I'm 22 and against the one shoe rule I've established and followed, I'm wearing flip flops. I used to berate my sister for going out in these, playfully tease my friends who used to come to school in the most informal footwear in the world. But now I'm wearing them to work on a Sunday. Here's another wishlist / reminder of some of the non-makeup things that I want / will purchase.
1. Marshall Major Headphones
You know, I wish I could be a tech reviewer, really. I'm so into innovations in the field and good industrial design. This product embodies everything I want in a piece of technology: great branding, ace quality, and uhm... prettiness.
2. An iPhone 6 case that doesn't muddle the phone design
The stuff from Etsy are amazing.
3. The new Macbook Pro
There's no practical reason. It's so nice and pretty. That's it.
4. Scribble Starter Kit from The Craft Central
But I'm not buying one yet because I'm planning to attend a workshop.
I'm so obsessed with skin now (but haven't gotten over lip products). I would like smooth, dewy, and radiant skin, ideally, with no blemishes. (See: miracles.)
1. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer and/or Laura Mercier Broad Spectrum Tinted Moisturizer
I have extremely dry skin, y'all - which is why I'm obsessed with texture.
My only real problem is matching since Makeup Pro carries these but the Laura Mercier and NARS counters are too far from home. I use The Balm's tinted moisturizer in BalmShelter but I think I'm going to go through it pretty quickly.
2. NARS All-Day Luminous Foundation
I'm using MAC Studio Fix Fluid (I think ha, ha) in NC40 and there may be matching problems here. I'd like to try a different brand, and people have been raving about the new release from NARS (also I am a fangirl. I may as well post the entire NARS catalogue here).
3. NARS Illuminator and/or Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow
Didn't I say I wanted luminous skin already?????
4. NARS The Multiple and / or Charlotte Tilbury Beach Sticks
Alright here's some context: it's summer where I live and I commute to work and plan to bike there soon. The sun is unforgiving and I'd like to transition into effortless makeup this season. Enter: products that are light and versatile. I swear my next purchase is a multiple.
5. Some decent primer (maybe the Smashbox Photo Finish primer)
I've recently discovered the wonders of primer (like a proper n00b) but my current cheap one (ELF) might be breaking me out. Yikes.
6. Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder
Supposedly, this has grey undertones, which i prefer over the bronze/yellow color of other contour products.
7. A decent stippling brush
I'm indifferent about the brand as long as it does the job and doesn't leave bristles on my face. Might get a Real Techniques piece if I encounter them by chance. That's the worst. I'm using an Ecotools Kabuki stippling brush and I am not satisfied. (Also, I prefer this over sponges though!)
AND LASTLY: An update on my Christmas Wishlist
Things couldn't have gotten better.
I did manage to get the Melt lipstick (and now I want Space cake and Shady Lady), some form of makeup-organizer using my own system of envelopes (he he), a LOT of free MAC lipglasses courtesy of Jayne, my mom, and my cousin, in amazing shades, and the actual phone that I wanted. Fantastic. This is why I'm making another list. "Begin with the end in mind." LOL!
Bloom Lip Duo in "Rain and Puddles" Here's what the stuff looks like on the lips. The lightest: lipstick only (applied with a lip brush and lip line erased with concealer) Middle: gloss and lipstick mixed with the doe applicator Darkest: gloss alone on a bare lip (the natural lighting makes it look a touch lighter though) As you can see they look good alone and together which works very well for me because I get bored with the same shades easily. It's also pretty perfect if you want to transition from a day to night look without having to bring different products. (I would make the eyes a but stronger to pair with the gloss though.) I'm obsessed! P.S. I asked my lola to fix my hair and now it's semi even! Hehe.
It hasn't been a year. Everything's fresh Mostly rotten, I mean. And I don't think things will change. Alright, maybe one day. But right now, I think I'll need things to be the same.
