Hi, I’m Eve and I am a Yorkshire based photographer specialising in wedding photography & portraiture! My photographic approach will focus on capturing your wedding day in a natural and authentic way. My style is very much journalistic, capturing those candid moments and all of the little details along the way. All of this done as inconspicuously as possible, I will document your wedding as it unfolds hiding in the background without being obtrusive. My aim is to create stunning and contemporary images that you will treasure for a lifetime simply by observing from the inside rather than an outsider looking in! Through studying a fine art photography degree at University I have a passion for creativity. Often it is not just about primarily about recording something, it is about revealing something else… the artistry is in the unseen as much as the seen and the extraordinary within the ordinary. This is reflected in my wedding photography seeking to make images that exuberate the personality and style of each unique couple! I am very relaxed and friendly and this extends into how I work as a professional photographer. I love meeting new people and I feel very lucky to be chosen to be part of any couples special day!

Away with the stars // ⭐️🐰✨📷

Last week I photographed little Eli at sixteen days old and he was as good as gold! This newborn shoot gave me chance to try out my lovely new star bulb light, how cute!? .. not as cute Eli's rabbit slippers (they even jangled!)

Its a throwback! 

So I haven’t uploaded a blog post in while, i’ve had a rather busy summer! 

As I was browsing through the archives yesterday evening, I came across my FIRST new born session and I thought I’d share a few ‘vintage’ Eve Hopkinson Photography snaps (ha!). I took these towards the end of Spring in 2011 as I was finishing my first year of university and I remember being completely terrified! I don’t think I’d ever actually held a baby properly let alone photographed one! (Sorry Ben & Aly, the parents who probably weren’t aware of this at the time - oops!).

Since this little newborn session I’ve come on leaps and bounds, mostly with confidence in my self and also finding my own kind of style I’m comfortable with! Between then and now I have faffed around with various lighting / ‘white’ backdrop set ups and have had some nightmare shoots along the way - I can safely say that style is just not me! My approach with photography is to be as natural as possible, newborn sessions are done in the comfort of the home with available light, often by a window! Combining snaps of baby among fluffy blankets and earthy baskets, with lifestyle portraits of baby and proud parents! One thing I keep in mind is to always stay true to myself and my own style!

Images from Rach & Alex’s engagement photoshoot at the wonderful Thoresby Hall! This pair are tying the knot on the 24th June next year at this stunning venue, we chose a hazy Sunday to head to Thoresby and explore! 

Engagement / Pre-wedding shoots are the perfect opportunity for me to get to know each couple, and them me! Feeling relaxed and at ease is a big thing on your wedding day and these shoots are a great way of easing you into it, combating those camera-shy nerves and generally just making you feel much more comfortable in front of the camera! However don’t worry too much, my style is very relaxed and I try to be as unobtrusive as possible - you probably won’t even notice me on the day! 

I can’t wait to be back at Thoresby.. when these guys will become Mr & Mrs!!

Here are a few pictures from Emily & James’ fun engagement shoot yesterday, Emily found inspiration from good old Pinterest for their Save the Date cards! Luckily, Lottie, their lovely Lab was on her best behaviour with help from ‘dog handler’ i.e Mum and trusty ball!

Sunny days with Peg 

A throw back to a sunny day in the garden last summer with Peggy. 

When meeting new humans Peggy often gets the same old remark “oh look at that old fella” ... I’m sure it does’t offend her, she's confident in her wrinkly skin & grey fur! Here are some lovely snaps I took of my pal looking her best among the flowers!

Now the light nights are here I can’t wait for some sunshine and more time in the garden with Peg.

Easter Sunday with Crackers, 2016! 

Another wonderful Easter Sunday buffet with Crackers & Company! A lovely time was had by all, with a fantastic spread and smiles all round .. not forgetting a heart warming speech by the fabulous Betty (it is tradition after all!)

365 Functional Fitness - Three year anniversary & Fundraiser! 

A couple of weekends ago I took part in a fundraising day to celebrate three successful years for 365 functional fitness studio at the Creative Village, Worksop.
