Elena pouted and grasped either of his wrist when he turned and firmly cuffed them behind his back. “Stefan.” Elena went up on her tip-toes and rested her chin atop his shoulder. “Why not? You never backed down before. I always wanted to have some fun like this with you one day…” with that she released his wrists from her grip and gingerly placed her hand against his cheek like she’d once had, standing behind him and sighed.

“Don’t hide from me…”

Stefan stiffened as she cuffed his wrists from behind, feeling a small amount of strength she possibly possessed that could over power him…if he aloud it. If he didn’t stupidly fight back, whether the act killed him or not. Her chin dug into his shoulder, making him arching closer into her by the stern of her hold. One day. Such words made this moment seem planned from the start for them, their horrid destiny together. Stefan remained silent as she spoke, his jawline twitching as it clenched tightly together, teeth gritting against one another. Finally, she let him go and before he could react of moving away, she placed her hand lightly against his cheek as she had once before. Standing there behind him and sighing softly.

Stefan didn't like where this was going. “I’m not hiding. I have no reason to hide myself. Not from you. Not from anyone. What you have in my mind for fun and what I have in mind are two different answers.” Stefan moved away from her hold, her fingers brushing against his cheek, leaving a tingle of warmth spread across his cheek. He turned his back away from her, in the balance of two overbearing emotions: anger and frustration and perhaps there was third laced in their. Yet his thoughts would never grasp that now.

Gradually, Stefan stepped closer to her; he stared at her, stubbornly. Perking a brow, Mila smirked, snickering softly, “Oooh, yeah. You’re definitely the sarcastic type. And I may be self proclaimed, but I like to think I’m pretty damn accurate most of the time. And I’m not having trouble, just trying to avoid being yelled at. You’d be surprised how many people are offended when you say you think they’re being sarcastic…”

“I would say I’m fairly good at adapting. I’ve had to do a lot of it recently.” MIla smirked, tilting her head. “Riiiight. So, you’re the broody, deep kind of guy, aren’t you?”

 “Whatever gave you such a hint on that assumption of my character,” Stefan inquired flatly, his smirk widening a little, “Oh I’m not surprised in the slightest. People can be such poor sports in regards to intelligent humor. They can’t handle it especially when it regards to themselves and is truth spoken.”  

"Then you're a few steps ahead than most in surviving." Stefan shook his head, almost on the urge of laughing at her remark however he held such a thing back. "I was once," he flatly remarked, "Not anymore."

I'm old enough to give you a good view of my life. Can people change? From my personal experiences yes they can, but within limits. Towns can change too because it takes people to form a town. This would be but a speck of wild land without our terminology in place.

“So you remember our old escapades.” The angel chuckled. “There are a lot of things I can do, Stefan.” Elena replied as she eyed him with a half smirk; it was not a threat but more of a dare of sorts. “Many things you’d find fascinating I’m certain and yet, here I stand with heightened tolerance and sore muscles.” she raised a brow and didn’t flinch when Stefan took more steps toward her; certain that he would by no means harm her, the reason for a jumping heartbeat for a completely different reason altogether; the closer Stefan came, the more her skin flushed, her most basic of instincts reacting to him.

“Hm. Elena swiped her tongue across her lips tentatively, reclining her head backward against the tree. Her mind was clear. “Interested in finding out?”

Stefan rolled his eyes and shook his head when Elena teased him, tilting his head and frowned slightly. “A noble show off ,” he humored, his ears took note of her jumpy heartbeat. Stefan swallowed hard as his eyes lingered across her frame. Yet she hadn’t dared to move away from him as he gradually came closer to her. “I certainly do find out a lot things fascinating."  Stefan never truly understood lust, nor did he understand how it could so easily enticed like his brother, causing them to act like randy rabbits in the most awkward of places, but being near Elena and in the haze of thirst he could grasp that side. Lust for hunger, a true glutton but he wasn’t about to ask if he could have a taste from Elena. She would retain that smirk across her face, beam at him and eventually use it against him.

“I’m very interested in finding out,” he taunted, inches closer to her, only holing a slight apprehensive at the thin distance between them.

“Chubby? Shut up. I train to make it so I can keep up stamina.” Elena tilted her head and rolled her eyes, sipping the vodka easily as she’d become the heavy drinker recently. Elena licked her lips as she glanced at his own to spur the game on a bit further with a sarcastic smirk before catching his green orbs yet again. “I think you’re curious, Stefan. I day say you liked seeing me in my short shorts. Hm? Or you were searching for bunnies since we’re in the middle of…nowhere.” 

“Careful, wouldn’t get too close to me if I were you.”

“Touchy.” An easy smile came to his face as he approached the brunette a little more. He noted the quantity of liquor she swigged down and if she kept to the same volume she would be faced on the dirt ground in couples of minutes. Unless the drunken angel thing was all but an act for attention yet Elena was never good with her liquor since he knew of her in the past. Voice smooth as silk as he hummed after her remark, licking his bottom lip partially as he shook his head. “I’ve seen you in less wear, Elena. But you’re right there’s just some about those short shorts,” his voice laced with sarcasm, “I’m not in the mood for bunnies nor is it the season.

Taking a small step towards him...and then another... It didn't matter of her threat. “Oh, what are you going to do if I get into your bubble?”

Dean had to quirk an eyebrow at Stefan’s friendly comment. Really? Dude was a borderline humanity-less vampire prone to disappearing for long stretches of times. Was that something people could even be friendly towards? Though his whole body tensed when Stefan admitted he knew about Dean’s deal with Klaus and how the hell had that happened? God, he needed coffee if he was going to deal with this. He got up, poking the tiny four cup thing into working and trying to think of what to say. “I’m not trying to be on any path with Klaus. He had something I needed and I had to agree to…something to get it. That’s it. Story’s over. As much as I appreciate that borderline concern of yours - I’m not sure it’s warranted. I don’t plan on talking to the dude again. As far as damages go? It’s all good, but I am missing my favorite jacket. So I guess I need one of those, if you really wanna go shopping.” He turned, resting his back against the counter and studied the vampire for a moment. Why was he doing this? Did Dean have something Stefan was after, or was the vampire really that bored? Then again, they’d gotten along before simply because they had no expectations, asked nothing of each other except for the company and Dean needed that right now. Needed to take his mind off his shattered brother and the ruins his life was in right now. “You know what? Alright. Let’s go shopping and we’ll talk if you want. Do I even wanna ask where you’ve been?”

Stefan smiled brightly when Dean quirked his brows, a simple and genuine smile that was short-lived. He wasn't expecting that a smile could wash off the titles he was embedded with over the decades. The vampire wasn’t prone to being the stable being when off the wagon and almost unpredictable that it was best for someone as Dean to have guard.“Speaking from experience, making a deal with Klaus is the last resort you want to take. Unless you have the upper hand which is an unlikely situation with him,” Stefan remarked, eyeing the dull place as Dean stood up from his lofty bed, “Klaus has no clear path which people can avoid, it’s jagged and gets everyone in the clutter. Pollution at its finest. Klaus, like many other villains, goes after the sentimental things we possess and uses them against us. He thinks himself nifty like that. I’m sure whatever you got right from him was of a great importance to you but to the say the story is over is another thing.” On that note, Stefan brought his gaze back to Dean, watching half-hardheartedly as the tall hunter move about, making coffee. By the physical appearance, Dean came across looking like shit and possibly the dealings of a hangover. “My borderline concern is warranted when the person wants it, I suppose. I hope that determination to never speak with Klaus again stays true  however I’ll remain the vampire that sees this as “the cup half empty” on that. Klaus does what he wants after all.” Stefan chuckled a bit, “A new jacket it is then. I’ll just make a guess on the size or purposely pick out the wrong one and deliver it to you. I can see my company is not wanted.""

With those words spoken, Stefan still did not make the moments to leave. It was apparent that no one was going to lively with his presence back in town which he didn’t expect. This time he wasn’t planning to poof off somewhere. Subconsciously for Stefan, Dean was probably the only good company he would receive around here that wasn’t Klaus. The only company who would give him the chance to speak freely and not give a damn. There was no expectations for Dean. If Dean become enraged by Stefan, there would be nothing in Stefan to care and apology. Simple company. But if his presence wasn’t wanted, he could take a hint and leave. Leaning against the counter, Dean studied him, trying to do what most others did with Stefan-solve his mysterious  nature and to self-determine what to do. Stefan had done the same many times with himself, stare mindlessly into a mirror and figure out who was Stefan Salvatore. Just as Stefan prepared himself to leave, the voice of Dean halted him and a grin tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Communication is key,” he remarked, averting his emerald eyes off and smiling with quirk of his brows, “I wasn’t somewhere bad. I certainly wasn’t far up Klaus’ ass if you have that in mind like my brother does. I wanted to get away and I did. I went hunting.

“Well look at you,” Elena responded with a raise of her brow, his words ceasing to affect her darkest of places. She was strong. Even when he infiltrated her barriers with just a look… “I do it to stay fit - keep in shape, even ease my tension; and I must say I’ve saved plenty of lives in this town.” Elena pursed her lips and took his glass from his hand, sipping from it and walking past him to lean against a tree. “You didn’t seem to mind watching me earlier. I noticed you, Stefan. Angelic senses and all.”

His eyebrows crept high on his forehead at her sharp remark back, watching as she took his cup from his hands and sip it as she walked away from him. He lowered his eyes as she walked still, turning his head to catch where she ceased. A smile crept across his face. “Ah, So angels can get chubby. Metabolism gets you still,” he jabbed, laughing a bit as he assembled closer to her leaning figure, “Angelic senses, huh? What does your angelic senses tell you about me watching you train from afar?”

Stefan studied her closer, seeking out something beyond the average appearance. It took him little time to sense it on her, like the scent of burning blood and raw screaming which filled his head, the girl was damned to be damaged with everything life struck her even as an angel life was cruel with punches at her. "I've always thought angels wouldn't feel pain as humans do," Stefan taunted a bit, smirking. "Why bother with hunting and training, Elena? It won't make a difference in the end."

Stefan snickered at the hunter. “Still friendly as ever, I see. It’s semi nice to be back, thanks. I thought it was about  time for me to repay back any damages I made the first time we met and mostly it’s an excuse to talk. I heard about the situation you have with Klaus which is the path I’m regarding about. The path I’m on is higher than yours I would say and a bit fun when I overlook the kinks.” His lips curled into a smile at Dean’s last remark. “I don’t mind playing rough.  But I’m serous, I’m here to talk. Possibly bond like before.”
