Do the Petal Shard faeries have flowers or animals that represent them that mortals use? Like a tiger for Sooraj or a spider lily for Yue.

Also also! What are their favourite fruits or meals? Do they need to eat? Or do they do it out of enjoyment?

Yes! They’re not particularly “animals” they’re called sprites in this world. They closely resemble cambrian explosion animals mostly. I haven’t really thought much about that aspect I’ll probably note that down for worldbuilding.

Fruits is completely different here from our world, still pondering on that but! Ig I can give a little run down of fairy diets

Chimeras and Feys have a diet consisting of meats, fruits, plants!!

While Nymphs is mostly liquids either nectar or water

Petal Fairies still need to eat though they’ll need twice as more than the average mortal to keep their body physique intact

Drew this little tapestry cause I wanted to draw how mortals would view Sooraj.

Sooraj would have a capability that he can “blind” those who see him directly to his eyes specifically towards mortals. Her followers and those who live under his kingdom will look down and bow their heads as a form of respect. Compared to the Petal Fairies who aren’t really affected much by this, Sooraj just gives off really intense eye contact. The only ones who have made Sooraj look down/break eye contact is the Sage due to the omnipotence and Yue cuz one she’s blind so Sooraj does not impose her, and two when she took her mask off to reveal her face it flustered Sooraj that she looked away.

Aside from Aves getting an overhaul in design and themes. Orion might also get one as well, I like the black hole halo I gave her but everything else I have mixed feelings of. I think with Orion I have to do a quick study of it’s anatomy (I did that with Toki and was able to work with its design).

Sage might also get a few minor tweaks in design. But I think I’ll do it when I have all of my sources set up and ready cause Sage was pretty difficult to design. I think it would be mostly the colors i will change. And maybe also give the Sage a time period to be based off. Probably the Neoproterozoic period tee hee

Ive been also considering to design the Wilting Flower, but I can’t lie, that feels 10 times more intimidating than anything else HAHA dunno why ig its cuz of her scale that I envision her being. But it can work just gotta get through that hurdle that she’s scary

really quick question i have but if sooraj is indian/south asian coded and yue is chinese does that mean that the other petal shard holders are based on the cultures from the languages their names are based on? i’m pinoy and it makes me happy to see me being represented in others art

yesyes!! The only ones who are not based in any cultures is the Sage and Orion. Atlas is based on medieval Europe time + Quaternary period ik the name is Greek but its more story orientated for him

Alon is obvs based off the Philippines, she's based off of Nautiluses and they were first discovered in the Philippines!! Her aesthetic is also mixed with the Cambrian explosion! As in the fairy world, I take heavy inspo of the Paleozoic time period.

Aves is Spanish but tbh there wasn't really a culture connected to him cause i was struggling with their design A LOT. I am very much going to revisit Aves in the future as I decided that I would probably do pre-hispanic Mexico for them (haven't chosen which tribe). The only thing I got is that they're based off the Jurassic Time period

Toki is Japanese. I wrote in an ask a while ago on what Toki's design is based off the Shinboku trees of Japan. BUT ALSO i forgot to mention in that ask but Toki is also based on two trees; the Ginkgo tree and the Lepidodendron of the Carboniferous period!

Just curious, how did you get the names for your ocs like Sooraj and Yue? Are there any naming conventions you use for your petal shard ocs in general?

I give them names of things of what they represent. Not all follow this however

Sooraj - Sun in Hindi

Yue - Moon in Chinese Mandarin

Toki - Time in Japanese

Alon - Waves/Ocean in Tagalog Filipino

Aves - Bird in Spanish

Atlas - named after the Greek titan

Orion - named mostly after the star constellation over the greek mythos

Sage - just Sage lol

Hey, I know you don't feel comfortable with making FNAF content nowadays, but is there any chance you could archive your old posts about your AU? I really enjoyed it when it was still around

If you're talking about text posts, all of that has been deleted I believe along side my art. I really don't have of interest at the moment to go my drive to find all of the pieces ive done for it

Hmm i'd say more like Esha sees her like a rlly cool sibling and Jiya trying to be the hip and cool older sibling. I don't think they'd annoy each other and mostly Esha would be very excited to have Jiya as company. Tho tbh there would be moments where both don't click
