Indefinite hiatus. Thank you to those that made Hana's interactions and my time playing her happy and memorable. Maybe one day I'll be back and maybe I won't. I've had a habit of coming back to this muse, anyways. But until then, thank you. And until then, goodbye.
Yes, he was most definitely embarrassed to fall into the pool of typical statements but what to do when her face was only a few seconds born in his memory? Jongin suppressed a nervous chuckle, fingers hovering over eyes in a moment of mild, playful sadness for the words of before. "Ah.. I know, but this means we can always make it so later on I have more to say, right? A boost is always nice— I’m Jongin, by the way, Kim Jongin. You are..?"
A bark of laughter nearly bubbled to her lips but only managed to come out as a chuckle. Grin forming on her face, her posture had teasingly straightened as if she were a student greeting a senior, heading nodding once in agreement with his statement before she spoke. "Seol-Ha-Na." How childish of her, to speak in that odd little singsong tone. "But since we're aiming to say more in the future, I guess you can call me Hana." A number of dainties oddities occurred, most of which dealt with her demeanor. Ranging from how her hands would clasp behind her back and her frame would subtly rock on its heels to how her expression could change as fast as once switches on the lights. Overall it was playful, coming from her, at least. "You know, aside from the typicalness, at least you weren't afraid to say such things. Most people tend to be timid with complimenting someone, I think, but I take it you're not in that group of people?"
I’ve got nothing material to offer you other than leftover Halloween candy and stale poptarts, but that shouldn’t stop you from wanting to join me in a platonic make out session or two. I hear I give great kisses and even better Christmas gifts, so that’s a plus. I’ve also got a dog, that usually goes over well with people. I’ll let you play with my hair and look at my car (from a safe distance, thank you). With an unreadable poker face, Woobin made a mental note of what she said by taking her words into consideration. He could empathize, understanding where she was coming from as he too felt the same way. Yet, here they were having quite possibly the most interesting conversation they’ve yet to have. A pensive thought came to mind as the gears began to shift. He wondered what she meant by not ‘expecting to find him again after returning’ and instead of deducing an answer based on her choice of words and her behavior, he pointed it out.
“You know,” he slowly drawled onto the unconventional thought. “As a consulting detective, I don’t believe in coincidences as I doubt the universe is rarely so lazy. Everything — including a chance encounter — has a purpose and some sort of meaning to it. Though it may or may not make sense at the time, sometimes all one needs to do is read in between the lines to figure it out.” He didn’t mean for it to sound so… matter of fact like in his rambles. However, at the same time, there was a sense logic to his uncanny madness.
Thin fingers curving around her mug, her gaze slowly crawled over towards the window. There wasn't a grand view or anything, only a dimly lit courtyard with the view of the street too distant to be in focus. Some people preferred this kind of weather for late night coffee at a cafe. Some people liked how the empty hall made quiet conversations like this eerily echo throughout the room. His words had seemed to wander around every soon to be wiped table before making their way to the dazed girl. Rather than answering immediately, her lips only twitched into a subtle grin. Already her mind had plucked multiple reasons for her return, just like how the child version of herself had once picked certain flowers at the park. It was then that the song on the radio changed, the strummed acoustic warming her expression from the inside out.
Eyes now on her company, she'd lazily lolled her head to one side and offered a much more relaxed smile. "I came back because of this," she started, briefly watching her fingertips lightly drum against her cup. "I think meeting someone again happens because of triggers. Like with this song..mm, naturally I thought of the cafe. The routine, the co-workers, the customers"—she'd flashed a subtly cheeky grin at him when she said this —" and all the things with it. And then the more I listened, the more I thought of every other memory with it. I thought of when Tae and I would pull all-nighters at my apartment and sing along while we finished work. I thought of someone I could relate the lyrics to best...." For a moment, she'd become quiet in thought. Even then her lips were subconsciously mouthing the chorus, as if that were part of the flashbacks in her mind. "I mean it isn't just a song. It could be a cologne or a rose or anything. But I figured if little things like that had made me nostalgic enough to actually be sad, maybe I should try again." Seemingly uninterested in her empty cup, her arms had folded over one another so that her chin wouldn't have to rest on the tabletop. When she'd spoken again, her voice was a little lighter. More thoughtful, more childish, more like herself. "I don't know what triggered you, or maybe I haven't read into it enough.You know you could have known I'd come back and never approached again, but since you don't quite believe in coincidences, why didn't you seem to mind when we met up again?"

That's the whole point of asking for someone's number, right? mean for all I know, you could be asking for my number so you could get easier access to coffee and pastries.

Dear Kikwang aka bae,
Firstly, I didn't expect to become friends, let alone close friends with you. Secondly, I didn't expect to dance with you and actually enjoy it. Thirdly, I didn't expect you and Adam and Yoko and I to have our own little...family, I guess you could call it. But I think someone once said the best things were unexpected. Or maybe no one said it and I'm saying it now but the point is that I'm glad that all those things have happened, expected or not. I wasn't quite sure what to make of you. I thought you were extremely sarcastic and inconsiderate and harsh. And you were, somewhat, in the beginning. Of course now I see that you're genuine, and you don't sugarcoat things with me. Sometimes I get irritated at that last part but you know why. I guess it's because you do seem to care for me and for some inexplicable reason, that means a lot to me. So thank you. And although we aren't close to reveal everything on our minds to one another...I still think we're close. I mean other than having the access code to my apartment and knowing what my favorite cupcakes are, we can dance together, eat together, be overly affectionate pet owners together, and sometimes share face masks together. I hope you take it as a good thing that I share things like that with you, especially the juice boxes. Not everyone gets that. But unlike everyone else, you don't really get...the affection I normally give out. Not that you aren't affectionate or anything, but I really don't feel like I have to be like that around you. Caught with her straw between her lips, hand wrapped around her phone, and eyes too focused on whatever pixelated entertainment was on the screen, the girl only responded with a chipper 'hmm?' before facing her company. It wasn't until her gaze flickered over to the unfamiliar face that she released her straw and set the beverage on her table. Childishly, her head tilted, as if the gesture plus the eye contact would assure that he was speaking to her. "Err—yes—and no. Well yes if you mean Seoul but you know Seoul is a pretty large place—or so I think. You may not, of course. But as for this area...hmm...'ve frequented this place before, if that means anything to you." Only a second had passed until she'd realized her words were too rushed if not rambled. She only offered a sheepish grin, as if that were some sort of consolation. "Are you looking for something, mister?"
