Tom you utter butt-twitch.Ā
((What if Tom crashlanded on Doomstone? Though if you're not interested, you can just ignore this)) The small explosion a couple miles away definitely caught Dan's attention. When he went to go investigate, he could hear crying and picked up his speed until he arrived at the destroyed ship. "Hey, you a'right, kid?" The bull-man asked, kneeling down and looking at the crying boy.
When he heard him, Tom glanced up, then he let out a tiny yelp and hid behind a nearby rock. He looked scary! Was he one of those strangers his papa warned him about? After a short pause, he peered over at him. Well, despite his looks, heĀ seemedĀ nice⦠But what if it was a trap?Ā
"I-Iām lost!"
"Ah, good!" Well, at least he looked happy to see one of his parents. And he would be going home, where he was at least safe. Dan smiled slightly at that. Still, he couldnāt help but feel a bit worried as the ship neared, and hoped Congenial Rock wasnāt now on his Paās āInvade and/or Destroyā list.
As Peepers flew overheard, he frantically looked around for his son. ComeĀ on, he said he was around here somewhere, didn't he? Oh, he swore, when heĀ found that boy, he was dead... Did he really have to run off like that!? HeĀ was LUCKY that his daddy didn't notice that he was gone yet, but thatĀ didn't mean he still didn't have to deal with his papa. When he spotted the tavern that he mentioned, and the man who he said helped him, a relieved smile spread across his face. He landed nearby, then hid his grin with an angry frown as he approached his son. "Papa!" Tom happily cried out when he saw him. At first he started to run towards him, but when he got close enough to see the expression on his face, he did a 180 and hid behind Dan. For a second, he almost forgot how SCARY papa was when he was mad! Peepers stopped when he saw the bull-man, then gave him a strained, nervous smile and started to cautiously walk around him. "Thanks for your help, I have no idea what I'd do if something happened to him!", heĀ chirped. Then, his cheerful toneĀ fell as he grabbed Tom's arm and started to tug him back to the ship.Ā "Do you have any IDEA how worried I was about you!? You could of been killed! You could of gotten captured by an enemy! And what were you thinking, you can't even drive!? Do you have any idea how much it costs to get a saucer repaired!? I swear, if you weren't my son..." As his father continued to lecture him, Tom looked back at Dan and waved goodbye. Hopefully they'd be able to meet again eventually...

"Well, ya never know," Dan shrugged, "Still, I hope it all works out for ya. ā¦Kinda wish I could do more to help yer situation." It just didnāt seem fair, nor did it seem right. He couldnāt imagine how lonely the kid mustāve felt, being trapped in his room for so long.Ā
"Yeah, I hope it works out tooā¦" Tom awkwardly chuckled as he rubbed his head. "I mean, heh, he canāt ground me forever, can he?" Then, he stuffed his hands in his pockets and stared up at the sky. Come on, papa couldn't beĀ too far away, could he? After a few minutes, he grinned and pointed upwards.
"I think I see him!"

Tom shrugged. Well, he didnāt really say, but he could guess. āI think one of the saucers, he said heās coming alone.ā
"Alrightā¦" Dan was silent for a moment, wondering what else he could say. "I, I hope evārything works out for ya, kid. I canāt imagine itās very fun beinā in your room all alone fer days on end, but maybe itāll get better soon. I mean, no doubt heās mad at ya, but maybe seeinā that you were desperate enough āta run away from home will make yer Pa try even harder, and maybe even convince yer dad to finally end yer punishment."
Hah, yeah, he doubted that would happen. Daddy didn't even seem like he was listening toĀ papa much lately, so what could he possibly do anyways? Tom sighed and rolled his eye. "Yeah, I kinda doubt that's gonna happen. In fact, if daddy finds I ran off, I think I'm gonna be evenĀ less likely to go anywhere soon."

Tom dialed his papaās cell phone number, then waited. He didnāt really want daddy to find out that he ran off, he was mad enough. Maybe his papa would go a bit easier on him? Better yet, maybe he wouldnāt mention it to daddy? He did say that he thought that daddyās punishment was way too harsh as it was.Ā
He spoke to him for a few minutes, as he told them exactly where it was. Then, when he was done, he put the phone back and started to carefully climb down. āā¦He says heāll be here in a bit, he sounds pretty madā¦ā, he muttered.
"Well, considering yaāll ran away from home, that aināt too surprising. ā¦Did uh, did he say that he was bringinā the big skull ship, or is he bringinā a small one like the one you were drivinā?"
Tom shrugged. Well, he didn't really say, but he could guess. "I think one of the saucers, he said he's coming alone."

Tom lowered his head slightly and closed his eye when he felt him pat it. Then when he was sure he was done, he looked up at him and smiled. āYeah, Iām not really that hungry anymore.ā Then he nodded, and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he got ready to follow him.
"Aāright, then lets go." With everyone else still busy and not really paying attention, they were able to leave pretty easily. Once they were outside, Dan led him to the side of the building where an old payphone sat - which ran on crystals instead of coins. So - once he propped up a trashcan near the phone so the kid could actually reach the buttons - he inserted one crystal, and then picked Tom up, placing him on top of the can.

When he heard him, he gave him an expression that was best described as a mix of a grimace and a grin. Good, heād still help him out. Although he was pretty sure that the others didnāt necessarily want to anymore. Would whoever owned the phone he mentioned let him use it now? More importantly, would he even be safe here now?
He gave him a cheerful nod and chirped, āThanks mister~!ā
"Heh, no problem kid," Dan smiled, giving Tom a small pat on the head. He then noticed that his burger was gone. "Yaāllāre done eatinā already? Well, the payphoneās right outside, so I guess yer free āta call yer folks whenever you want, and Iāll show ya where it is."Ā
Tom lowered his head slightly and closed his eye when he felt him pat it. Then when he was sure he was done, he looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah, I'm not really that hungry anymore." Then he nodded, and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he got ready to follow him.

Tom looked around the bar, then up at him. āCan I still? I mean, it sounds like some of the others donāt want me to. I promise that Iāll tell them not to invade the planet or anything!ā
He smiled slightly. āI know ya will, and thatās definitely appreciated. But even if ya canāt convince them⦠well, I still wanna help ya get home.ā

"I-Iām lost!"
"Huh?" Turning his attention away from all the people talking, Dan looked down at the boy. "Hey, whereāre ya goinā?" Maybe the townspeople were nice, but there were still wild creatures around the asteroid. And with a busted ship, there was no way he could leave, at least not right away. "Donāt ya need to call yer dad-" He was met with protests from the others of course, but he ignored them.Ā
Tom looked around the bar, then up at him. "Can I still? I mean, it sounds like some of the others don't want me to. I promise that I'll tell them not to invade the planet or anything!"

"I-Iām lost!"
"Uhā¦"
"Wait, Dan! You brought Lord Haterās kid here?!ā āWell, I didnāt know who his dad was!ā āWhat are we gonna do now?!ā āWeāll be lucky if he doesnāt blow the whole town up when he comes to get his kid!ā āOr turn us into slaves!ā āWe just started giving this town a good rep and now itās gonna get destroyed! Thanks a lot, Dan!ā āNow hold on, he might not do anything!ā āHa! Oh, yeah, sure, cause Lord Haterās such a nice guy! - No offense kid.ā
Soon, the whole tavern was filled with talking, the people inside it either panicking or trying to think of a plan to get Tom home safe and sound while still saving themselves.
The kid looked around the tavern as he tried to think of what to do now. Should he stick here until he got a chance to call papa? Maybe it'd be better to slip out before he caused any trouble?
He wrapped his burger in his napkin and slipped it into his pocket. He wasn't really hungry anymore, but he could save it for later. Then he started to dig out some money, he wasn't completely sure if the bull would still be willing to pay for his meal after this.
"...Well, thanks for the help, but I should probably get going...", he mumbled as he started to climb off his stool.

"I-Iām lost!"
Honestly, he agreed with the lemon. Knowing his daddy, he was probably just as angry as when he chewed him out for it. Instead of answering, he just sat there for a few moments in silence.
When they brought him his food, he smiled and muttered a thanks. Then, right before he took a bite, he shrugged and answered, āEveryone else calls them Lord Hater and Commander Peepers.ā
The bar went totally silent, and the kid now had everyoneās attention.
"Uhh, say what now?"
Tom cringed and sunk in his seat. Okay, in hindsight, he shouldn't of told them. It was pretty clear that they knew exactly who his parents were.Ā
After a long pause, he repeated what he said, but quieter than before. "...Erm, Lord Hater and Commander Peepers..."

"I-Iām lost!"
"Huh⦠Well, Iām sorry āta hear that, Tom," Dan said, looking sympathetic.Ā
"Well, maybe your dad - er, your other dad - and you can talk to him together!" William suggested.
"Yeah, that might work!" Oink nodded, feeling confident, "And hey, if itās been two months, he has to be at least a little less upset about it by now!"
"Ha!" Lemon said suddenly as he and Apple brought over Tomās burger, "Judging by what the kidās said about him, I doubt it!"
Apple gave his second head a stern look as he sat the plate down in front of the boy. āHere ya go, kid, enjoy!ā Normally he wouldāve just gone back to work, but Apple couldnāt help but stare at him. āSay⦠Who did you say your dads were?ā

"Well⦠Thereās this friend of mine, and he told me that I couldnāt hang out with her because heĀ really hates her dad. I did anyways, he found out somehow, so he grounded me. Itās been around two months now, and it looked like I wasnāt getting out any time soon, so I ran away.ā
"Over two months?!" "Just for visiting a friend?" "Geez, talk about strict!"
"But couldnāt ya just talk to āim?" Dan asked, "Like, just tell him ya learned yer lesson or promise him not āta do it again or somethinā like that? Surely heād unground ya then!"
"Hah!", Tom scoffed. "Believe me, I tried. He doesn't really listen too well... Also he's still pretty mad about it, so I guess all I can do is wait for him to cool down. Whenever that will be. At this rate, I'm starting to wonder if I'll move out first."

"I-Iām lost!"
"Nope, all adults here," William answered, "Itās uh, kind of a small town." Well, that was the half truth, at least. Probably wasnāt the best idea to tell a little kid that everyone in the town was a wanted fugitive (or at least pretended to be one).Ā
"But we certainly donāt mind a kid visitinā!" said another bar patron - a short, green skinned woman with pink and black hair and a leather vest, "Still, shouldnāt you be with your family?"
Well, that was weird... Tom pondered why that could be for a few moments, then after a long pause, he shrugged. Well, it wasn't that important anyways. Maybe it was just a town of men or something? ...Wait, on second thought, there was a lady over there. So why...?
The little boy frowned and crossed his arms at the mention of his folks. "I ran away, I don't wanna go home... My daddy's a jerk, and my sister's a brat. My papa's okay, but he doesn't really do much about what daddy does..."

"I-Iām lost!"
Tom flashed him a worried look when he said that. Was that too weird? Should he change his order? Did they even serve burgers this early? Then when he handed him his orange juice, and told him that his meal would be ready soon, he smiled and chirped, āKay!ā After that, he picked up his cup and started to sip his juice.
Dan smiled at Tom. He definitely seemed like a good kid. ā¦Too bad he was having problems at home. āHopefully he and his folksāll be able āta work somethinā out,ā he thought.
As they continued to wait, some of the more curious and friendly people in the bar moved closer to them. āWeāve never had a kid here before,ā said a little cactus, wearing a bandana around his neck and couple belts, āBut it sure is nice āta have ya visit! My nameās William, whatās yours?ā
Tom grinned and held out his hand. Well, unlike the rest of the bar partons, this guy actuallyĀ looked friendly. Not that the others weren't, but their appearances still made him a tad nervous.Ā
"My name's Tom, it's nice to be here too! To be honest, I thought I was gonna starve to death in the wilderness or something... And are there really not any kids around?"
