Wabi Sabi

Wabi Sabi ist ein ästhetisches Konzept, das sehr eng mit Japan und dem Zen Buddhismus verbunden ist. Dabei ist es jedoch keine "Kunstrichtung", sondern vielmehr eine Art und Weise, Dinge wahrzunehmen: die hochentwickelte Kultur des Unperfekten, Unbeständigen und Unvollständigen, die sich in einer großen Freiheit an Formen, sublimen Farben und in formaler Einfachheit ausdrückt. Wabi Sabi lädt den Betrachter dazu ein, die kleinen Dinge des alltäglichen Lebens neu zu entdecken und so die Schönheit des Unauffälligen und leicht zu Übersehenden in der Natur wahrzunehmen.
