Are there going to be any meetups in South Florida or at Metro con in 2020?

2020 was a social experiment. It didn't exist, thus, I don't exist.

I am a social contruct of a bigone age on an inactive tumblr.

Or, at least, thats what I'd imagine past me would say in an attempt to be existential, but really coming across as a pale imitation of my former self.

HIVESWAP IS RELEASED! :D

Been awhile since I’ve posted here, and I realized I never said my excitement about the game!

Honestly, I’ve been wondering what to do with this blog for awhile as the homestuck scene has drastically changed and any regular meetup events are far spread or convention based. So, why not have some discussions/cosplay reblogs?? If that’s something people would be interested in?

Which brings me to the game, personally, I loved part 1. It was refreshing to return to sarcastic quips, long rambling text on random objects, and just felt a lot more fresh then Homestuck has been in awhile. I still have to play the friendship simulators with the new trolls, but I’m also excited for that!

What were did y'all think? Opinions on the new hiveswap trolls? Hit up my inbox, we’re back in business!

Is this a dead tumblr? Are there ever going to be any more meetups? Why did I not start Homestuck when it was still alive? My life is sad.

The short answer is mostly, not by me, and sorry.The long answer is their isn't a lot going on for homestuck anymore. While I will still reblog things as I find it/its brought to my attention, most homestuck things have fadded. What does happen is convention related which I reblog as conventions happen. Personally, while I like homestuck still, I'm not as invested to host things myself. Its a lot of work and I don't have the time nor energy. Perhaps when the game finally comes out things will revive and I'll have more to post. As of now, I don't. Keep on keeping on,Mod Karkat

Happy 4/13 Everyone!!

Though the fandom has been pretty inactive, homestuck still holds a special place in my heart. Don't know how much more will be done until Hiveswap comes out, but we're here and have our memories of some great times. Hope everyone has an awesome Passover/Easter too!! Hello, I am hosting a Homestuck meetup at Holiday Matsuri 2016. It will be Saturday 12pm & Sunday 11am at where the group was last year by the right hand side of the main entrance (unless we are requested to move).

Hey Everyone

Mod Nepeta here! :33 Ya see all the mods have been pretty busy, so we’re sorry for missing out on your asks and meet up requests. The silence will end soon, promise.

When: Saturday 11PM-3AM (or whenever you get tired and want to leave.)

Where: Ground floor, the Rotunda section by the shuttle dropoff side. There’s chairs and food but it may potentially be a little crowded. I don’t know how many people will be there at 11 at night but probably not many. If it gets too crowded we have a backup area on the second floor that we can lead everyone to.

Rules:

Clean up after yourself! Do your best to pick up your trash. Prints and stickers will be handed out but please don’t put the stickers on hotel property! If you bring food please pick up the wrappers/containers.

Watch your noise level. There are other people at the con and not everybody appreciates screaming people in gray at 2AM.

Is this for Homestucks only? Nope! Any fandom is welcome. Please be respectful of other people’s fandoms and be nice. You do not have to cosplay to the drawmeet, coming in normal clothes or pjs is perfectly ok.

What do we bring? You, your friends, your sketchbooks, cards, anything you need. You do not have to draw, if you just want to talk to people and have a good time that’s just fine!

No drugs or booze. Leave that mess in your hotel room, do NOT bring it to the drawmeet.

What if someone is making me uncomfortable? If someone is harassing you, hitting you, being rude, obnoxiously loud, or ignoring your personal boundaries, let a con staff member or one of us know.

i was thinking of hosting a meet-up for lamecon, just a little get together to meet other homestucks and make new friends, meet new people, etc. how would i go about doing that?

Really it’s all about making a post, preferably a photo along with Text so everyone can share and reblog it, with the date, time and location. You might wanna make a facebook event too to keep ppl up to date. 

For rules, Jaxstuck has a wonderful guide you can check out that the Mod there put a lot of work into. It says photoshoots, but it also works perfectly for meetups too!

Pretty much it’s making a plan, telling other people about this plan, and showing up. Boom, you got a meetup.
