He didn’t understand the codfish comment. But his face remained passive as ever as he tried to figure it out. It was surely an insult of some sort, but he just didn’t understand where it came from. So for now he ignored it as long as it didn’t come up again.

there’s some irritation as he’s beginning to back out, but another game might suffice. ❝ i do know of parchisi. ❞ knowing of and know how to play are two completely different things though. plenty of board games was ashore the banks of neverland, and penelope collects anything she can find.
but what she’s unaware of are how many editions there could be of one game alone. ❝ don’t know how to play the game, but perhaps teaching me will make up for lost flying time. ❞

“I may be able to do a backflip, but I think that is as far off the ground as I am comfortable going.” It was a slight lie, he liked parkour, but when he was off the ground there, he had a goal for where his feet were going to hit. It was necessarily the height that made him nervous, it was the not coming down part.
❝ don’t tell me i’m teaching a 𝖈𝖔𝖉𝖋𝖎𝖘𝖍 neverland tricks ! ❞ those words nearly hurt , penelope’s tone revealing it as so. nothing was more damaging than to hear the doubt of pixie dust & happy thoughts they discussed ━ that should’ve been totally convincing for anyone. lips press tightly together & penelope blows a raspberry in the wind. ❝ what if we start slow and go higher and higher ? like... just like a game. ❞ twisting any logic of reason into a child’s pastime is what this lostgirl does best.

Lucien wasn’t really the type to end up in clubs, even if he was ever left to his own devices. It wasn’t really his choice though. An acquaintance had him tag along because he’d gone to them for a reason not to go home. That had been a bad idea. He barely handled the general bustle of the Isle, this certainly passed the threshold of too much for the half-undead who spent his formative years isolated with only his father and Creeper. “Hey, how do you get out of here,” the question was really more for himself than anyone near him, because logically he knew how to get out he just couldn’t get his brain to function with the overload of sound and people and remember it and actually attempt to get there.
the caterpillar club doesn’t lived up to its name under kitty’s management. that responsibilities falls onto shuang & the yu-dragon clan , but neither parties commit to the unspoken duties to upkeep the place. enforcing rules wasn’t something the 𝖉𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓 𝖋𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖊 was capable of ━ disorder & disfunction felt much better. traffic was pretty slow so she resorts to eavesdropping on phasing in conversations. steal this , stab them , blackmail. then ━ “ hey, how do you get out of here,” ━ nothing better than someone who talks to themselves. this was the kind of company kitty could enjoy.

okay so the caterpillar is a club on the isle of the lost, based off the caterpillar from alice in wonderland. an establishment meant for adults but is overrun by the isle teens. one of the unofficial yet official “operators” is kitty cheshire, and she has a semi-mutual relationship with yu shuang. he is also leader of the yu-dragon clan, his gang of misfits - whose father’s are shan yu’s comrades. seeing as the isle is closed off from auradon, i would assume the isle has its own currency or handles deals through trade offs. when there’s an issue over territory, shuang yu [whose services come with a price $$] plays as the middle man. he does not do any dealings with those who fall under the spectrum of supernatural. he is human, and it doesn’t make logical sense for someone to dapple in the likes of humans [such as organized crime]. it was not until he met kitty cheshire, that he realized some isle kids with supernatural lineages just craves mischief. shuang could care less about that, he only cares for the isle to get what it deserves: same privileges as auradon

she would have run into him sooner or later, to which one she didn’t know what she preferred. it was dangerous to come into the jungle alone - he was dangerous, and that was right up her alley.
“don’t get your tail in a twist kitty,” her painted black lips pulled into a smirk. “i’m only going for a walk,” leaves and twigs crunched under her boots, the smell of decay strong through her nose. “there’s not much harm i can do to a jungle like this,”
kitty, great. ❝ that’s what all they all say. ❞ and just like what should be the dream oasis for some is a litter box for everyone else. it was so infuriating whenever they stroll through aimlessly. if sanjay had it his way, there wouldn’t be any visitors coming out alive.
❝ when your home is a trashcan you protect what survives the filth. ❞ no surprise when the crunching intense, and he’s tagging along for the stride.
