Have read lots of fanfiction and enjoy reading it however have started writing and posting a few of my own. So far just Sidemen and Riverdale. Masterlist
I never thought that I would fall in love with the man that I was only supposed to be having sex with. But here I am lying in his bed after having sex with him for the second time today. I canât help but think about the fact that I want more than just sex with this man. I want a relationship with him.
I look at him as he cleans up after our little late night rendezvous and I canât help but start imagining a life with him, my future with him. As he finishes up and gives me a smirk, I smile and start to prepare myself with enough courage to tell him my true feelings.
He lays down beside me and covers us both up with the duvet as he slowly places his arm around my shoulders before he starts bragging. âWell thatâs the best weâve ever had if I do say so myself.â
We both laugh at the size of his ego (granted he werenât wrong) but I soon enough take a deep breath and start to pour my heart out, âJJ look weâve been doing this friends with benefits arrangement for about a year now and we were friends for 2 years before that. In that time what I didnât plan for was to fall in love with you. Which is why Iâm asking if thereâs even the smallest part of you that could possibly want something more than this with me?âÂ
After 5 minutes of there being no response I realised that the silence was my answer. I got out of the bed and started getting changed in a hurry, as I decided to release my anger at the same time.
âWell Iâll take the silence as my answer. The fact you havenât answered yet means that you donât have any part that feels that way. Iâm sorry JJ but what ever this arrangement between us is, itâs over. I thought Iâd be able to work through it if you didnât want more but I love you too much to be able to carry on this friendship. Itâll be too hard to have you in my life, so donât call or text. Just donât try and contact me at all. Goodbye JJ.âÂ
I go to leave but he grabs my wrist, â Wait Y/N. Itâs not that I donât love you I do, I just canât love you the same way you love me. Iâm sorry.â He admits with a frown on his face.
âSo am I JJ. So am I.â And with that I walk put of his apartment and out of his life for good.
JJâs P.O.V.
2 weeks Later
Itâs been two weeks and Iâve been trying to get in contact with her. I even went to her apartment but she wasnât there. I know Y/N said not to but once I realised how I really felt I had to find her and tell her. Being without her made me realise that I wanted her for more than just sex. Iâd fallen in love with her, her laugh, her smile, her company, just her.
âHey Jide. Are you coming mate? Weâve got a party to get to.â Simon yells at me as he yells through my bedroom door whilst knocking on it.
We were throwing a surprise birthday for Vik today so we had invited all his friends and family along with anyone else he might of known. I just hope that Y/N will be there, Iâm assuming she would be due tot he fact she is best friends with Talia and Freya.Â
I need to set the record straight at this party and in my search for her, I was shocked at the sight my eyes caught.
Y/Nâs P.O.V.
2 hours before the party.Â
âFrey, I canât go. I donât want to see him. Because I know if I do Iâll never be able to move on.â
âTalia, just tell her already, Please she needs to know.â Freya pleads to Talia whilst I give them both a raised eyebrow of concern.
âOkay, look. Simon told me not to say anything but Iâm going to. Apparently JJ has been trying to find you because heâs realised just how he feels about you. Simon said heâs been going mad without you.â
âOh...Okay.â I sit down not quite sure what do to with this information. âYou know it doesnât matter what happened between us, I still love him and want to be with him. But I donât want it to be easy for him, I want him to feel a little of the pain I felt when he couldnât tell me two weeks ago.â
Iâm brought out of my thoughts when my roommate Callux walks in. I was staying in his spare room the last few weeks knowing that JJ would never find me here.Â
âCallux, my friend how would you feel about helping me make a certain Mr. Olatunji jealous?â I ask him with a slight smirk on my face.
âAs long as you promise to protect me from him when he gets mad.â I nod at him to show him I would stop JJ before it gets that far.
But now a couple hours later JJ is stood between me and Callux shouting at him for trying to flirt with me. So I intervene, âJJ you donât have the right to shout at him after the way you spoke to me two weeks ago. But that being said he was only pretending to flirt with me to make you jealous. I was hoping it would cause you to man up and fight for me unless you truly donât feel the same way.â
He was shocked but tilted my chin up after I had looked to the floor after my outburst just then. He then spoke, â Well played. In all honesty I realised as soon as you walked out of my apartment door what you truly meant to me and what it was that I lost. Iâm sorry for letting you think I didnât love you, I was just scared to let you in or that I couldnât love you the same way. But now I realise that I truly do love you.
All I could do in response was grab his face and pull him in for a kiss. We were so lost in the kiss and the passion that we couldnât even here the celebration of our friends behind us. Who knew that I would finally get my something more.
You couldnât believe that this is how it had turned out. You knew his career was taking off and that yours was becoming more demanding but you thought that you both could work it out. However, you never imagined it would lead to this , especially when you realise just how long youâd been in each others lives. Youâd known each other since you were both 6 and who wouldâve thought that 20 years later it would lead here, to this moment.
âJJ, Please just promise me that when the time comes, when our careers are more settled and stable that weâll find our way back to each other?â You pleaded to your boyfriend of 11 years whilst you place your foreheads together.
He grabs both of your hands without moving from his position against your forehead. âY/N I promise you that when our careers stop demanding both of our full attentions that Iâll find you and burst through the doors to tell you that itâs our time. But you and I both know that right now we need to focus on our careers even though it will mean we have to wait a while to be together.â He pauses to stare lovingly into your eyes. âJust know that youâll forever be in my heart and that Iâll love you for the rest of my days.â
You couldnât help but kiss him passionately whilst both of you burst into tears. It pained you to hear him say those words but deep down you knew it was true and that this was the best for both of your careers. You pulled away quickly so as not to prolong the goodbye.
âI love you too Jay but if I donât leave know I donât think Iâll ever be able to.â You grab your suitcase of stuff that usually belongs in his room and walk out of his bedroom. As you leave you turn to the living room to see the guys all looking at you full of sympathy. Youâd forgotten that they were coming to shoot a video as you realise that theyâve probably just overheard youâre entire goodbye with JJ.
âHey guys. Please just look after him, he may act tough and like this wonât affect him but deep down heâs sensitive. Si...â You pause looking at the boy that had been friends with you and JJ longer than youâd be together. He stands up and grabs you in a comforting hug but you slowly push away so as not to make this any harder. âSi, please just make sure he looks after himself and that this doesnât break him or his career. Look after him and yourselves, bye guys.â
You quickly turn to leave their apartment. You keep yourself from breaking down on your way home to your apartment but once youâve shut your apartment door, you slowly break and slide down your door as you place your crying eyes in your hands. You knew this heartbreak would last for as long as he was not in your life, and until he came back to you that you would never be whole.
JJâs P.O.V.
I heard whisperings behind my bedroom door which was soon followed by a soft knock. I didnât pay it any mind though as I could only focus on the picture frame in my hand. We were both 16 when that photo was taken, we were at a beach party and the sunset made her look so beautiful that I pulled myself together to kiss her for the first time. Luckily Simon captured the moment and itâs still one of my most favourite photos of the two of us.
âJide, come on mate. Youâll see her again, you always said that she was your soulmate, and thatâs why you will find her again some day.â Simon says with positivity I couldnât even begin to muster. I was so caught up in my heartbreak I hadnât realised that he had come in and sat beside me. I remembered the reason all this happened, so I pulled myself together and continued, no matter how much it may hurt.
âYep. Right, weâve got a video to shoot. Letâs go.â I say as I place the picture frame back on my bedside table where it will forever live before walking out. I walk out to looks of sadness and sympathy from the guys but I donât even acknowledge those looks and walk past them to start shooting the video.
3 months Later.
I didnât realise how much I needed her. She kept me sane, kept me grounded in my world full of crazy and chaos. Even the boys have tried helping me keep it together theyâve tried having interventions for me when I started drinking a bit more heavily than I used to. I turned to drinking to help deal with my stress and heartbreak, luckily Iâve slowed it down a bit recently but I canât completely, not without her here.
We were now on the flight home from the boxing match and even though Iâd won won I didnât feel like celebrating. I sat on the plane writing lyrics for my next album when Josh sat opposite me and raised an eyebrow.
âJJ whatâs up? Why arenât you celebrating?â He asks with pure concern written all over his face.
âHow can I when the one person I want to celebrate with is missing?âÂ
âLook, you know the guys and I support you with everything you want to do. But weâve supported your stupidity for the last 3 months but now enough is enough. So in all blatant honesty, youâre being an idiot.â I look at him shocked but before I speak Tobi speaks up.
âJosh is right. Youâre miserable, and we all know why.â I go to object but this time Vik steps in. âDonât even say youâre not because you are. Tobi's right though you know why. So itâs time you stop feeling sorry for yourself and fix this mess youâve made.â
âYou need to fight for her JJ. Before it gets to a point where sheâs moved on.â Ethan says just before Simon joins the conversation. âLook itâs up to you Jide, but Iâve known you both for a long time. Together and apart, and I know that youâre both happier together. Weâll let you think, câmon guys.â They all walk away but Harry stops and claps me on my shoulder as a sign of support.
As they leave me to my thoughts I begin reading over my lyrics. Itâs then that I realise this song that Iâve written is about and for one person. I canât live without her, I donât want my career if I means sheâs not with me. God Iâve made a terrible mistake.
Luckily we land only 10 minutes later, due to my earlier realisation I rush off the plane and into a taxi. I give the driver the address of where I need to go, where Iâm meant to be.
I keep trying to think of what I can say but I donât know what is going to help me fix this. Iâve just got to hope that she missed me as much as I missed and needed her.
I rush into the hospital in which she works and the receptionist points me in the direction of where Y/N is. In my rush I didnât notice all the pointing, staring and cameras flashing around me.
I reach the door I was directed to and I can hear her laughter, but itâs not her real deep laugh. Could she be as broken as I have been? I canât stall any longer, i take a deep breath and open the door.
Y/Nâs P.O.V.
I pause as I hear the door open but when I turn and see who it is I freeze in shock at the fact itâs him stood there.
âJJ what..â But before I can continue, I feel his lips already on mine. Weâre locked in a passionate kiss. A kiss that Iâve missed so much.
He pulls away and starts talking. âY/N Iâm an idiot. The past three months my career has taken off but in all the chaos Iâve come to realise that without you by my side to share it with and to keep me grounded that none of it means anything to me. Y/N I love you and if youâll let me, I want to be your boyfriend again. You always stuck by me and saw through the fame and fortune. Itâs our time, always and forever, regardless of careers or any arguments, Itâll always be our timeâ
I canât help by cry at his words and Iâm so happy that he has just confessed all his feelings that I kiss him.
âJay, I love you too. Always have, always will. but what about the reason this all happened in the first place?â
âY/N, I still what my career and I know you wnat yours but I promise no matter what youâll be apart of it all. Weâll figure it out and Iâll always make time for us, like I said itâll always be our time and if it becomes that itâs not working Iâll slow down my career.â
I nod not being able to verbalise my thoughts. But he understood that I was all in for all the craziness that his lifestyle brings. Like he said Itâll be our time that makes all of it worth it as without each other none of it means anything.
Of course you knew about the Sidemen, you had followed them on YouTube since the beginning but nobody knew the real reason behind why you followed the Sidemen.
You knew the Sidemen filmed a lot around the Westminster region of London but you were hoping you wouldnât run into them. You were afraid of seeing HIM again.
You had known Tobi since you were 3 years old and, not that you had admitted this to anybody but him, you had been in love with him since you were 10. Now you knew this sounded ridiculous but it was true.Â
Growing up together meant you knew him better than anybody. And when he met Josh in year 7, you were glad he had another friend and once you met Josh he was instantly the brother you never had. It was the three of you against everything.Â
When you and Tobi became official at 13, you kept it a secret from Josh at first scared about what he would think, or even how it would affect your guysâ friendship.
What you didnât expect though was for Josh to bust you both one day in the cafeteria. You thought you had a minute just to sneak a kiss but just as you did Josh walked through the door. However, josh didnât care, he was ecstatic that his two best friends were together and was the biggest advocator for your relationship.
You were together all the way through high school and even in sixth form and university but you both mutually agreed to end it when Tobi moved to London to start his YouTube career with the Sidemen. Obviously, you didnât want to break up but you did it for him, you walked away from, who you believe to be your soulmate for him and his career.
Presently, you were walking along Westminster bridge hoping to get home soon. About 5 years after your breakup you moved to London yourself to become a nurse in the city and you couldnât be happier but you always felt as if something, or someone, was missing.
You kept your head down and tried to rush home before the rain came but you were knocked to the floor by some guy who was also hurrying. He helped you up and when he went to hand you your phone, which he picked up, you couldnât believe who it was.
âJosh!â You exclaimed.
âY/N, oh my gosh. How are you?â He says whilst grabbing you into a bone-crushing hug.
âJo..sh. Can..t breathe.â He releases you and apologises. âThank you and Iâm doing alright, howâs it going with you and the Sidemen?âÂ
âIâm alright and yeah itâs good, I didnât expect you to be such a big fan.â He admits laughing.
âYeah well, someone has to know all the deep dark secrets of Zerkaaâs youth and compare it to his videos today.â You both laugh at the type of secrets you mean.
âJosh... how is He?â You ask sadly.
âY/N Heâs good and happy, but I know heâs not completely happy and heâs even told me that. Heâs also told me why. Itâs you. It always has been. Heâs always regretted leaving you behind for his career but at the same time if you hadnât of done it, he wouldnât be where he is now. Look Iâm meeting up with the lads now, do you want to come and meet them and see Tobi again?â Josh offers.
You hesitate and think it over but before you can answer, Your pulled in the direction Josh was originally going. You give up trying to resist and just follow closely behind Josh, both of you chatting as you make your way to somewhere you have tried to avoid for so long.
As you entered a random looking apartment you could hear laughter and joy coming from another room.Â
âHey Guys!â Josh shouts, âIâve brought someone along with me who wanted to meet you all.â
You here HIS voice shout back, âJosh it better not be a fan again.â Again you here a bunch of laughter in reaction to Tobiâs joke. You decide to reply upon entering the living area.
âOnly the original.â You smile hesitantly, as you enter the room. The boys all stare at you with curiosity but Tobi just stared at you in shock.Â
âHey guys, Iâm Y/N.â You then look at Tobi and smile. âHey Tobes.â
The other guys all turn their heads to Tobi, confused at what was happening right in front of them. He stands up abruptly and exits the living room and entering a room to the side. Josh goes to follow him but you grab his arm.
âLet me. Iâve always known how to calm him down, just explain everything to that lot.â You signal to the Sidemen before leaving in search of Tobi.
You knock on the door, you saw him enter through, before entering yourself. You see him sat on the bed, deep in thought. You sit beside him and start talking.
âYou know I follow everything you do. Iâve been there since day one and I couldnât be prouder of the man Iâve seen you become. Thereâs been so many times I wanted to reach out but I thought you wouldnât want to hear from me. Josh has also said some things, not that I believe them, but I need to know if you feel the same as me?â You ramble whilst tears flow out of your eyes.
âY/N I know you follow everything I do. I see you comment and like everything and I wanted to reach out to, but I was scared of what you would think of me know. And if Josh has mentioned that Iâve not been able to move on from you because...well... I still love you, then itâs true.â
As he finishes admitting his continuous love for you, you grab his face and pull him in for a kiss. Youâre interrupted by hearing noise coming from outside the door, so you pull away from Tobi and smirk at him.
You quietly get to the door and pull it open causing Simon and Vik to fall through the door whilst the others are just stood there, looking like deer's caught in headlights.Â
You smile then turn to Tobi, âThese are your friends you chose to replace me.â You said jokingly, causing everybody to laugh.
âBoys can you give us a minute, Iâll introduce you all but we need to finish talking.â Tobi asks the boys to which they oblige and leave.
You turn back to Tobi to see him stood up and smiling at you.
âY/N Iâm sorry about what happened in our past and I know this is going to sound really peculiar, but I canât just not have you in my life. So, please can we pick up where we left off?â He is nervous but you nod causing him to burst out into a smile.
âSo boyfriend shall we go introduce me to your friends? I have a few embarrassing stories Iâd like to tell.â You smirk and he shakes his head.
You didnât quite think that this was how your day was going to go, but you also couldnât imagine being any happier. You had reconnected with your two best friends, one of which being your true love; as well as connecting with a bunch of new friends who you were grateful to for looking out for your man while you couldnât
I wake up trying to make enough noise to wake up Archiekins in the process. He needed to get up, however it didn't work so I set his alarm, otherwise he'll be late for meeting up with Jughead and the rest of the gang. I get dressed and kiss him on the forehead gently before grabbing my purse and coat as I leave.
"Smither's can I get a ride to Betty's and Jug's please?" He nods and drives me to FP's house as that is where Betty's more or less moved into now. Regardless of that information though, I definitely know that they're there from how they exited the Wyrm last night, giggling like naughty school kids about to have a night of fun. Which reminds me I need to have a serious chat with B about that.
I knock on the door and hear a load of shuffling around until the door opens and I see Jug stood there, his hair all over the place. There was no mistaking what had happened last night. As I walk in and give Jug a hug, he whispers, "Thank you for today, I seriously owe you one."Â
I reply, "Anything for B and you don't owe me one as long as what you plan to do doesn't involve her getting hurt in anyway. Plus we haven't had any quality B and V time since graduation."
We stand there until B sees that it was me at the door, she's surprised to say the least but when I announce that I was treating her to a girl's day out, she immediately darts upstairs to get changed. Which surprisingly didn't take her very long at all.
Betty says goodbye to Jughead as we make our way to the car before Smithers drives away. "You know B, we were all wondering what happened last night. I mean you and Jughead seemed to leave in a bit of a hurry. And you were giggling like children, I think Iâve only ever seen you giggle once." She blushed at the insinuation of them having sex but I know (well we all know) that it's what had happened. She turned to say something to me but instead we both just ended up laughing.
"V, it was amazing. He went my pace, was so gentle and loving. He kept making sure I was okay." B blushed with a sparkle in her eye. But her expression then changed to one of guilt, one of sadness. "I just wish it could've been my first time. I know it's my first time willingly but Juggie's deserves better. He deserves more than me. I'm just my dad's sloppy seconds. My dad and his friends made me worthless." She said crying.
"B look, Jug loves YOU. He doesn't care what's happened in the past. He doesn't judge you based on the actions of those hideous figures. He only cares that you love and trust him enough to willingly do it with him. Especially after everything that's happened, he didn't expect you to ever want to do it. So no better he doesn't deserve better because you are all that matters to him."
She looks at me and whisper a thank you into my ear just as she hugs me. We arrive at Greendale mall, as I know the rest of them are at the one in Riverdale.
"Right B, it's your birthday next week so whatever you want is on me today. Ok. So no arguments please.
"V I can't let you do that. Besides I need to get Jug a special gift for his birthday while we're not together." I give her a look to shit up to which she replies, "Fine, you can treat me as long as one, you let me Jug's present myself. And two, you let me do the same for you on your birthday." I nod but we both know that I won't let that happen.
3 hours later.
We're sat in a both at Pop's surrounded by shopping bags laughing at something that happened whilst we were out. B and I needed this time together. I needed to get away from my over-controlling father, who keeps trying to get me to leave the Serpents, and B needed to escape her past and enjoy life now that her secret is out.
The bell on the door rings, Betty and me look up to see Jug and the gang there looking frantically for someone, presumably us. Me and Betty share a raised eyebrow as to why they're here but she just shrugs.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I shout over at them. Noticing us, they rush over looking at us with sadness apparent in their eyes. Even more so when they make eye contact with Betty. That's when I realise that someone's missing and I can see out of the corner of my eye that Betty has too.
"Where's my brother?" Betty demands whilst her eyes fill with tears. No-one replies, they all look down ignoring her tear-filled glares. "Jughead Jones tell me where he is. Now."
"Betts he's in hospital. He was stabbed." Jug says with guilt evident in his voice. Whilst he tells us what happens, you can see the light and joy that was in Betty's face just moments ago leave. It being replaced by revenge, revenge on whoever caused her brother, her only blood-related sibling harm.
IMPORTANT: TRIGGER WARNING - mentions of sexual assault and attempted rape, as well as mentions of nightmares due to trauma (although this isnât overly triggering it may be to some).
You were trying to get some rest in the little alley you had found, however you could not find a comfortable place or way to sleep, You were thankful that you packed a jumper in your small bag when you ran, as you were regretting staying out in the cold.
You tried and tried to rest for at least another hour but it still didnât work. You decided to pack up and carry on walking; you hoped to find somewhere comfier to rest or at least a place you could sneak into, to sleep in for a night. After packing up you went to exit the alley but before you knew what was happening you pinned against a wall.
You went to fight back but a gun was pressed against your head. You knew if you wanted to, you could get out of this but your fear of death overtook your emotions
âWhatâs such a cute lass like you doing out here in dark alleys? You never know what creeps might be out here.â He grins whilst slowly sliding his free hand up your leg.
âI was just leaving.â You say trying to walk away but he grabs you and pushes you back against the wall. It was hard enough that it made you hit your head against the wall.
âNo youâre not.â He smirks but leans closer and starts kissing you. You try and push away but your attempts were in vain. You could also feel your head hurting more from the blood you felt slowly creeping down to your neck.Â
In order to give yourself some time to escape you bit his lip as hard as you could. However much it hurt him it didnât make him release you.
âWell that wasnât very kind now.â He frowns in happiness that you tried that. âI think you need to be taught how to treat others with respect.â He throws you to the ground and straddles you. He hits you in the face before trying to pull your jeans down.
Due to the blood loss and utter shock and fear of the situation, all you could manage to do was scream, and hope someone could hear you. You managed to get a few screams out before the stranger muffled your screams with a cloth he pulled from his pocket.
He hit you once again and you couldnât help but feel like this was going to be it for you. In some ways it was fitting that you escaped your hell, in which you thought would kill you, just to have your life ended whilst you were free.
You close your eyes and wait for him to finish beating you, but you soon felt him being pulled from you.
âMiss, are you okay? Hello, miss?â You heard a manâs voice trying to talk to you as softly as possible. You slowly open your eyes to see a man staring back at you in concern.
âIâm Josh, those two over there are Simon and Harry. And JJ is taking care of the man who was attacking you. We heard you screaming and were worried we wouldnât make it in time. Do you mind if Harry checks you over, heâs a doctor so he knows what heâs doing.â He smile in a comforting way as he helps you stand up.
You smiled and went to thank them but before you could you felt yourself black out and falling at the same time.
Joshâs P.O.V.
The girl was about to say something but she collapsed before she could. I was lucky I managed to catch her before she hit the ground.
âHarry, help me get her in the car and sit with her. Simon can you wait for JJ and then meet us back at the apartment. Weâll take her there and hope he lets her stay a while to rest up and heal.âÂ
Me and Harry drive back to the apartment. I carry her into the elevator while Harry is applying pressure tot he wound on her head. I was worried what HE might think about her being here but hopefully heâll listen to reason.
Making our way in I sneak into a spare bedroom to lay her down and leave Harry to check her over so I can go and talk to him about the situation. I find him sitting in the alcohol bar in the living room, drinking whiskey. He only drinks that if something is troubling him.
âWhatâs got you drinking whiskey at 1am in the morning?â I go around the bar and stand opposite him whilst waiting for him to tell me.
âWow, a girl managed to avoid your charms how did that happen?â I reply sarcastically. âEthan, it was bound to happen sooner than later.â
âI know it was just, there was something about her that made me want to make sure she was okay and protect her.â This shocked me as Ethan had never had this type of instant feeling about anyone let alone some strange girl.
âWow, she must really have been special or different for you to feel like that.â He nods. âAnyways, I might have brought someone back to the apartment that isnât one of the boys or Talia or Frey.â I tell him.
âJosh, you know how I feel about that.â
âYeah, thatâs why I wouldnât have done this unless I needed to.â
âFine, but donât expect to make this a regular thing.â Ethan says. Just as he finishes his whiskey the other guys enter following behind Harry. They all sit the other side of the bar whilst I start pouring them some drinks.
âHow is she doing Harry?â I ask.
âShe should be okay but she might wake up with either short term memory loss or slight concussion, but nothing too serious.â Harry explains before taking a vodka shot. Whenever he has to help a female he gets a bit emotional and tends to drink for a few straight hours.
Weâre all sat discussing tomorrowâs plans, and how to help the girl in the bedroom when weâre interrupted by screams. Being the people we are all 7 of us rush to the bedroom, me leading knowing which room I put her in.
We enter to see her sat upright with tears coming out of her eyes. She looks at us and moves further back into the bed. But she notices something at the back at the room causing her eyes to widen. We turn to see that Ethan and her were staring at each other like they know each other.
âEthan, whatâs going on?â Harry started moving forward to tend to the wound she had re-opened on the back of her head but she grabs the lamp next to the bed side table and throws it at the wall next to Harry, causing him to step back.
I go to talk to her but Ethan moves and sits on the bed, she doesnât seem to flinch or even care he was there. But what happened next shocked us. She jumped onto him and started crying into his shoulder whilst he held her and stroked her head.
He looked at us and made us leave the room.
âDid he just...?â Vik goes to ask but I shake my head to stop him. I then ushered them all into the bar, where we waited for Ethan to come back out and tell us everything.
Y/Nâs P.O.V.
Iâm now sat in Ethanâs lap crying into his shoulder whilst heâs comforting me. I donât know why I did that, but for some reason I felt comfortable with him in order to just cry.
âY/N whatâs going on? I didnât expect to find you here let alone upset and terrified.â Ethan asks, worry evident on his face.
âIâm sorry I didnât mean to come and cause trouble for you or your friends. Itâs just I...â I hesitated before sighing and deciding to tell him everything.
After I explained my night and how I ended up here he just hugged me again.
âIâm sorry I shouldâve insisted you stay here in a room. I know what men are like in the city and shouldâve tried harder to get you to stay.â He admits looking down guiltily. I take me hand and lay it on his cheek softly and lift his face to look at me.
âEthan, itâs not your fault okay. If youâd have insisted it wouldâve pushed me into a more dangerous situation then the one I landed in. Anyways Iâm fine thanks to your friends out there. Speaking of can you introduce me I kind of want to thank them.â I smile at him as he leans into my touch.
âOf course.â He replies, but before we get him I see him staring at me and I canât help but to do the same. He leans in and before I knew it we were both engaged in a passionate kiss.
He pulls away and places his forehead against mine. âWell...I didnât expect that to feel so...â
âAmazing?â You question to finish his sentence, to which he laughs and nods.
âCome on, let me introduce you to the guys.â He grabs my hand and pulls me up before leading me into what I would call an interesting meeting.
A/N: This is a short chapter but itâs just a bit of a filler chapter.
Jug's P.O.V
The next morning
Last night was amazing, Betty was ready for it last night. After all she's been through she was ready to have sex with me. Of course we went at her pace and it was bliss. Just the fact she loved me enough to allow me to be so intimate, after having her virginity taken from her at a young age, means the world to me.
Betty's birthday is next week so I need to go shopping today for her present but I need help from the gang so I've enlisted the help of Veronica. Hopefully she'll distract Betty long enough while the rest of us do some shopping today.
I get dressed and enter the kitchen to see Betts cooking eggs and bacon for breakfast. I hug her from behind and kiss her cheek. "Smells delicious." I whisper into her neck as she smiles at me. We then get interrupted by a knock at the door.
I answer it to see Veronica stood their smiling eagerly. As she enters I whisper "thank you for today, I owe you one". She replies with "anything for B and you don't owe me one as long as what you plan to do doesn't involve you hurting her. Plus we haven't had any quality B and V time since graduation."
Betty then enters saying, "Jug who's at the...V? What are you doing here?" She walks over to give Veronica a hug as she replies, "well, I thought we could have a girl's day. We need some B and V time, we haven't spent as much time together since you've been so busy with this one." She says signalling to me.
"I don't hear Betty complaining." I joke. We all laugh as Betty makes her way upstairs to get ready. She comes down much quicker than what I thought it would take her. Betty kisses me goodbye as she and Veronica make their way out the door, into the limo.
I smirk knowing the real reason Veronica was here, but I'm soon pulled out of my thoughts by the smell of burning bacon and eggs. I rush to clean up the mess of a breakfast that Betty left behind before texting the rest of the group to meet at Riverdale mall in 20 minutes.
30 minutes later.
We're waiting on Archie; god knows that boy will be late to his own funeral. He eventually turned up looking a little bedraggled and weary. "Where you been Arch?"
"Sorry Jug. I had no Veronica to wake me up on time today so I overslept and woke up 5 minutes ago to rush here."
I shake my head in amusement at him and tell him not to worry. We start shopping and I picture what I want to get Betty but I need advice and support of my friends to make sure it's perfect. While browsing shops the others decided to go off and get their own presents for Betty. By the time they were finished an hour later I still couldn't find the perfect gift.
It's been 2 hours now; I'm getting frustrated, hungry and am just about ready to give up. "Jughead Jones don't you give up on my sister. Imagine how devastated and humiliated she'll be if she doesn't get a gift from you, her boyfriend." Fangs' words of encouragement pushed me to continue shopping.
Half an hour later, I'm staring through the shop window at the perfect gift for Betty. I call the gang over and we head inside, they smile which I know means they approve. I instantly buy it and head over to the food court full of achievement but if I don't have my usual 4 burgers and 2 sides of fries soon I will most likely pass out or flip out.
You were running, running for survival. You knew if you stopped that THEY would catch up and that was something you just couldnât let happen. You couldnât risk going back to THEM, and their way of living. You were unsure just how far behind they were but you kept facing forward and kept going.
You were running what felt like days but was only a few mere hours. You started walking when you reached a quiet looking town. You strolled down the street with just the bag of clothes and valuables on your back. When you thought about it you realised just how sad it looked that all your belongings could fit into such a small bag.
Luckily none of them paid any attention to you as you made your way to the counter. A middle-aged looking woman made her way to you with a bright smile on her face. You felt comfortable in her presence, for the first time a woman made you feel welcomed.
âHi Sweetie, what can I get for you?â She asks.
You place your five pound note onto the counter as you ask, âIs there anything I can get with this? Unfortunately itâs all I have on me, and I was hoping I could get just a drink or something.â
âWell, youâre in luck, I can get you a chicken salad sub and a small coke.â The woman replies.
âThat sounds amazing, thank you.âÂ
As sheâs preparing everything she starts up a conversation, you also notice that she eyed your bag, probably trying to figure out what sort of situation you were in.
âMy nameâs Ruth by the way. I hope you donât mind my asking but you seem to have only a small bag on you and you look a little lost. Is everything okay?â
You smile, appreciating how forward she is but also thinking about how to answer. You felt as if you could be somewhat truthful with this woman, âYeah, well I donât have much stuff to call my own and when I decided to leave home I didnât think much about where I was going. Also Iâm Y/N, by the way.â
âCan I ask why you left your home?â Ruth asks.
âYou can but Iâm not quite sure whether Iâm ready to talk about it yet. Letâs just say it wasnât the easiest of places to live. Unfortunately though Iâve now made myself a homeless 22 -year-old girl.â
âOh Sweetie. Everything will be okay. You know my son owns a hotel not to far from here, I can get you a room for a couple of nights if you want.â Ruth offers as she hands you a sandwich and a drink.
âOh no I couldnât afford that and I wouldnât want to put you into an awkward position with your son.â You take a bite of the sandwich as she considers your words.
âYou wouldnât be causing any problems between me and my mother. Iâve been watching and listening to you since you came in and I wouldnât mind letting you stay in my hotel for a few nights, free of charge.â You jump at the voice from behind you, You turn around to come face to face with the man from the corner.
You were shocked that you hadnât noticed how sexy he looked when you first spotted him, but you supposed it was down to the fact he was hiding in the shadows just about. You pull yourself out of your trance and answer him.
âLook, whatever your name is..â
âItâs Ethanâ, he interrupts.
âLook, Ethan. Itâs a very kind offer but Iâm afraid even if I wanted to I couldnât. Iâd be putting you and your mother in danger and I canât have that on my conscious. Thank you both for your kindness and hospitality but I just canât except anymore of your help.â You say.
You start to finish your sandwich, as he sits next to you whilst staring at you.Â
âYou know itâs considered rude to stare at someone, especially whilst theyâre eating.â You comment causing him to smirk.
âYou know youâre the first girl to turn down any offer Iâve given to them. Albeit theirs was a little more...more. But still, you intrigue me.â He looks at you as if heâs trying to figure you out.
You just finish your meal and stand up, grabbing your bag in the process. You turn back to Ruth.
An hour later you were still walking for somewhere just to hide for the night, You eventually find an alley with a little hidden cubby in it and choose to stay there for the night.
Although what you didnât know was that you would later come to regret this choice.Â
Summary: Youâre sat minding your own business at the park when a random stranger comes over to meet you. He awkwardly talks to you but you find it cute and endearing, What becomes of this meeting.
You had decided that instead of being stuck indoors that you would go to the park for a little while. However, when you got there it was so busy you searched for ages trying to find a quiet spot.Â
After a while of searching you found a shaded quiet area under a big oak tree. You loved nature and always felt so at peace there, it was where you were at your happiest. When you had sat down and took a breath you just hoped that the day brought you more of the joy and happiness you were feeling in that moment.
As the hours went on you were so engrossed in the book you had brought with you that you didnât even notice the loud noises of a group far to the side of you. They were getting progressively louder but you continued ignoring them, hoping that they would go away soon enough.
But it was just your luck they didnât, in fact you could hear the complaints of one of them as the others kept egging them on to do something. What it was you werenât sure on. Little did you know that it involved you.
A minute or so had passed before you heard someone stood beside you coughing to get your attention. You look up from your book at the person, expecting to see some obnoxious looking guy there but the person you saw took your breath away.Â
What you saw was a young blue-eyed, blonde-haired man who was standing awkwardly. You were unsure what his purpose was until he started to speak.
âUmmm...Hi..Iâm Harry. Look Iâm just going to be honest here. My friends and I are part of this YouTube group, and we were doing a video where the group made one of us do awkward things in public. They know how awkward I get when talking to girls so they made me come over here and talk to you. However Iâm more nervous over how pretty you are and that youâre just going to send me away.â He says in a rush getting more awkward as he talks, but you smiled at his awkwardness.
âSorry, I ramble when I talk to pretty girls.â He says making you blush.
âYou think Iâm pretty?â You ask not quite believing what he had said.
âWell, i wouldnât say t if I didnât believe it was true. Plus youâre the only girl that hasnât turned me away.â He frowns.
âWhy would I turn away such a handsome young man such as yourself.â You flirt.
He smiles at you and offers you a hand up. You take his hand as he pulls you up but you lose your balance and fall bringing Harry with you.
âWell, I knew you thought I was pretty but at least take me on a date first.â You joke causing him to laugh.
You are staring into each otherâs eyes and are about to kiss when you hear a group of people shout Harryâs name. You both turn to face the group he was with before you both laugh nervously at being caught in the act. You both rush to get up and you smile. He goes to walk away but you stop him by grabbing his arm.
âYou know if you want to take me on that date, youâll need my phone number.â You grab a pen and piece of paper from your bag and write your name and phone number down.
He takes it, âY/N. What a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl.â He smiles and walks away.
You turn around to head home when your phone rings. You answer it, âHello, Y/N speaking.â
âJust wanted to be sure I had the right number.â You turn around to see Harry beaming at you as his friends are laughing and clearly making jokes about what had just happened.
A couple weeks later and you and Harry had had several dates now alongside daily text messages. You had learnt about Harryâs childhood in Guernsey whilst he found out about yours down in Portsmouth as well as why you had both moved to London.
As the days went on you started feeling as though this man was always meant to be a part of your life and couldnât imagine not knowing him. You were about to leave your apartment to go on another date with Harry when your phone rings and you see his face flash up on the screen.
âHey, whatâs up I was then leaving to come meet you?â
âWell I may have told the guys where we were going and theyâve decided to tag along. I hope you donât mind. Itâs just I find it hard to say no to people and I thought maybe when we get there we can just ditch them.â
âHarry, I donât mind maybe it is time for me to meet the people who are the reason we started this in the first place.â You say âthisâ as you havenât made anything official yet and werenât sure where you both stood in terms of it being a relationship. âWeâre also not ditching your friends, itâll make them dislike me for dragging you away.â
He laughs and you say that youâll see them in a bit. When you turn up, you see Harry stood with his back to you. His friends are facing you but you hold your finger to your lips to signal to them not to let Harry know.
You jump onto his back whilst saying, âHello there Handsome I see we have some interlopers on our date this evening.â You giggle as the guys fake an insult before laughing along with you.
âHey Y/N, meet my friends; Simon. Ethan, Vik, Josh, Tobi and, you probably know him as KSI, but we call him JJ. Guys this is my...This is Y/n.â You quickly hide your frown over the awkwardness of not being called his girlfriend but you smile at his friends.
âHey guys, Itâs nice to meet the reasons why I met this guy here. And just to let you all know I actually donât know a KSI so apologies if thatâs you but Iâve never heard of him before.â You say honestly. They all looked shocked but quickly get over it.
âSo youâre his Y/N are you? If I was you Harry I would ask her to be your girlfriend before she finds someone better.â Ethan Jokes but only the other guys found it funny, you and Harry stood there awkwardly as he faces you and pulls you away from the group for a minute.
âLook, I was going to ask you tonight anyways, but then the boys gate-crashed and we werenât alone. Things just became awkward. and then Ethan makes that joke, and Iâm sorry if youâve felt uncomfortable at all.â He rambles clearly nervous.
âHarry, calm down. Firstly Iâm not uncomfortable, I never could be if Iâm with you. Secondly if you were saying that you were going to ask me to be your girlfriend then my answer would be a resounding yes.â You tell him, he smiles and brings you in for a slow kiss. Your first one as a couple, youâd like to add.Â
Youâre broken apart by the voices of his friends laughing and making jokes. All saying either, âOOOâ or âI knew itâ or âLook it him, thatâs our boy.â They made it an awkward ending but then again everything about yours and Harryâs journey had been awkward, right from the word âgoâ. It was however, a comfortable awkward though, and you wanted it for the rest of your life.
Summary: You and Vik had been married for around 3 years now and already had two little boys. But no-one except your relatives knew. What happens when Vik finally decides to introduce you both to the Sidemen.Â
A/N - For this AU Vik never lived in the Sidemen house, but had his own apartment in London as well as a house on the outskirts of the city with the Reader
You and Vik had known each other since your childhoods in Sheffield. You had grown up next door to each other and were more or less joined at the hip. You knew from an early age that you loved this man with everything in your being but you waited until he felt the same.
It took a long time for Vik to realise exactly how he felt but you didnât care if he ever realised it, just as long as he was a part of your life. You first officially got together at 14, you knew people would question if you knew exactly how you felt but again you didnât care; neither of you did.
It was at 16 when you first said the 3 words you longed to both say and hear, but you both wanted to ensure you actually meant it. That night he said it first and you were surprised with just how nervous he was, but you returned the gesture and for the first time it lead to sex.Â
Of course you were safe whenever you had it. But one drunken night, when you were both 18/19, you had forgotten to be safe and it resulted in a baby. Itâs true that neither of you were exactly ready for a baby. However, nothing prepared either of for that first ultrasound of your baby. You couldnât hide your smiles, knowing you were having a baby with your best friend and life partner.
About 6 months into the pregnancy Vik proposed and of course you said yes, you couldnât imagine it playing out any different. Just before you had your baby, you and Vik bought a house that was completely secret from the sidemen, a group he was part of on YouTube; it was on the outskirts of the city about an hour away from Vikâs London apartment.
When you asked Vik why he hadnât told the Sidemen about you or your baby, all he said was that he was worried how they would view him being a young dad. You could understand his apprehension as when you tell people how old you are and they see that youâre pregnant, you can see on their faces just how much they are judging you.
When your baby boy finally arrived you were ecstatic, of course you were concerned how Vik would juggle working and having to live an hour away as well as being a new dad, but credit to him he handled it like a pro. No matter what was going on he always managed to come home for at least two days a week sometimes more. Your little boy, Harvey, never had to worry about his dad being distant as he was there for all his firsts.
Just after Harveyâs first birthday, you found out you were pregnant once again. Now being a year old you tried to convince Vik to tell his friends but he was still worried. As during the year between babies, you ahd gone to a registration office and gotten married. Neither of you were keen on having a bug wedding so it made sense.
You didnât push the matter but you were worried how he was going to continue hiding you all from them. You imagined one day he was going to slip up during a shoot and they would be more pissed that he hadnât told them but that was not your concern. I mean after all you really wanted to meet them.
Anyways, 9 months later you had another baby boy, Oliver. You couldnât be more thankful that you had three beautiful boys in your life. You couldnât imagine it any other way.
Itâs now been five years, Harvey was now 6 and Oliver was 5. The past few years ahd been a whirlwind for you and Vik. He had gotten bigger in the MInecraft scene and the Sidemen had made him a more well-known name in the UK. You couldnât be prouder of his progress and achievements but no matter how famous he got, he always made time for you and your kids.
This weekend he had asked you to come to his apartment, which wasnât an unusual occurrence but something about going this weekend had you on edge. You had messaged Vik that you were in the carpark of his building, you did this just in case he had any visitors. He had text you saying to come up, so you got both the boys out of the car and left your bags to come and get later.
âMummy, are we seeing daddy?â Oliver asks, with a big smile. He was more of a daddyâs boy than a mummyâs one, but you didnât mind.
âYes, baby. Weâre seeing daddy and weâre spending a whole weekend with him.â You reply causing your boys to jump up and down in excitement.
As you get to the door, you open it to let your two boys in. You hear them running and shouting, âDADDY!!!â as you hear your husbandâs laughter as well. You shut the apartment door and make you way into the living area.
âHoney, Iâm Ho...â Youâre stopped as you see the six smiling faces staring at you.Â
âUmmm....Hiâ You wave awkwardly. You search for your husband to find him stood behind you with your two boys in his arms.
He puts them both down and they run to meet the boys on the couch. But you didnât see much more as you had been stopped by seeing your husband. You embrace him with so much passion you knock him off of his feet causing you both to laugh. Your joined by two little bodies on top of you.
âGroup Hug.â You hear as six more bodies pile on, all being careful not to hurt the two little boys in the mix.
After a few hours you had met and started to get to know the sidemen. Youâre mid conversation when your husband grabs your hand and pulls you off to the kitchen leaving your two boys to bombard the guys with questions about his dad and everything about Youtube.
âY/N Iâm so happy I have no more secrets. I hope youâre okay I just sort of sprung this on you?â He asks.
âVik, Itâs fine. To be honest I was starting to wonder if Iâd ever meet them.â You laugh.
âThank you for sticking by me all these years, and for giving me those two beautiful boys over there.â He smiles.
âYeah about that. How do you feel about adding a third to the mix.â You raise an eyebrown.
âY/N do you mean weâre pregnant again?â You nod and say, âYeah weâre already 3 and a half months in.âÂ
He laughs and hugs you. He rushes over to the boys and your children. He sits Oliver and Harvey down and explains to them that theyâre going to be getting a baby brother or sister. They were both excited but what you couldnât believe was the looks of surprise and joy on the Sidemenâs faces.
You were just glad that you no longer had to be careful about how you used social media, not that that was a bad thing per say. But you could now spend more time with your husband and as a family, which meant more to you than anything.
"I'm here for you Betty. To bring you home," says the woman in front of me, acting as if she cares.
"I'm not going anywhere with you, Alice." I spit at her, full of anger and spite. Upon me saying her name, the whole bar gasps whilst Jug turns to me and says, "Alice. As in..."
"My mother," I intervene. "Although she doesn't deserve that title after what she put me through. She ruined my entire childhood.â
"Oh come on Betty. You're 17, you should get over it and come home where you belong. Your father's waiting in the car." I looked at her shocked from both her telling me to let it go and the fact that they BOTH survived the car crash.
"No. I'm not leaving my family and my home, for anything. You may be my birth parents but you are not my mum and dad. I don't have a mum and never will have, and FP has been more my father in the 3 years I've known him, than Hal has my entire life. So you can't just walk in here when it suits you, and expect me to hug you, accept the past and leave with you. I'd be returning to a nightmare, my own personal hell." I say getting all up in her face. "So I suggest you leave my bar, leave my town and never, ever show your face here again. If I so much as see yours or Halâs face again, you'll regret it. Understand." I threaten whilst swiftly putting a knife to her throat.
"You've changed Betty and I'll leave but don't for one minute think your safe. Weâll come for you and this time no one will come save you." She laughs whilst slamming the bar doors on her way out.
I turn and breathe a sigh of relief to see my friends, and more importantly family, looking at me surprised. "You've got sass Cooper," shouts Sweetpea from the pool table. I smirk and walk to the bar and ask Toni for a neat shot of vodka to calm me.
Whilst I'm sat at the bar with the girls, the guys are all playing pool but I can feel his eyes burning a hole in my head. I turn and smile at him, so I walk over radiating confidence. "You're staring Jug."
"So what if I am?" Jug queries, to which I smirk and come up with an interesting idea.
"What if I play against you?" Eyeing the pool table. There's a load of âooo'sâ come from the crowd. Nobody has challenged Jug to a game of competitive pool in years, he's the undefeated pool champion within the Serpents. "If I win I'll do whatever you want for the rest of the night and vice verse." He seems intrigued and suddenly he sticks his hand out for me to shake so I accept.
1 hour later.
Weâre down to the last ball and itâs my turn. I debate whether to let him win or not as I know what he wants me to do and it's the same as what I want to do. Thinking about it though I want to beat him more. I pot the ball and celebrate by hugging the girls. Jug seems disappointed so I walk to him and give him a passionate kiss.
"So what will you have me do ma'am?" He says in a terrible posh accent. To which I whisper in his ear seductively, "let's go home and you can find out." He smirks, grabbing my hand and dragging me out to his motorbike. We giggle like naughty teenagers...oh wait, we are.
We get to the Whyte Wyrm where we plan to celebrate our graduation with the Serpents. As we walk through the door, I canât help but notice that something other than a party is going on. Yes, there are congratulations banners but the whole atmosphere of the bar was just different. I noticed FP stood on the stage and the serpents were having a meeting maybe that's why it felt slightly different but I couldn't figure out why they were having a meeting without Jug there. We walk further into the bar and the serpents burst into a chorus of cheers and hollers after seeing us graduate.
Jug then grabs my hand and drags me to the stage with him. I turn looking at my friends with a raised eyebrow and a confused expression upon my face, they just shrug so I turn to talk to Jug but before I notice we're already on stage. He grabs the microphone and clears his throat to get the attention of everyone in the bar. I don't know what's going on but I'm getting nervous or worried, Iâm not quite sure which.
"Serpents. Thank you for helping us celebrate our graduation today and also for letting me introduce and welcome your new Serpent Queen, Betty Cooper." I'm shocked at Jug's announcement.
"Wait. What? Jug what's going on? What do you mean, new Serpent Queen?" I look out at the crowd to see them all smiling except I'm still expressing confusion and shock on my face.
He doesn't answer me but continues talking to the group. "Tonight we will be initiating Betty as Serpent Queen. Due to the discovery of her past and how much she's fought to survive. The Serpents unanimously decided that she only has to fight Bear in the ring." Hearing this I canât help but smirk internally, not showing everybody how confident I was. I knew that Bear is the undefeated underground fighting champion and has been for the past 10 years however, he's never had to fight me.
Afterwards the inner circle and I headed to the office to prepare me for the fight. They all look at me worriedly except for Sweets and Toni, they understand what I've had to do to in order to survive, and that I'm not one to give up, due to them experiencing similar situations. Granted theirs were only for a couple years not their whole life but they still experienced and understand more than most. I laugh though at their worry and continue getting changed into something more flexible and easier to move in.
"Guys look, I know Bear has been undefeated for 10 years but I've studied his fighting for years and I know his moves. When I was training, my uncle made me learn from Bearâs techniques and how to fight him should I ever have to. He wanted me to be able to beat the best fighters in the country, just on the off chance my parents ever sold me to really bad men, who had them under their employment. What I did in the forest to the Ghoulies was just the tip of the badass iceberg." I smile whilst trying to put their minds at ease.
"B, promise me you'll be careful. I trust you and your ability, I just don't trust how any of us would cope if something were to happen to you." V said frowning. I walk to her and wrap her in a tight hug.
"I promise all of you that I'll be careful. I guarantee you though, that Bear won't even get the chance to lay a finger on me."
"Don't get cocky" Sweetpea grinned in response. We all laughed knowing that was his way of alleviating the tension in the room.
10 minutes later.
I'm waiting for Bear in the ring. I lean over the ropes and gesture to my friends to come to me so I could tell them something.
"No matter how bad things could possibly get up here, do not interfere. I'm looking at you Jug. You have to trust that I can handle it and will survive like I've been doing since the day I was born. Plus, if you interfere I won't be your Queen. Got it," I say pointedly and they all nod. I ask Sweetpea and Toni to stay behind for a minute.
I whisper to them saying, "Promise me you two will hold Jug back if he goes to stop the fight. I know him and I know he will try to interrupt regardless of what I've just said. I know he trusts me but it's just the way he is. Promise me you'll stop him," They nod and I breathe a sigh of relief, knowing I don't have to worry about Jug's interference at any moment. I turn around ready and see Bear. He's huge and looks strong but I know that I'm quicker than him. The bell dings and we start.
He goes to punch me in the face but I duck and hit him in the stomach and the side where his liver is. He bends clutching the area that hurt, he was surprised at the amount of power I had put behind my punch. This gave me the chance to uppercut so I did. At the same time I jump wrapping my legs around his neck and pull him to the floor so he can't move. He tries to flip me over but I've got a hold of his arms. He taps out showing everyone that I won the fight.
I stand up and offer him my hand, which by the looks of it surprises him. "You're good, girl. Nobody's beaten me before and you're the first. That was also the quickest that Iâve seen anybody taken out. Maybe you can teach me a few things. Also nobody's ever stopped to be polite enough to help me off the floor, so thank you."
I nod at him showing how grateful I am for his comments. Jug comes rushing into the ring but his jaw is still open from shock. He directs me to look at all the Serpents and see that while me and Bear were talking nobody had moved a muscle surprised at what happened. Jug speaks into the microphone. " And the winner is Betty Cooper. This was a shocking defeat for Bear but I'm sure we're all happy that we can now announce that Betty is your new Serpent Queen. We'll complete the initiation in 20 minutes on stage to allow Bear and Betty time to clean up and get changed."
30 minutes later.
We're in the bar now and I've just been given my queen's jacket. We're all partying hard with so many things to celebrate when the door to the Wyrm bursts open. All serpents grab their guns and point it at the door thinking we were under attack, but put them down when they see it's a civilian (or so they think). My face contorts into one of horror at who is stood in the doorway. When they see my face the rest of the bar just looks confusedly at the situation.
Summary: You and JJ had secretly been dating secretly for about a year now. Not even the Sidemen knew. You both agreed to keep it share your relationship with friends and family, but not the more recent news, however JJ slipped up.
You and JJ were more than just friends you were each others best friend and lover. You had secretly been dating for a year now, and in that time neither one of you had told your friends or families.
At first you were just not going to publicly announce it but after some discussion between you both you realised that if any of your friends or family knew it could potentially of been leaked.
Now the only reason you had hidden it so long was because you were both enjoying the bubble that your were in. You enjoyed it just being the two of you. You knew that as soon as the whole world found out that you were dating, your lives and relationship would no longer be totally private.Â
In total honesty you were scared about people finding out, even JJâs friends and families. You were worried that they would think you were a gold digger, or in it for the fame, but you werenât. You were in it for your love for JJ and nothing else, and anyways you earned enough with your own job that you never expected anything from JJ in terms of that.
You had first met JJ on the underground. You were rushing to get to your job when you bumped into a random man whoâs hood was up and had a hat on. At first you were suspicious about a random person trying to disguise their appearance but now you understand it.Â
Anyways, when you bumped into them you spilt their drink all down them. You were so flustered youâd grabbed some napkins from your bag to help clean it. By this point JJâs hood had fallen and hat was off but you didnât recognise him. What surprised him was that even after seeing his face you still offered to pay for the dry cleaning or for another drink.
He had agreed to another drink if you joined him, so you called in to your work saying you couldnât make it today but they didnât mind as you were technically your own boss, they were just the agency. But as you were spending time with JJ you started to really like him and you could tell he did too.
For a month afterwards you saw each other nearly every day, but every time you met it was either at your place or in a private setting. You were starting to panic that he was a criminal or something so when you mentioned it to JJ he just laughed.Â
That night you found out about his career and just how famous he was. You were shocked you didnât know how famous he was but then again you werenât all into YouTube or the internet scene. This was the same night you also made your relationship official.
What you loved about JJ was how he was so shocked that you never had any idea how famous he was. Itâs how he knew that you were genuine and wanted nor expected nothing from him.
Back to the present day and JJ was getting ready to meet the guys for a Mukbang video shoot. He had spent the night at your apartment after you had suggested something to him.Â
What he didnât expect was for you to bring up marriage, which then led to you suggesting that one day the both of you should get married. After you mentioned it he knew he couldnât live without you so he proposed and you said yes.Â
But within your celebration you couldnât help but feel bad that none of your friends or families knew. So you and JJ agreed that within the next month you would tell them all privately before going public with your relationship. You wouldnât announce the engagement however until after you were actually married.
So today he was extra excited as he was going to be telling the boys, after their shoot, about your relationship. You were nervous as you werenât sure how they were going to react or how they were going to think of you. After JJ told you about them, ]you understood just how much of a family they were. You knew they meant the world to JJ and you were a bundle of nerves about meeting them later this afternoon.
After JJ had left, you went to work and mainly done paperwork to help keep you distracted from the impending meeting. Although the more you thought about the more you realised that as long as JJ was sure and confident in your relationship so will the Sidemen be.
After a few hours of being at work you got a message from JJ saying that you guys had a problem and to meet him at the address heâs sending you. With the cryptic messages from JJ you started worrying over his safety as well as the safety of his friends. You rushed from your work to the address he sent and barged your way in.
âJJ, where are you? Please tell me youâre alright. Please tell me the guys are too.â You start shouting, hoping to find JJ safe and sound.
As you enter a room you see all the Sidemen sat there with smirks on their faces and JJ with a sheepish grin on his. Observing the situation you see that everyone is fine and that the guys are all looking at you as if to figure you out.
From the situation you gather that JJ may have just blurted out to them about more than just him having a girlfriend. You were happy but more pissed that he had made you rush down here for this.
âOlajide Olatunji, please tell me that I did not just rush down here just because you finally told your friends about us?.â You glare at him angrily.
âUmmm...â He rubs his neck nervously.
You breathe out in a huff before turning to the six other sidemen before introducing yourself to each of them.
âHi Iâm Y/N. You must be Ethan.â You shake his hand, him shocked from you already knowing who he was.
âTobi.â Again you shake his hand, but heâs just smiling at you.
âYou look to be the oldest so Iâm going to assume youâre Josh.â You try and joke not expecting any laughs however the group burst out laughing when you here someone say, âI like her, sheâs funny.â
You turn to the voice and introduce yourself, âHarry I presume.â He nods shaking your hand.
âThat means that youâre Vik.â He smiles widely, still slightly laughing from earlier.Â
âWhich means that you must be JJâs oldest friend. Simon. Nice to meet you.â Heâs a bit more hesitant to shake your hand but he does so anyways.
As you step back you feel JJ place his hand around your waist but you can see the looks on their faces trying to figure out the type of person you are so you decide to address it.
âLook guys, I know youâve only just found out about me and itâs a shock. Especially since I presume JJ told you our most recent news.â They all nod knowing that you meant your engagement. So you continue.
âBut I need to assure you that I honestly never knew who JJ was before I bumped into him on the underground. Iâm even paying for half of our wedding/honeymoon because I donât want him to pay for it all even though I know heâs going to fight me on that matter.âÂ
You turn to JJ to see him with a raised eyebrow, you presume he was about to reject the idea before you returned the look telling him it werenât happening. He sighs accepting that you were splitting the costs. You hear laughter coming from the guys.
âLook Y/N we didnât mean to make you uncomfortable we just worry about JJ finding someone whoâs out for his money and fame and not him. But we can see thatâs not who you are. And the fact you were so concerned over our wellbeing is well when you stormed in here shows just how caring you are.â You hear Simon say, instantly calming the small bit of worry that was still there.
âYeah, Y/N to be honest it was a shock at first but after meeting you, I can see just how much JJ and you love each other. So as long as JJ is happy, weâll all be happy.â Josh says.
âWelcome to the Sidemen family Y/Nâ. You hear Tobi say.
You start laughing at their antics, also attempting to hide your inner emotional outburst from what they said to you.
You looked to JJ and smiled, knowing that it didnât matter who found out, that as long as you had each other you could get through it all. Especially since now you both had the support of the Sidemen behind you.
Above are the girls dresses. You can probably guess but just to clarify whose is whose. Top left - Veronica, top right - Cheryl, bottom left - Toni, bottom right - Betty.
Jughead's P.O.V.
Today was our graduation and I'd not know about the rest of my friends but I was excited. Mostly to leave the hellhole that is high school. We all decided to stay in Riverdale. Me and Betty we're going to do online college whilst running the serpents, the Wyrm, the mechanics across the street and helping out at Pop's when we can (due to Pop's retiring soon, he wanted Me and Betty to carry on running the place). Archie was staying to take over his dad's construction company with the help of Sweetpea for any heavy lifting and security and fangs for finances and general organisation. Kevin and Veronica were opening their own event planning/fashion business while Toni and Cheryl was staying to rebuild the Blossom Syrup empire and occasionally helping me and Betts with the Wyrm.
What the group didn't know was, that after we graduate and are at the Whyte Wyrm celebrating, I'm going to complete Betty's initiation we never got to due to extenuating circumstances. The Serpents had a vote, when Betty was late the other day, that meant that due to her brutal past and how she's managed to come out the other side (full of kindness and love might I add), she only has to fight the strongest serpent for at least 2 minutes instead of three of the strongest for 1 minute each. The strongest guy in the serpents is a guy called Bear; he's never lost a fight in his life, not once.
Nobody I know, not even my dad, has beaten Bear in a fight so I was reluctant to let Betts do it, however as a gang vote, it was unanimous. I've seen Betty fight though and I'm not as worried as I was initially; I'm confident that Betty can do it. If she wins she'll gain more respect and status in the Serpents, however she already has that. I don't know how she managed to get it so quick, but she does.
"Juggie! Come on, we're going to be late." Betty shouts through the bathroom door.
I look in the mirror, smile and run out to hop on my bike so I can get to graduation on time. We meet up with the rest of the guys and find our seats waiting for Mr Wetherbee to call out our names. Every time one of us goes up to receive our diploma, we cheer and holler louder, but that's because we're backed by the Serpents who are there to support us. At the end there is a valedictorian speech, although nobody knows who it is this year as it's been kept a complete secret. I'm surprised when I see Betty stand up and head to the stage. She smirks at me from the stage and begins.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, students and teachers. I want to express how honoured I am to be giving this speech at such an important moment in our lives. When I first moved here a couple years ago I had no friends and was reserved. I had no family and no future but, Riverdale high provided me with a group of friends, a supportive family and I have a bright future ahead of me now. I've seen us all grow and fulfil our dreams of graduating high school. Now we'll go on to fulfil our dreams for the future, whether it is becoming a world renowned pop star, the quarterback of a major football team, a mother, a father, or somebody who can change the wrongs of the world. My dream isn't for me but for all of us graduates to think about what it is that got you to this moment; was it a tragic past, an inspiring idol of your childhood? Whatever it was that got you here appreciate it, appreciate how it pushed you to strive for ultimate greatness, how it made us stronger as individuals, and shaped us into the young adults we are today. I leave us thinking of these thoughts and memories but now it's time to move our tassels, throw our caps and celebrate like there's no tomorrow. Congratulations graduates!"
We throw our hats and I turn hugging the group but we all stop noticing the tears in each other's eyes at Betty's speech. She comes running to me and jumps with her legs around my waist before planting her lips onto mine. We then gather into a group hug, until FP let's us know it's time to get going back to the Wyrm to celebrate with the serpents before the party. Little did Betty know that tonight would change her life and she would finally be Queen of the Serpents.
Summary: You hadnât felt well all morning but you couldnât worry too much as you had 7 Sidemen to help warm-up before their football video.
You, Simon and JJ were getting ready for the day. They were meeting the guys to film a football challenge video for their channel. You were coming along to help warm-up and give the boys some pointers. They had asked you to help out as you were a youth football coach for about 10 years of your life before you recently became a teacher.
âY/N are you almost ready? We need to get going or weâll be late.â You hear your boyfriend, Simon, shout at you. You knew full well though that you were no where close to being late as Simon always liked being the first one to the shoots if he could.
âIâm just putting my trainers on, Iâll be out in a...â But before you can get the rest of your sentence out you feel a sudden wave of nausea that has you rushing to the bathroom. Â
As youâre throwing up last nightâs dinner into the bathroom toilet, you hear the bathroom door open and close behind you. Before you know it you feel a hand slowly rubbing you back whilst another pulls back your hair from around your face.
You soon finish up before flushing the toiler and lean back taking a minute to breathe and calm yourself, after your sudden nausea.
âY/N are you sure youâre alright to come today? I donât want you to come and then over-exert yourself, if it makes you feel worse in the long run.â Simon says worry written all over his face.
âSi, donât stress, Iâll be fine I just havenât eaten enough for the amount of exercise Iâve done.â You smile at him.
âOnly if youâre sure youâll be okay? If you start feeling any worse you tell me, and Iâll bring you straight home.â Simon says clearly still a little concerned for your health.
You agree to his terms and he helps you up off of the bathroom floor before bringing you in for a kiss. He pulls away before remarking, âI will just let you know that your breath is a little bit bad, from all that throwing up.â You both laugh at how blatantly honest he was being, but you were thankful all the same.
An hour later you were at the field waiting for the rest of the guys to turn up. You were then about to go warm yourself up when you felt instantly dizzy and needed to sit down for a minute, you were lucky that Simon was off busy practicing with JJ otherwise he wouldâve taken you straight home. You took some paracetamol before looking up and see Josh approaching you with Freya in tow smiling brightly at you.
âHey Josh, and Frey. I didnât expect to see you here?â You say in curiosity. You were surprised to see Freya here as these types of videos werenât ones she usually tagged along for.
âWell Josh told me you were coming along just to help them beforehand so I thought I might tag along and when youâre not helping the lads we can sit and catch up.â She explains with a big grin on her face.
All the other boys turn up, most of them looking like they were dreading the next couple hours. You didnât waste any time though and gathered all of the boys onto the field for some quick warm-ups to avoid any of them getting injured, whilst giving them some useful tips and tricks when it comes to the challenges.
Youâre halfway through the warm-ups when you feel your stomach beginning to turn. You freeze in place for a minute before running to the bin, on the side of the pitch, and throwing up into it for the second time today.
Simon had noticed you stopped and as soon as you took off running he followed. Freya was at your side first, holding your hair back whilst Simon held you up and rubbed your back.
âY/N this is the second time youâve thrown up today, maybe I should take you home so you can rest. If by tomorrow you still feel the same Iâll take you to the doctors.â Simon says in a hurry as heâs obviously concerned.
âSimon, calm down. Iâm fine, like this morning I just havenât eaten enough. Let me go and clean my shirt in the changing room while you guys film your video and Iâll come out after Iâve had some time to sit and eat something.â You say hoping it will calm him down, which it does to some extent.
âAre you sure?â He asks.
âYes. And anyways, Freyaâs here to help me. If I feel worse she can take me home. Please Si, donât worry about me and go film a video with your boys. Plus I know youâre going to kick those boysâ arses at those challenges.â You say making both of you laugh.
A few minutes later you and Freya enter the changing rooms and you take your shirt off as you start running the taps to fill a sink with water and soap. From leans on the sink next to you with a raised eyebrow.
âIs there something you want to tell me Y/N?â Freya asks.                   âNo, what makes you think there is?â You frown in confusion.
âY/N youâre throwing up, you told me earlier you were getting dizzy and honestly donât be offended but Iâve noticed that your boobs are slightly bigger than they normally are. Is it possible that you could be pregnant?â The question sheâs posed makes you stop as you think back to when you last had your period and if you had unprotected sex sometime before that.
After thinking about it, you realise that it is more than a possibility and you quickly turn to Freya in panic.
âFrey what do I do? Me and Simon have never even broached the subject of kids. What if he doesnât want it? What if he doesnât want me either?â You start rambling in panic but Frey quickly interrupts you.
âY/N calm down. Iâll run to the corner shop and find some reliable pregnancy tests. you just sit here, take a deep breath and donât panic until you have a definitive answer.â You nod at her plan as she leaves the room to go and get you a stick that will give you an answer.
20 minutes later and Freya comes bursting through the doors and instantly hands you 3 tests. You go and pee on them before heading out and placing them beside the sink before sitting down and waiting for the result that has the potential to turn your whole world upside down.
When the time was up, you had to take a deep breath from how badly you were shaking from nerves. You got up and went to look at the result that was displayed on the test. You had tears in your eyes as you turn to Freya before telling her the outcome of the tests.
30 minutes later, you head out of the changing rooms and onto the field to see the lads setting up the next challenge. You instantly spot Simon and head over to him, you were nervous about telling him was has happened in the last hour.
âY/N, how are you feeling now?â You were so in your own head, you hadnât noticed that Simon had seen you walking towards him.
âYeah but, I need to talk to you.â You grab his hand and pull him a little way away from your friends, to give you some privacy.
âSo Frey and I had a chat and well... Itâs probably easier if I show you instead of tell you.â As you see confusion become prominent on his face, you pull the tests from your bag, that you had taken with you, and hand them over to Simon.
âY/n are you serious? Does this mean what I think it means?â You nod hesitantly at his question but are surprised when he suddenly picks you up off your feet and spins you around, gaining the attention of the lads and Freya.
âIâm so glad youâre happy about this. I honestly thought that you wouldnât want either of us when you found out.â You admit to him.
âHow could you think for one second that I wouldnât be overjoyed at this news? I want to share every experience life has to offer with you.â
He turns around to face the boys as he shouts, âGuess who is going to be a dad?âÂ
The boysâ jaws drop to the floor and you canât help but giggle at the sight of it. Itâs soon followed by laughter and celebration before they finally finish their football challenge video.
I don't get why Betty just stormed out of here like we punched her in the face. After what she just told us about her first experience with Riverdale parties as well as Riverdale men, how can she not expect us to want to hurt them or even kill them for that matter. They need to know what they did is not acceptable and pay for what they did.
"My sister frustrates me so much. I love her but she's so complicated." Fangs spoke up, being the first to break the silence we all sat in. We all nod in agreement; except Sweetpea, which I take as him not listening.
"I know." I reply. "How can she not see that all we want to do is protect her? Does she know how much we care for her? She doesn't understand that we'll always be there for her. Your right in that she's complicated, however we still love her."
We all look at each other but Sweetpea interrupted the silence. "She's not complicated if you UNDERSTAND her. But maybe the reason sheâs pissed is because she doesn't need our protection, she doesn't need us to fight her battles for her.â Iâm surprised at how much Sweetpea is riled up by this.
âSeriously guys, think about it, Betty grew up only having herself to protect her. She had nobody caring for her so she had to grow up quickly, whilst remaining strong through all the agony that was inflicted upon her. Betty knows you love her, that you care for her, and that you are ready to protect her, should she ask you to. All she wanted was for all of you, especially you two." He says that while pointing at me and Fangs.Â
He continues, "All she wanted was to be asked what SHE wanted, not to hear what you guys wanted. Every guy she's met up until now has taken something from her without asking her opinion or her permission. She had no control over anything until now, so all she wanted was to feel in control for once in her messed up life."
We look confused at all the wisdom Sweets had just blurted out. "That was insightful Sweets, but it sounded like you knew from experience." Archie said showing concern. Sweetpea's face was now contorted with sadness.
"It's because I do. For 5 years of my life my dad made me feel like I had no control through beating me. It was always physical but not to the extent that Betty went through. I suffered for 5 years but Betty has suffered for her entire life. The amount of pain she's gone through is more than I thought was even possible. No single person should've survived that amount of pain, yet she fought for herself just to survive."
We all decided that we needed to apologise to Betty and let her choose how she handles her past and her future situations. All we can do is support her so we got on our bikes and went in search of the rest of them at the mall.
Betty's P.O.V
The ride here was awkwardly silent, nobody dare talk about what happened back at mine and Jug's bedroom, or even why I stormed out mostly because they knew what I was feeling as well as why I needed some space.
I thought looking through shops would distract me, but no my emotions were fixed and I just couldn't get rid of them. I kept trying to bottle up my emotions and put on a smile so I didnât ruin the day for the girls and Kev. My friends needed me to be strong, I can't afford to show any weakness. As Hal once said "emotions are a weakness that can potentially kill you."
I looked in a shop window and spot the most stunning dress I had ever seen. I know that's what I want to wear under my graduation gown and for the party. I grab V and drag her to the shop, knowing the others would soon follow behind. I try on the dress to see how it fits me and it was a perfect fit. It made me feel... special, made me feel pretty for once in my life I felt like a normal teenager. After years and years of being told that youâre ugly, fat, or not good enough, you start to believe it, but I knew now that not a single word of it was true.
I step out to show my friends when they all gasp, which solidifies my decision that this is the for me; Itâs the dress that will change my opinion of myself. I turn to look in the mirror but not before I hear the one person's opinion who matters to me the most. "You look... woah. I'm speechless". I turn seeing Jug and the rest of the guys there with their jaws hanging open. But instead of smiling at them I cross my arms over my body and glare harshly at them.
"Look Betts we were jerks. You don't need us to protect you, you're more than capable of looking after yourself. But you especially don't need us to control how you handle the situation. We all love you and we feel guilty for all you have gone through. We didn't think about how we were acting. We're sorry, especially me." Jug said looking down at the floor, thinking I wasn't going to forgive him.
I walk to him and I can tell everybody tensed up, thinking I was going to slap him, but instead I gently lift up his chin and kiss him. I pull away then look to the boys to say, "I forgive you but if you ever get all over protective and possessive over me again, I will go all badass Betty on you."
We all laugh except the guys until they realise that they're my family and I'd never intentionally hurt any of them. Well unless they become absolute jerks but at the end of the day, they were my family and always will be my family.
It's been a couple days now since Betty came home and told us her life story. I'm laying in our bed staring at my beautiful girlfriend and thinking about how strong she's had to be just to survive, just to live. I love this girl to the ends of the earth and I need to show her everyday, she needs to know how much I love her, I can't and I won't lose her.
"Juggie?" She asks rubbing her eyes.
"I'm here princess. What do you need?"
"You," she replies; I kiss her and it was getting steamy, quite quickly, but before things went any further we heard a knock at the door.
"Who's there?" I shout, not wanting to get out of this cosy, warm bed to open the door.
"Who do you think hobo? It's inner circle." I hear Cheryl yell back. I sigh, kiss Betty on the forehead and get up to let them in. Luckily our make out session was just that and I still had Pyjama bottoms on.Â
After I get back under the covers and snuggled up with Betty, the group find seats in the room, some on the bed, others on the floor or on the sofa in the corner of the room. Nobody says anything, I know theyâre waiting for either me or Betty to ask the question.
"Why are you lot here at this time of the morning?" I ask tiredly.
"Because it's graduation in 2 days and we have to go shopping for dresses and suits for under our graduation gowns. That way we're ready for the after party and celebration we're having with the serpents back at the Whyte Wyrm." Veronica gleefully states. I see Betty sigh and hit her head down on the pillows causing me to laugh at her dislike for shopping. Although the glare sheâs now giving me, tells me that was the wrong choice.
"V, why are we going shopping when we've all got plenty of dresses in our wardrobes that are suitable for the occasion?"
Veronica sighs and looks annoyed with Betty's question. "Because B, why not? After all you've been through don't you deserve to buy a nice dress and celebrate something good in your life. When was the last time you went to a party and had fun?"
With that question, Betty froze, I could feel the nervousness in her, I could see the pain in her eyes. She quickly got up and ran to the bathroom, locking herself in, in the process. The group and I all looked at each other with confusion and worry, I walk to the door, take a breath and knock. "Betts. What's wrong? Come on, you know you can trust us. We care about you and want to help you through whatever is going on in that head of yours. Just unlock the door and come out... Please."
Nothing.Â
Veronica then speaks up, "I'm sorry B. You don't have to go shopping or go to the party with the serpents if you really don't want to. I just though it'd be a chance for us to let loose and have some fun, before we have to live in an adult world."
Betts then slowly unlocked and opened the door.
"That's not why I was upset V. Yes I don't like shopping but if it makes you happy I can cope with it". She looked me in the eyes and I knew what she wanted. I positioned myself on the bed so Betts could sit between my legs and lay into me. She then looks at all of us and sighs deeply.
"I'm sorry guys, I shouldn't have just locked myself away. I just needed a minute to think. Cheryl, do you remember a couple months after moving in with you, you took me to my first ever high school party." Cheryl nodded.Â
"Well you got so drunk that you went home without me and I knew nobody else there, so I had to walk home alone. Now believe me when I say I don't blame you for came next. You had fun and let loose and you didn't know what you were doing, I can never let you feel bad for that. You couldn't have known what would've happened to me that night."
She takes a minute to gather herself before continuing. "On my way home I had this feeling I was being watched. I thought I was just paranoid from my childhood trauma but I couldn't ignore it. So I took what I thought was a shortcut but that was a grave mistake on my part. I went away from any buildings or main roads and I got grabbed by a guy and his friends. I tried to fight so much but my training went out of the window because my mind kept flashing to what my parents did, to what my foster families did. While they held me down I knew what was going to happen. One of them slowly removed my trousers and.... then my....". She starts crying.
"Hey, you don't need to continue." I say stroking her hair to calm her down.
"Thank you. Iâm sure you can all figure out what happened. They each had their turn and left me there like a piece of trash. They had what they wanted and threw away the remains.â
"Betty I'm sorry I left you. I should've never got so drunk that I left you alone. Why didn't you ever tell me what happened? I could've helped you." Cheryl says breaking down in tears and placing her hand on Betty's knee for comfort.
"Because it wasnât the first, or even the tenth time that it has happened. Plus you had your own problems at the time with a bad hangover and a Toni in your bed." We all stared at each other shocked before bursting into laughter whilst Cheryl and Toni blush.
"Do you know who they were? Do you remember what they looked like or anything that could help identify them? If so tell me because I'm going to find them and beat the crap out of them." Fangs said in rage whilst standing up quickly. "No-one and I mean no-one hurts my little sister and gets away with it." Me, and Arch nod in agreement, and clench our fists ready to put up a fight.
Betty looks at us and gets up whilst glaring at all of us. She puts on her shirt, shoes and jacket quickly and in anger. "Girls, Kev let's go shopping and leave these guys to keep throwing around their possessiveness. I can't be around this toxic masculinity any longer." And with that said the girls and Kevin left the apartment to go shopping, leaving us guys stunned
"Hey guys. I know what happened tonight, me taking down a bunch of Ghoulies obviously raised some questions." I start scanning the faces to see them all watching me, listening.
"But there's a reason as to why I know how to fight, and know how to use a gun. It's a very dark part of my life that I've never been able to share with anyone. But I've since realised that you're all my family now and because of that you deserve to know the truth."
I once again look to try and gage their reactions but theyâre all so intent on listening carefully, to me. I breathe deeply, but then a shot was shoved in my face, I take it and down it. Seeing that it was Veronica who passed it to me in the first place, I thank her and give her back the glass. I definitely needed some liquid courage.
"It all started when I was 3. I don't know why but one night my mum and dad came home angry and, just different somehow. They burst into my room and started hitting me, for no apparent reason. Before that night though they were your everyday, normal loving and caring parents." I decide to sit down on the edge of the stage preparing for the long story to come. âYou all might as well join me and sitâ You suggest to all the patrons in the bar.
"As I got older the punishments, as they'd call them, got worse and more painful. Whether it was electric shocks, beatings with a bat or starvation over a period of time, it was always me and never my two older siblings, Chic or Polly. They however left when I was around 8, they'd promised to come back for me but now, 9 years later, I still haven't heard a peep from them. That's why I have such a hard time trusting anybody. It's also why I believe that anyone that I meet or get attached to, will see how broken I truly am and abandon me." I pause to take a breather and see some serpents in tears, others looking sorry for me whilst I just sat there holding in my tears with a frown upon my face. I needed to be strong, like I have been my entire life.
"When I was 10 I decided it was time to fight back, however, I could never bring myself to fight my parents, I loved them even if they didnât reciprocate it. I started sneaking out to my uncle's where he taught me to fight, handle weapons and ways to survive torture. However, the day before my 13th birthday my parents followed me and found out what my uncle was teaching me. They killed him right in front of my eyes, without a care in the world. The only person to care enough, and who never gave up on me, was forced to leave me behind. Once again I felt abandoned; even though I knew it wasn't his fault, I still felt slightly betrayed.â You take a breath, steadying yourself before continuing.
âThat night as we drove home, the car we were in was ran off the road. The driver that did it dragged me out but left my parents and took me to the hospital. I never met this person but I did see them. And if I saw them now I'd know who they were, they were my guardian angel after all. My parents were assumed dead as no bodies were found at the scene, they assumed they left and died in the woods but something didn't feel right to me as it didnât add up. After a while I just ignored that I had the feeling, but I didn't complain as I was taken from the hell I was living and placed in foster homes."
I take a minute to calm myself and regroup when I feel a hand on each of my shoulders. I look to see Sweetpea on one side, and Toni holding my other. They've told me about their pasts a month or two ago as they thought it might make me open up, It didnât at the time but I knew they understood more than the others. What came next, I know no-one would be able to make sense of. I couldn't and I still can't, there was no reason for what came next in my hell-hole of a life.
"You would think that with my parents dead, my life would take a turn and get better but it didn't. The first foster home I was placed in was brutal. There were so many kids that you'd have to fight for everything and anything. Be it a bed, clothes, food, freedom. I was always ganged up on, I could've fought but there was more kids against me than with me. Though this made me keep up with my training, I found a gym down the road I could break into over night to help me get stronger. In the next foster home there was just me and my foster dad but what he did... what he did broke me so that I couldn't fight back. What he did taught me to never trust anyone, and I didn't, until I met you guys."
Someone in the crowd shouted, "what did he do exactly?" A tear dropped from my eyes, I knew they'd want to know so I replied. "He took the one thing from me that I wanted to give my one true love, my soulmate." I look at Jug. "He took the one thing I wanted to give you Jug". Everyone gasped but I carried on for fear of breaking down and not being able to finish my story.
"I went to somewhere around 15 foster homes. At each one I was beaten or tortured for hours. I don't know why but it was the same in all of them until Cheryl and her parents took me in 2 years ago, and she introduced me to all of you. That was when my life truly changed, and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. I found Fangs, a brother who actually cared; I found a dad in FP; I found sisters in Cheryl, Toni and V; I was reunited with my childhood best friend and made lifelong friends in Sweets and Kev. But most importantly..." I jump off the stage and walk to Jug. "It's where I found you. It's where I realised I'm not alone and never will be again. So I just want to thank all of you for saving me from the darkness that was consuming me and sucking me in, until I couldn't take anymore."
I kiss Jug after that and hug him with so much love that he falls off the bar stool. The bar erupts into laughter, as do me and Jug. He kisses me again then helps me up. Our inner circle come over and we group hug, not out of pity but out of love. They knew that I had to be strong to survive all of that. I turn to V and she asks me a question that I really didn't want her to ask.Â
"Did my dad ever...?"
"Yes. I'm sorry you found out this way V."
"No I'm sorry B. I should've realised what was going on, I should've been able to stop him." I cut her off by hugging her and telling her that no-one could've known because I didn't want them to, and I was good at masking my hurt from others.
I was truly happy, I could now be my true self with my family. I didn't have to hide anymore, I was free from the weight of my secrets. But somewhere in my gut, I could tell that this was going to be the calm before the storm.
