My parents go on so many cruises now. And I hate it for a lot of reasons. Mostly bc luxury cruises are for (white) people who love to waste resources and pollute the world.

On a personal level, I understand why they want to spend their money how they want etc etc. They financially supported 3 kids through college, so their Dues are paid, they get to spend their money how they want. But I am still their kid. And I am still struggling a lot, arguably, now, more than my siblings on account of me not having a job in my field of study.

I dont want to ask them for more money than I already have, I would like to be independant from them. But if I had a kid who was struggling like I am right now, I would be sending them material support instead of taking lavish vacations. Idk. The older I get the more I feel like just, A Thing my parents did for themselves so they could feel like "full people" instead of like, having kids bc you actually believe in the good of the world and are willing to help your kid get there.

I am still suicidal. I am still depressed. None of the medical treatments worked, so thats that on that. I am an adult now, I have to fix these things myself. And unfortunately "fixing" myself means coming to terms with the fact that most people, i believe, only have children bc they are afraid of dying. I find this to be morally repugnant, but it's such a normalized feeling that people cannot even recognize it in themselves or others.

This has become a huge disconnection point for me. Children being born makes me sad. If you are born into a family with the means to raise you, I wish they were spreading that wealth to communities in need instead of (selfishly?) having kids because Family Tree (how is a family tree functionally different from eugenics btw? [This might be a terminally tumblrina take]). If you are born into a family without the means, then i feel sad bc no child deserves to grow up while lacking basic things.

I think i am Genuinely missing something. My parents try to love me but they never see me for my truth. Maybe people who are genuinely friends with their parents as adults feel a whole other layer of emotion for getting to add a new child to their family. Maybe knowing I can never bear my own children as dampened my personal interest in this way of life. But I find it weird, and it makes me feel like an extraterrestrial. This is one thing that most humans won't agree with me on. And it just makes me wish that people actually cared for the other people that are already here. Causing torture is Fine as long as You don't have to know about it, I guess.
