As winter blankets much of Canada and North America - Especially places north of the arctic circle - We remember how the arctic tundra flourishes with wildflowers and colourful moss for a short few weeks of the year. Blink and you will miss it. I was fortunate enough to be in the arctic region of Nunavik (northern Quebec) during peak summer. While there was still plenty of snow and ice to be found, the ground was covered in arctic plants and flowers for a few short weeks. arctic autumn closes is quickly and within weeks the Arctic summer is over.
