“It wasn’t intentional. They said it was possibly poisoned. It wasn’t necessarily true.’
“You should have tossed it out, Ringabel. Using the child as a test subject is no less of a crime.”
“Edea, there is wonderful news. I am a free man~”
“Only because there was an antidote prepared at the hospital! They should at least charge you with attempted murder.”
“Well…. If they inevitably die, I’d rather not go to jail. Do you know what happens to men like me in jail? So, let’s go hide the body.”
“If they die, I’m helping the law enforcement ensure your arrest. Enjoy being someone’s bitch.”
“I’ll go look for a coffin.”
“Why are you so determined to let this child die?”
“I’m not sure what I’ve done either. It might be too late.”
“At least try instead of standing around like a useless idiot!”
journalofd replied to your post:“These riddles are causing mayhem…” She’s keeping...
“I might have just poisoned a child. I should go into hiding.”
“I’m not sure what you’ve done or how, but you better undo it. Find the antidote!”
“These riddles are causing mayhem...”
She’s keeping in mind to smack tea out of people’s hands if she sees them with it.
“… Hunger.” There is currently one Sunny holding her tummy tightly trying to figure out what would be the quickest to eat.
“Me too...” Don’t worry, Sunny. You are not alone in your suffering. A loud growling sound can be heard from Edea’s stomach, and she frowned to herself for a moment before perking up.
“So, why don’t we go somewhere? There are loads of cafes on the island I’ve yet to visit.”
“It really does!” It hadn’t hit Sun Jing yet that other people have been living here… It will really soon, yes indeed. She’s not as naive as this, she swears. (Except she is)
“W.. Amazing..” Quietly mumbling to herself as she entered into the building. Despite it’s outside features, the inside felt… So very modern? Was this reality? How had something so old been kept to such current date technology?
“This is the kind of power this Island Holds then.. Huh?! It’s something out of a comic book or children’s show!”
Edea followed her inside, but didn’t seem nearly as surprised, having already taken a look earlier. This house looked so futuristic inside. There were several strange objects she couldn’t place a name or use to. She much preferred this over anything matching the exterior of the building.
“A... what now? I fear I don’t follow.” The blonde gave a curious tilt of her head. A comic book would be a... humorous novel, right? And a children’s show would be a play by or for children perhaps? Who knows? “This island is very strange, isn’t it? I’ve seen technology here that I’m unfamiliar with.”
“Of course. I’m not one to carry on if it’s a lost cause anyway. Besides, not all of my words are cheap~” Completely ignoring her harsh words, he was going to wink then, like he usually would have, but stopped himself as he realised he’d probably be thrown a hundred feet in the air if he did.
“Though I only arrived here a few hours ago… I’m not really sure what to do around here.” He chuckled, sheepishly scratching the back of his head as he did so. “I’m sure I’ll get used to it though.”
“Probably”? If there’s any doubt, ask any of her friends. He would be tossed so far across the ocean, he’d loop around and land on the other side of the island.
“I’ve only just arrived here as well, but that’s no excuse.” Despite herself, there was no denying her tone had lightened up a bit. At least he knew when to quit. “From what I’ve seen, there’s plenty to do. Try getting a job or going shopping. There’s no lack of opportunities.”
Give it a few minutes, and Sun Jing was back to normal. Drifting back in Edea’s general vicinity with a smile brimming on her features— It never happened, nope.
“So— Shall we get acquainted with our new house? I’ve never seen one so wildly structured on the outside before.. It must be just as wild on the inside, right?”
It totally happened. It 100% definitely happened. However, without any solution aside from avoiding mention of it, Edea is willing to pretend if you are.
“Right. Well, it does appear antiquated on the outside, doesn’t it?" Actually, she’s already been inside, but Sun should see what it’s like for herself. “Lets go in and take a look around.”
With her change of expression, his own smile soon started to fade as he realised he probably picked the wrong girl to flirt with. He backed away from her slowly, waving his arms in front of his chest.
“Woah, woah. I get it, I’ll back off. I’m not that stupid that I’ll carry on.” He laughed nervously before lowering his hands away and letting them slip down to his side.
“A wise choice.” The blonde snapped, crossing her arms as she glared up at him. At least he had the slightest bit of brains locked in that skull of his. That was better than some she knew.
"Girls have enough to deal with without your terrible lines. No woman would be impressed by the cheap words of a disgusting toad.”
“Ah— It would seem we’re in the same boat then huh? Hopefully they are as thrilled to meet us as we are them!”
In some way or another, moving in with strangers didn’t bother Sun Jing. She was way more worried about scaring the girls living here, considering she was so terrible with her advances.. Ahahah..
“—-!”
“Nervous? Ha-ha-ha who’s nervous? I’m not? I swear?????”
Nevermind, she’s going to march to stare at the wall. Take a deep breath Sunny, you will handle these feelings one day!
“Wh-- Sun Jing?”
Now she did it. Edea made a mental note to herself not to mention the other’s obvious nervousness again. Every time she did, Sun began blushing furiously and walked away. Maybe she should go over there, but... Maybe she should give her space instead.
“Right. Sorry. Not nervous.”
Now that he’s seen Sun Jing at work talking to new people, he finally decided he needed to catch up. So, time to hunt down the nearest cute girl and start chatting. Hopefully there were more cute girls on this island.
Okay, target acquired. “Hello~ It seems I may be a bit lost, mind showing me the way to your house?”
It is honestly impressive how quickly her expression goes from pleasant to done. Ugh, gross. He’d said two sentences and already gave off as bad a first impression as Ringabel.
“I do mind, but I’ll gladly show your face the way to my fist.”
Coolio she’s living with one of the cute girls she got to know! This was going to be great! Maybe.. Just maybe she could get better at not being so socially awkward around girls?! Sure she could handle them publicly with Qi Fang, but by herself? What a joke!
“I.. I never have myself! I hope I don’t weird the other two out?!” It can get fun Edea, it can get real fun… That or real weird real fast.
“Hmm... I’ve yet to meet them, so I’ve no idea what they’re like.”
It really was odd, the idea of moving in with complete strangers. There were servants around her home when she was growing up, but that was the closest that she was used to. Hopefully they weren’t like some of the others on the island.
“I don’t think you have anything to worry about, though. Your behavior can be... odd, but it’s only because you’re nervous, right?”
“Hey, look, Sun Jing! We live together.”
Sun’s name had appeared on the board after the first time she looked, so it came as a surprise when she found out. A relief as well, actually. She didn’t know many people on the island so it was nice to have someone she was already familiar with around.
“I’ve never lived with so many other girls my age. This might be fun.”
Seeing the petite girl, Volkner wonders if he should be worried. She’s trudging her way through the sand, looking awfully irate and from experience, he knows this isn’t going to end well. He hasn’t even made an introduction and he’s already managed to anger someone. Wow, world record.
He’s about to respond with a witty greeting, but he’s cut short when her accusations reach his ears.
“…”
He’s offended, to say the least. He hasn’t even been on the island for so long and he’s already being blamed for kidnapping. Ridiculous. This is not what he signed up for—though, he figures waking up beached isn’t what he signed up for either. God, what is going on?
“Excuse me?”
“What do you mean ‘excuse me’? It’s not a trick question!”
If she wasn’t in a rage over her situation, Edea may be one of the first to notice that, judging by his reaction, he clearly wasn’t the one responsible for bringing her here- At least, not if you assume that he isn’t acting. However, for this moment, she was carried away with her anger and the shock of the situation.
With her hands on her hips, the blonde leaned forward in what she hoped to be increasingly threatening. He was a bit taller than her, but sometimes it helped to look like you held the same animosity as a jar of shaken bees, ready to be opened if one wrong word is spilled.
“Are you the one responsible for my appearance here? Yes or no?”
