Now that it's over, I wanna know your opinion on Shiraishi's ending. Because I am mixed on it. Noda mentioned YEARS ago a Shiraishi spin-off and maybe that'll clear my own issues up but its been a long time so who knows if it actually happens.

As sad as I was to see him sneak off and leave the squad, it was pretty great to see that he went and did what Boutarou wanted to do (presumably become king of some nation) It's also completely in character cause he would 100% cry if he said goodbye so he just...won't say goodbye (get back here you bitch)

I do think it is fitting for him to leave Japan. He is still a wanted criminal after all. Like, he cannot participate in most activities that Asirpa and Sugimoto are going to do to liberate the Ainu people without causing an incident cause "Hey isn't that the Escape King? Why is he at negotiations why do you have a wanted criminal?"

I know that Satoru Noda kind of teases a spin-off for Shiraishi at the end. I think he's a little busy with his hockey manga though...Satoru Noda just know I'll read anything you wanna write but especially the Shiraishi story

Well that's it. I finally finished this ginormous project that I started one drunk night while trying to get my friends into Golden Kamuy by going through my personal screenshots

It has been a wild ride. I've had a lot going on these last two years, but this project was the one constant in my life that kept me sane

Everyone's little tags gave me such joy, to know that you love this guy as much as I do

To everyone who sent asks: Thank you. I really enjoy putting on my analysis brain and yapping about Shiraishi. If anyone wants to send more asks, please feel free to! I'll still put on my thinking cap for you

I really thought that the anime would beat me to the ending before I got there, but I I'm happy they are taking their time and I'll see you all this winter for the series finale!
