ABOUT ME!

-My name is Erica, you can call me Rica or Erica or really anything lol

-I was born in Boston in 1995, I’ve lived here or around here my entire life.

-I really enjoy hockey, and I follow a minimum of three teams at a time. Most come and go, but the Bruins are always my home team. Always will be, probably.

-I’m married to a man named Bren. We have three dogs- a Doberman, a Staffordshire, and a Shiba mix.

-I’m disabled: I have EDS and a comorbid heart condition. My staffy was a fully trained cardiac alert dog who got all her AKC titles and trick titles. She has since mostly retired.

-I don’t really believe in ‘cringe’ or at least I’m a huge proponent of being yourself regardless of how it’s seen by anyone else.

-I read a lot, mostly trashy kindle books!

-I’m anti-religion to a certain degree, and I will block people over triggering religious posts. No hurt feelings, I just don’t want to see it.

-I try to be friendly and welcoming!!

sonce the sports are happening big rn where i live i made a handy chart of all the phrases i use to communicate with my loved ones during these trying times. i thought others might find it useful too

ive discovered you can have whole conversations with people using just these phrases and none will be any the wiser that you dont even know what sport it is theyre talking about

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.

give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.

My favorite quirk of American English is that since we're constantly exaggerating, sometimes it's more intense to say something slightly less intense. Because like, it means you actually thought about it.

"you look great!" - normal. Anyone could say this. Could be true or could just be lying to be nice. Very normal expected thing to say to someone

"you look good." - gay as hell thing to say to someone.
