 This place is absolutely amazing, and Aloy hasn’t been able to stop gawking at just about everything she passes by. It’s like the ruins back where she’s from, only… not in ruin!  That being said, she’s a little out of her element, and it’d be nice if she could find anything out about this place. Unfortunately, talking to the people around her seems hard, because just as she can’t stop staring at the architecture… she also can’t stop staring at everyone else. It’s not her fault, though, because all of them look so strange!

 Well, almost all of them. Wanting to explore this place top to bottom as soon as she can, Aloy comes to find herself at Savior’s Respite. It’s perhaps the most familiar seeming place yet- it reminds her of the Sacred Land back home, and the beautiful flora provides her with a bit of comfort. It seems she’s not the only one who appreciates it, either, because she soon spots a boy nearby whose garb actually isn’t that strange to her. And, he’s got a sword! It’s wooden, just like her new lance.

 Thinking he might possibly be from the same place as her, she starts into a slight jog to catch up to him.

 “Hey! Nice sword!” She calls out to him, giving a slight smile. “It’s a pretty nice view out here, huh?”

             “  ---huhn?!  ” mid-swing he froze, startled by a voice intruding upon his focus--- at least, what little of it he could cultivate given the circumstances. 

       there was only one place he knew of where he could take his fragmented thoughts and feelings, and be forgiven for their disarray. it felt like an old friend, like somewhere he had been before... like home. he was welcomed into the reprieve, striking his wooden swords uselessly upon a tree for what had felt like hours, each blow punctuated by a grunt as pieces of them chipped away... only to have the solace ripped from his grasp. needless to say, that didn’t sit well with his unsaddled nerves of late.

       ... and the fact that she’d snuck up on him made no difference, not even a little bit.

       bristling, inosuke whirled on the stranger, arms corded with muscle, snarling as though a wild beast bearing its maw at his undue company.

             “  so what?!  ” he brandished the battered excuse for a weapon at her, “  you can’t have ‘em!  ”

       why did everyone have to talk so damn much? he was just minding his own business, unleashing his frustrations on this dumb tree. living alone in the mountains was way easier that this crap! she sounded like tanjiro, and he was an annoying guy too! always saying things that never made sense, and caring so much... he didn’t get it!

             “  who the hell are you anyway?! why are you saying weird stuff?!  ” who just talks to someone because they want to? that’s stupid--- he doesn’t know what to do with that!

       a silence befell the frosted plain that may have once been a city street in the wake of the recent storm. freshly fallen snow blanketed the roads and buildings, clouding the windows and swallowing up doorways. few but the ghosts wandered this emptiness---

            “  HYAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA---!  ” before a young man garbed in little else but ragged furs popped out of the snow like a daisy and unleashed a cackle upon the quiet, arms thrust into the air as if in some kind of triumph.

Throughout November the snow had come and gone, but over the evening of November 30th the city was pelted by a terribly snowstorm that buried the land beneath almost five feet of snow. Strangely enough, as the clock turned midnight and December was ushered in, a number of festive events emerged across the city.

As a note: these activities are separate from the event that will launch on December 6th and can still be accessed during the event.
