Ever since she had heard of people slowly being released from St. Mungoâs, Bella had been watching every individual like a hawk. Waiting to see how they would react after the whole fighting fiasco at the ball, whether they were all for it or if they were now terrified of the world. The easiest thing to spot now though was people who were questioning their family and friends after the reveal of both the Order and the Death Eaters, something she wasnât sure would ever have come to light until later on. But she would take it day by day, listening for anyone that seemed to agree with the cause before welcoming them into the fold. Evangeline was someone she still couldnât pick up on anything from, she seemed to understand that everyone was being watched from every angle and had decided to hide behind a mask.
âIt certainly doesnât seem like it,â Bella commented, knowing full well that if she didnât reign it in then sheâd have people questioning her about why she wasnât as downcast after everything. But she didnât care much, people already knew where her values landed on equality and blood purity, it was only a matter of time before people made the connection anyway. âIt was quite a boring evening up until the end, something about dealing with parents and the constant questions about when thereâs going to be a marriage just sets such a dull tone.â
Her hands paused over her notebook, pushing it to one side as she raised her drink back up to her lips. Taking in the attitude of everyone else in the bar, it was somewhat nonchalant. No doubt, it made it more evident the political alignment, or lack thereof, of a lot of people who drank in the Grave Affair. It hadnât been a shocking revelation to Evangeline, the news of the Death Eaters or the Order of the Phoenix. What more shocked Eva was the discovery of Claudetteâs face below the mask. The Claudette Delacour that Eva knew would not partake in such activities. It was an advantage that not many would know of Evangelineâs devotion to Claudette. Her family had done their best to keep that information under wraps. Perhaps, she could use this conversation to her advantage. It was a slim chance, but the possibility was there.
âI suppose, it may take a few days or weeks to sink in. That these two factions exist.â Evangeline shrugged, her glance returning back to the woman sitting in front of her. âIt was obvious to the likes of us that there was a divide for decades..â A pause. âbut I think for some people itâs only just reared its head.â At Bellatrixâs next statement, Eva tried her best to suppress a scoff. Was a dull evening really worse that what occurred. âQuite a shock. Claudette Delacour, she doesnât seem the type?â @wickedbellax¡Â
