowing at the woman. âWhat do you mean, TMZ? Only famous-Should I know who you are?â

Well, that certainly wasnât what Dominic was expecting. He never knew what an appropriate response to dead was, thankfully never having experienced it for himself. But instead of stare stupidly at Emmy while he desperately thought of a response, he simply replied with, âShit Emmy, that sucks, Iâm sorry.â He let his hands dig into his hoodie pockets as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. He wasnât quite sure what to say for the conversation had taken a darker turn he was vastly unprepared for.
âDonât apologize. I was six. That was twenty years ago. I just donât like the holidays because of it. But Iâm fine. Really,â Emmy reassured. This was something she dealt with and handled years ago. Now it was just a pesky little anniversary that she will never be able to ignore. âPlus most Christmas movies are so cheesy. Itâs always a happy ending. How can you fall for cheesy movies like that?â The Latina gave a shrug. âEspecially those Hallmark movies. Small town life. Guy meets girl who doesnât believe in love anymore only for this supposed guy to be the one she was looking for all along.â

âWell if his boss told him that, then his boss needs to be fired. Iâm not even that drunk.â Sutton shook her head at the thought, even though she did have quite a few drinks in her. A smile quickly formed on her lips when she agreed to buy her another drink. âI knew there was something special about you, when I first saw you, and trust me I noticed you. You donât seem like youâre here just for a drink though.â
âThey never want to admit they are wrong. Men in general,â she gave a soft roll of her eyes. Emmy tilted her head as she looked at the redhead, giving a small smile. âI was stood up. I finally gave in to a friendâs choice in guys and he never showed up, so I am just kind of stayed here to drink it off. No biggy.â

âBut Christmas time means Christmas essentials. How can you go through December without watching Elf or Home Alone? How do you even get in the holiday spirit? With no snow on the ground and no holiday movies, itâs just impossible. It may as well me an afternoon in April.â Christmas was easily Dominicâs favourite holiday, and he hd just spent his first one away from home. He saw pictures, of course, and his family facetimed him during their family dinner. And while it was cute, all it really did was make him miss Toronto even more than originally.Â
âAh, like I said, Dom. Christmas isnât really our thing. My mom died before Christmas and after that, the holiday just isnât special anymore. We do gifts, but thatâs it. I lost the holiday spirit a long time ago,â Emmy gave a small shrug. With her momâs death and her dad in prison, holidays arenât really that big. In fact, she usually asks to work those days. Gave her an easy excuse. âAlthough, I do love the Christmas parade we do. They have these adorable snowmen that are so chubby and I just love them. If I ever wanted to decorate for Christmas, I would find them in a stuffed form.â
What Disney character do you think you'd be?
Personality wise or looks wise? I always connected to Rapunzel. I love the arts and I love her positive personality. If we also consider Star Wars to be Disney, I think Iâm basically Rey in a nutshell. So a Rey/Rapunzel hybrid. I donât think I look like a Disney character, though.
Favorite experience from DCP?
My roommates. They were so much fun. When we didnât work, we were having a blast around the city.
Why did you choose to work at Disney?
It was a place that my aunt always took me when I was younger. Kind of my therapy back then, so when I got older, I wanted to put magic into kidsâ lives like they did for me back then.

âDidnât she also get her mother turned into a bear?â Dominic pressed, though he wasnât sure if he remembered that from the movie, or was making it up right then and there. If he was being honest, the first and only time he. watched Brave was at the movies with a girl when he was 16, and they spent more time making out in the back of the half empty theatre than actually watching the movie. Why else would a 16 year old pay for a Disney movie? âCorrect me if Iâm wrong, but those arenât exactly classic Christmas movies.â
âMinor details. And it was also her brothers. Cute little nuggets, actually. The little bear cubs. She still kicked ass. Almost made me wanna try archery,â Emmy shrugged as she thought for a moment. Taking a drink of water, she smiled at his comment. âI didnât say we watched classic Christmas movies. We like Star Wars and we wanted to see the new movie, so we binged the last two and went to see the new one. Which is amazing, by the way. Wow,â she smiled, shaking her head.

Dom: Theyâre really tall so Iâm willing to test my luck Dom: You sure you donât mind coming with me?
emmy: I think they would be fine. emmy: Are you kidding? I love that place. Iâll go again.
dominiccorderioâ:
Dominic: What do you think my rate of success will be if I try and sneak them in? The boys are 17 so just barely 18
emmy: they didnât check id and I was nineteen the first time I went, so I thnk you might be able to sneak them in. I think itâs really just when itâs OBVIOUS that they arenât eighteen.
cassiiasâ
curled up across from her on the couch, cassia had to chuckle. âthe sad part is the majority of parents that bring their kids to disneyland can afford it, meaning theyâre rich and they look at you like a peasant,â she shrugged. âcorporations, man. theyâre absolutely ridiculous. i mean, how much money does disney really need? but i digress â iâm just glad youâll be able to chill out a little more so i donât have to have these little interventions,â cassia teased, shoving emmyâs shoulder gently. âyou need to come down to the studio and see some of the stuff iâve been working on⊠i think iâm really on to something.â
âThese parents really are introducing their kids to be complete dicks. I dance because then I donât have to talk to anyone. I dance, people like my dance and thatâs that,â the Latina gave a shrug as she took a drink of wine. âAs long as they pay me, I could care less. Itâs so weird to work with Mickey though. And you have to act like you know what heâs saying to tell the kids. I just. Not my thing.â Emmy gave a small roll of her eyes in thought. âYes. I really want to hear what you have going on. Give me the distraction and your talent.â
dominiccorderio
âCompletely overrated,â Dominic agreed enthusiastically. âThey act like theyâre the only two princesses to exist when itâs so painfully obvious that Mulan would kick their ass no problem. She saved all of China and what did they do? Bring back summer. Big deal.â Dominic leaned back in his seat and ran a hand through is hair. He hadnât expected himself to get so heated from simply talking about Disney, but Anna and Elsa sucked. End of story. âOh that sounds fun either way. What did you watch?â
âOr someone like Merida who doesnât need a man to rely on. All these princesses fall in love within a day and then they act like they canât live without them. Merida got shit done and didnât need a guy to help her out,â Emmy smiled at him, nodding her head. âMulan is also one that kicks ass and takes names. The others are just so wimpy. Itâs pathetic.â The Latina smiled as she ran her hand through her hair, thinking for a moment. âWe watched The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and then went to the movies and saw The Rise of the Skywalker.â
dominiccorderioâ
Dom: I bet you paid an arm and a leg for it though. But ok I guess if itâs worth it then itâs worth whatever you ended up payingÂ
Dom: sheâs basically your sister then.Â
emmy: it was like fifteen bucks. better than what i thought it would be. itâs a good rehearsal shirt now, though. emmy: pretty much. the only difference is our last names.
dominiccorderio
Dom: Can you fake it? Or would they know? Iâd do it if I didnât get in trouble for it. Why buy an expensive shirt when you can get that for free Dom: Iâm sure you were both complete angels
emmy: No clue on that end. I thought I was going to pass out, but I ended up being more intrigued than anything. Still got a shirt though. No one would believe me that I went if I didnât have one. emmy: to other people, we were. not really to each other. i threw a hair brush at her before for stealing my shirt. weâre close in age and my aunt raised me since I was six, so we had our fair share of arguments, but i guess it was like how sisters would be.
