if your nervous system is disregulated, it’s hard to let love in. it’s hard to love, because you’re busy making sure you’re safe. that’s why it’s important to meditate, sleep 8-9 hours a day, surround yourself with good people, nourish your body with wholesome meals, check in with yourself and what you need to heal from. fill your own cup.
a lot of adulthood is making peace with things
whenever I think I'm not a good person I remember that 14 year old me could have turned evil but she chose peace instead
I’m sat in the sunshine and the sky is blue. Not a cloud in sight. The birds are singing. 2025 feels calmer. I will try to prioritise movement and quiet moments with myself. I am on page 680 of my book. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep. I thought about the resentment and pain that has been building against someone and I thought to let it go. I don’t have any big resolutions this year. I just want to live life on my terms. My heart feels open that’s for sure. I want to appreciate the small joys. I am currently writing a Substack but it feels almost robotic. Something is missing. I will revisit it soon. There was a cute elderly small dog in the park. He was walking so slowly and his owner didn’t seem too fussed about it. I get why cats like to sleep in the sunshine, it’s really relaxing…
It can take years to birth the unique vision you have for yourself and your work/purpose in the world, that which you are refining and stepping into in a large way. Stay diligent and keep tending and before you know it, a high level of clarity emerges and you begin to arrive more into alignment with who you were always meant to be. Instead of trying to rush to get to that next level, slow down and establish really solid grounded roots like a tree before branching up and out into the world. Gracefully challenge yourself to take on your fears, what scares you the most, like a grown woman. See your discomforts as initiations; perceive them as divine portals you have to move through to tap into your love story. What I am learning is that eventually it all comes together in such a beautiful, satisfying way, so take it one step at a time, one day at a time. Don’t worry how long it takes. Before you know it, you are no longer limited by the cultural conditioning of “linear time” and now live in a quantum leap in body and life.—India Ame’ye
I want my perfume to linger on in your room, in your mind and in your heart for an eternity after I leave.
