The movie you were currently watching was supposed to keep you awake, but it seemed to be doing the opposite. After the busiest day ever, when you finally got the chance to join your best friend Calum in the living room, your body decided to surrender.
You absolutely adored movie nights with Ashton, Calum, Luke and Mike; it didn’t really matter when or where, if a movie night was happening, you would be there for sure - even if you were too tired to make it to the end of the first movie.
A content sigh slipped from your lips when you found yourself with your head on Calum’s chest while his hands slowly ran through your hair as your body slowly gave in to the relaxed energy he was giving off to you. And every time you were like this, you couldn’t help but feel like you were home, because there was no place you’d rather be and no one you’d rather be with.
Just as you closed your eyes with the intention of shutting your brain off and maybe get some sleep, you recognized Ashton’s voice blurting out a low “Does she know?” to Calum.
“Does she know what?” The brunette asked, completely oblivious to what the other one was implying.
But Ashton saw it. He saw everything, from the way his eyes lit up every time your name was mentioned to the way he held and protected you every time you were around. So when he said “That her best friend is completely in love with her.”, Calum couldn’t actually believe those words came out of his friend’s mouth, because what the hell? How did he notice it?
And when he found himself in that situation, there was nothing else to do besides shaking his head and letting out a little chuckle, because he didn’t know what to say to defend himself.
“Anyways, you better tell her, dude.” The blonde one told him.
“But what if she doesn’t feel the same way?” Calum ran his left hand through his hair - something that he did every time he felt nervous.
“Believe in me, she does…” Ashton affirmed.
“How do you know it?” And by the time your best friend asked that you couldn’t really hide the fact that you were actually awake anymore, so you definitely weren’t able to stop yourself from letting out a little smile.
“Because she’s smiling right now, so I’m pretty sure she’s not asleep and she heard everything.“
