“I sympathise with you entirely - people get crazy sometimes and it’s not really fair on you,” Eva said softly, before shaking her head. “Although as a mom I really don’t know what I would do without my car.”

“I mean I’ve got this - I’ve done the single parent thing before, so this is really nothing. Well, thanks love but I’m sure you have better things to do.”

“If you’re sure. I mean I could babysit if you guys needed a break or something too.”
“Thanks, honey. I couldn’t do that to you, though. They’re a little bit of a handful.”

“I guess I don’t really remember how cute I was because I was living it but as far as I can tell Sam and Soph are the cutest little kids on this side of the country” she smiled.”Yeah, I guess” Jasmine shrugged.
“Well, I promise you that you were extremely cute. You were this gorgeous little blonde thing - you still are,” Eva smiled, nudging her daughter. “You definitely can. You’re going to do amazing things - I absolutely know it.”

“As long as they’re not pouting over something they’re the cutest toddlers in the world. I love her too, I can’t wait until she’s old enough to come to dance with me” she smiled, resting her head on her mum’s shoulder. “Yeah you’re right, even with the twins in the picture we still have more than enough room” she laughed. “I guess I just have an over active imagination.”
“I mean you were pretty cute when you were little Jas, and so was Mads,” Eva smiled fondly down at her daughter, running a hand through the girl’s blonde hair. “Maybe sweetie, but that’s not a bad thing. You can do anything you want with that mind of yours, you know that right?”

she smiled. “honestly there is no correct answer expect what i said earlier, stock up on detergent.” eve said shaking her head lightly. “i’m sure you’re doing great. oh and maybe don’t wear your favorite shirts or pants around them because you’ll never know when they’re going to blow.” a soft laugh escaped her lips. “that’s about all the advice i have for you.”
“I’ve got so much detergent that I feel like I should be one of those women on Extreme Couponers with the stockpiles,” Eva laughed, nodding her head. “Oh, I made that mistake once when Jasmine was little and I’ve never made it again. I miss that blouse every day,” she said, flashing the other woman a knowing smile. “Kids, hey?”

“no, it’s alright. it just means when i completely do everything wrong on it i won’t get in trouble. don’t try to convince me math isn’t dumb. i have no desire to go into anything math related and honestly when do i need to know how to find the area of a circle? never, that’s when.”
“I doubt you’ll get it wrong, Mads - you’re a smart girl. I mean it’s not all dumb, but I get the circle thing. Everyone has to do it though, that’s just how it goes unfortunately. How’s school going aside from math? Everything good?”

“Yeah and no one wants to go anywhere when they’re sick either. Do you need anything? I could run and get you some things if you want.”
“Very true, very true. That’s so sweet of you, but I’m really okay thank you. I’m pretty stocked up as it is, and I can always send my husband out. You enjoy your day, sweetheart.”

“They’re doing well. I saw Jasmine the other day when she was heading off to dance.” He added, returning her smile. “We can try and stop it all we like; there’s nothing more that I want is to keep my girls little as well as my boy, but I think they might disagree with us,”
“I mean you know you can see her in the house, right?” she raised an eyebrow at her husband, laughing. “I reckon we could try, I mean you’re pretty persuasive. Or, you know, we could just have another?” Eva knew where this question had gotten her before, but that didn’t stop her.

It was nice to sit with her and not have any phones ringing and people arguing. “Alright.” He hummed, pressing another kiss to the side of her head. “They’re good kids. We’ll raise them right..” Ben mumbled, glancing down at his wife.
“I know they are - we’ve got this. I mean the girls have turned out alright, haven’t they?” Eva asked, smiling up at him. “They’re all growing up far too quickly though, so if we could try and stop that?”
benxbradley:
Ben hummed, fingers tapping a beat on her arm. “Maybe another time then. In the summer when no one has school,and you’re off work.” He suggested. “I could hire a plane… Rather than take a charter one. Although Sam and Sophie can be a handful, I feel as if they’d behave.”
It was rare that they got to catch such a quiet moment to themselves, so Eva closed her eyes - enjoying her husband’s embrace. “No, you don’t need to hire a plane, Ben. As nice as the thought is - we don’t need lavish expenses,” she let out a small sigh. “I suppose they know when to behave, actually.”
benxbradley:
His blue gaze shifted to her face. “A vacation.” He echoed, nodding slightly. “And where would we go?”
“I don’t know. There’s too much to do here anyway - we both have work, and the girls have school,” Eva shrugged, absent mindedly playing with the material of Ben’s shirt. “Toddlers on a plane is also something I don’t want to try.”

“You’re sick? I’m sorry, love.”

“ i really hope you’re stocked up on laundry detergent.” evelyn chuckled softly. “i wish i had some expert knowledge to lay on you but i don’t.” she said rolling her eyes in a playful gesture.”
“I’ve never been so grateful for Tide, I tell you that,” Eva laughed with the other woman, nodding. It was nice to speak to someone other than a crying toddler for a change. “You don’t? I thought you were an expert in the field.”

“You’re not wrong. They may be hard to find, but they are out there.” Callie agreed, with a nod of her head. “What a fun age.” said the girl who had only ever babysat a two year old for an afternoon. “I’m assuming you always expect the unexpected when it comes to the twins?”
“Oh definitely, and they always come when you least expect them,” Eva nodded. The girl’s comments made her raise her eyebrows a little - it was pretty clear that Callie didn’t have toddlers of her own. “Oh, you should try life with twins - running in two directions is always fun.”

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Mrs. Bradley. Would you like any help with anything?”
“Oh Harlow, sweetie, that’s very kind - but I wouldn’t subject you to my children in their current state. Thank you though.”
