Hello. I’m Florian, or Mod Flower I guess. My sister and I decided to set up this blog since we’re moving to Paldea soon. We wanted to make friends online at least, since making friends in person at a new school is probably going to be kinda hard. Uhhhh an about me… I like watching competetive battles on tv or mewtube. We’re from Galar so like, battling in general is kinda big culturally, yknow? I could never strategize like some of those gym leaders could though, have you seen Raihan’s weather team?
Okay okay we get it, you’re a nervous mess that likes to watch battles but not train Pokémon yourself. Okay. Hi, I’m mod Jewel, aka Juliana! Said the galarian way not the paldean way. I had to cut out like a paragraph of my brother going onnnnn and on nnnnn about gym leaders and the former champ Leon and strategies and like. Yeah that’s cool or whatever but we’re fifteen, we should be doing that ourselves now! Hopefully once we’re settled in paldea and the issue of school is dealt with, we can have our own exciting adventure!!! -Mod Jewel
This may not matter now, but for the future-
Mod Flower’s Pokémon: Sir Flatbread the Drowzee, Flint the Houndour, Spookss the gastly (technically registered to Juli for later trade evo purposes), Copper the Hisuian Growlithe, Cyril the Indeedee, Whispur the Espurr (has hisuian zorua genes, long story)
Mod Jewel’s Pokémon: Bowsette the steenee, Lapis the Azumarill, Brightbill the ducklett (noibat genes), Torpedo the gible
Shared Pokémon: Koraidon, Miraidon, Dekopon the Ogerpon, Eclipse the Bloodmoon Beast, Fezandipiti, Munkidori, Okidogi
(OOC below the cut)
Howdy! I’m vesper, of @vespers-pokeblog-hub fame. This is a pokemon irl liveblog retelling of the events of Pokémon scarlet/violet, but with both protagonists and both versions of the story in one universe
Anyone can interact! I don’t know all the terms or anything, but I treat pokemon as sapient, if usually unable to speak with their trainers in most cases, anyways, and even if it’s other versions of Flori, Jul, their friends, etc, rotomblr is a multiverse imo. The twins are used to rotomblr at this point so they’re just like “oh ok might as well happen” about things.
I would like to ask you guys to not tell them how the story of scavio goes, unless it’s really vague like “the professor thing” or “is Mabosstif ok” or something like that- if you “spoil” their story to them I’m probably just going to ignore the ask.
Mails are okay, magic anons aren’t, I don’t know much about all the other stuff, but I’ll take it on a case by case basis, and I withhold the right to ignore anything that I don’t want to incorporate. Mystery gift is open!
This is really just an excuse to replay scarlet and violet, and a way to dip my toes in the Pokémon irl rp scene with a story I don’t have to completely make up since it’s just the canon story but my version haha.
I don’t really do DNIs because they don’t work imo, but I do block if I don’t like something. This probably won’t matter so long as everyone is normal, but this is tumblr, so like. It is what it is. I’m an adult but flori and Juli are kids so be normal, I’m autistic and might misinterpret things but I’m open to (good faith) correction so be normal, just treat me like you’d wanna be treated and we’ll be chill.
From what you've said I've lowered the choices to our Pignite and Simisear!! :D
Our Litleo is a younger fella and I think if you've got some Pokemon who have lots of energy and might roughhouse a bunch it might not be the best fit XP Our Monferno is pretty stoic most of the time but sometimes if other Pokemon bother him too much he gets grouchy XDD He can put up with a lot of shenanigans but he has his limit!!
We have a female Pignite and a male Simisear who might fit the best! :]]
Our Pignite, Darla, is a wild little gal! She loves to play and is very determined to make friends with everyone she meets!! She sounds like she'd be right at home in your team!
Our Simisear, Koshi, Is a calmer fella who isn't bothered when other Pokemon around him are being a little bit chaotic [X He gets along really well with pretty much everyone! Maybe a little bit of a calm addition to your group might be good XDD
Ooo Okok. Yeah, I think the simisear would be the better fit. A calmer presence probably would be good to have, yeah!
I’m flying to- wow almost typed Alola for a sec oops- /Unova/ this weekend for Lapis’s monthly checkup, so i could come by then to do all the official adoption stuff? Uh! Would my mum have to come too, since I’m not 18, or? Totally ok if so, we can work that out, I just need to know since usually I fly alone so she’d have to hurry and buy tickets yknow?
Hi! Absolutely and totally fair that Princess Pop needs to go to someone who can focus on her care, I totally understand. I will, instead, ask to get set up with a different Pokémon!
So, first off I’ll get me and my brothers List Of Pokémon out of the way because any Pokémon that would join the team would be around the others lol.
So, my brother’s team is a drowzee, a houndour, a gastly, a hisuian growlithe, a male indeedee, and an espurr with some sort of fancy breed variation. My Pokémon are a steenee, azumarill, some sort of breed of ducklett, and a gible. Between the two of us we also have several strong Pokémon that were too dangerous to be in the wild, but those never interact with our other mons without like, a ranger there working with them. They’re all poison types. Then there’s Ogerpon, an old girl who lived in the mountains for a while. Annndddd of course! Our weird dragons! They’re strong seemingly variants of cyclizar, but they were hurt a while back and can’t battle. They’re our ride Pokémon, and pretty much always around us. With this whole group there are some energetic mons! Though I match their energy haha. It’s definitely not a group that just every Pokémon would be able to get along with.
I am interested in adopting a Pokémon. I’ve been considering a fire type, but I’d also be interested in an electric, fighting, poison, or normal type. I mainly was first thinking fire because “oh fire water grass defensive core” but also that’s not suuuper necessary, yknow? Type isn’t everything, and team synergy is more the important thing.
I do need a Pokémon that can see well though- weird specification but I’m half deaf and use signed commands to work with my mons easier, so a Pokémon with poor eyesight wouldn’t be the best. Energy level doesn’t matter, if they’re high energy, well I prefer wandering around outside any chance I get! If they’re lower energy? That’s perfectly fine too!
-💎 Juliana!
( @flowerandjewel )
I see!! Thank you for all the information! :] And we totally get the disability part!! Mr Pine himself is deaf and half blind on one side, so he totally understands! ;DD
As for Pokemon, I'll give you a small list of some of the fire Pokemon we have here since that's the first type you asked about!! I assume you're trainers so I've picked out some Pokemon that are listed as trainer preferred adopts! [[:
We have a Pignite, a Litleo, a Monferno, a Simisear, and a Salazzle! I tried to pick Pokemon that are in the same size range as the ones you said you have. I'm not too sure where to go from there, though! Each of them have very different personalities and it would be good to know why you're cautious about introducing new Pokemon to your team. Help figure out if any of these personalities would work well with your mons!! :]]
The main reason I’m worried about introducing new mons into the team is mainly that they’re a very… lively bunch, other than like, Flori’s espurr and my azumarill lol. They’re playful and rowdy for the most part. And while a potential new Pokémon doesn’t have to match their energy, they have to be okay being around it?
Like, uh! We tried introducing our mons to my friend’s mons, and his poor Toedscool got spooked by how excited torpedo (gible) and flor’s fire dogs were that she started running away, which they took as a sign to play, and it was a whole chaotic chase, running mushroom chased by two dogs, their trainers, and a little dragon with stubby legs- it was a whole ordeal! And like. It’s totally fair for some mons to be spooked by The Group’s… enthusiasm. But. Yeah.
I’m also just. A bit worried about being told that I can’t adopt because me and Flor are traveling together and so have such a big group of mons and also have the three somewhat dangerous Pokémon even though we’re very careful about those. And it DOESNT HELP that I forgot to mention Flor also has an Ursaluna that’s ??????? Weird looking because it’s lived like a hundred years????? He doesn’t come out of the ball much and mostly just sleeps when he does so I just forgot? And just. The fear that because of all the weird circumstances you’ll just tell me “uh, no actually.” So I wanted to be very clear and careful about those circumstances from the beginning including emphasizing that it’s probably not a fit for every mon. Yknow??
Oh yeah I should!! Also mention that Lapis, my Azumarill, is half deaf and lost part of her ear in an accident. She gets along well and is comfortable with the others and I don’t know if it would impact what Pokémon you’d suggest at all, but ! To cover all the bases
But uh! Yeah! I kinda want to stay away from the salazzle, because from what I know about them they use pheremones and stuff and one of the three poison types we’re working with also very specifically uses pheremones to get what it wants, and while I’d be careful I don’t want to even risk a clash because of salazzle also using pheremones. Other than that, any of the options you listed would work, would any of them be more comfortable with what I’ve described of The Group than the others? Can I hear a bit about their personalities?
So, uh, what do those of you who do the whole... adventure thing actually intend to do once that, you know, stops? It's gonna eventually. So, like, you have thought about that at least a little bit, right?
No idea! Flor is super into battle theory so like he’ll probably go far with that, maybe. If his indeedee stops leaving the battle to say hi to my gible, that is, lol. But me? Who knows. I like working with pokemon. It’s weird to thing of just like. Doing something else. Which… yknow. Doesn’t help that we grew up in Galar where you’re either a Pokémon battling fan or a shut in with no life pretty much.
…I’ve liked working with the Toxic Trio, even though they’re… difficult. I’m glad Flor caught them even though they’re dangerous. The rangers said they probably wouldn’t have been given a chance otherwise. Maybe I could work with dangerous and problem pokemon or something.
Who knows? Me and my brother are only 15 so like, there’s plenty of time.
I mean, to be fair, I'm a weirdo who never did a Journey™ or anything like that, and don't have a trainer's license. But surely your Galar isn't that obsessive with competitive battles?
I mean. You know sports? Unova is all about that football right? I know nothing about football except that one football in the future sci-fi webseries sorry.
Imagine the fans of sports. But the sports is battling.
It doesn’t help that we grew up in a gym town, and particularly one who’s leader was switching all the time because both the major and minor league leader in the town were good enough to theoretically be able to be major league. There were some die hard fans for either one. Pretty much all our hometown culture was either the historical stuff that was proven faulty a few years back, tourism to the newly unearthed statue that changed the region forever or whatever, and battling.
So, uh, what do those of you who do the whole... adventure thing actually intend to do once that, you know, stops? It's gonna eventually. So, like, you have thought about that at least a little bit, right?

I might sound like a crazy person but did anyone ever find it strange that Blue's Clues never featured any pokemon? They were all animals. Blue and Magenta are dogs. Periwinkle is a cat. What's up with that
Actually, smeargle is a canine pokémon! At least over here anyway. Also, I’m a little confused about how your universe’s version of Blue’s Clues could have no pokémon, but you described Blue and Magenta as dogs…?
i'm not the same person that made this post. you're correct, smeargle is in fact a canine pokemon, even if it isn't as obvious as, say, houndoom.
does your universe not have animals as separate entities from pokemon? in this universe, a dog is an animal (descended from ancient wolves, domesticated, selectively bred into several different "breeds") that is also described as "canine".
i had never considered that a universe with humans could not have dogs. they're the perfect beginner pet, living about 15 years, easy to train, no powerful or destructive abilities, fairly intelligent for an animal.
Oh, sorry! That explains my confusion then. We do have animals actually!
Humans are animals, and as far as biologists can tell animals and pokémon split a long time ago. And we do have wolves, but “dogs” refers to canine pokémon. We don’t have domesticated wolves, since there was just never a need for it when you could befriend a canine pokémon. Universal differences sure are fascinating!
I think Cyril basically raised Torpedo. Because he babies her soooo much, seriously. It’s cute! Except when he stops listening to me and goes over to say hi to her. While Juls and me are in Battle studies. This doesn’t look good for EITHER OF US!!!!!!!! Wah.
hey florian! it's nice to meet you :) im corbin! from unova
@davepetatrains
Hey nice to meet you Corbin! What’s Unova like? A friend of mine goes to a school there but I don’t know much about it other than, like, they host a lot of world battle tournaments because they have a stadium that’s good for that.
Me and my twin, Juliana, are from Galar but we moved here to paldea recently. It’s pretty cool, other than the random stuff we got roped into haha
unova is amazing, I've lived here my whole life! I'm from a little town called nuvema, and idk about the world tournaments //ooc note this muse is from the bw1 timeline lmao// but im currently on a journey and also trying to save my rival from his manipulative. Dad? advisor? he doesn't deserve to be called a dad, at any rate.
what's paldea like? sai has told me some but not much. id also love to hear about galar :0
It sounds like you’ve also ended up roped into stuff, ?? Understandable. I hope your rival turns out okay and you can help with the dad thing. A friend of ours also has parental issues and we’re helping him, because his parents are in the death hole and won’t talk to him but his Pokémon is hurt too bad for a center to help. I have strong opinions about sandwich buddy’s parents :) (I would hit them with my crutches)
Paldea is pretty nice. All the towns and cities are pretty spread out, and they don’t have designated routes to travel on so sometimes we can end up in places we shouldn’t….. I’m staring in Juli’s direction because that’s something she’s done MORE than once.
And Galar was… I mean, “it was nice” doesn’t really cut it. How do you describe the place you grew up? The home that raised and changed you? Raised to believe one thing about the history, and proven in your lifetime that it was wrong and actually was something else. We grew up in a bit of a shifting time.
Uh. Sorry, bit of a ramble there. I grew up watching the league circuit battles and stuff. The fact that that rose guy was the chairman of the league but was using that power to fuck stuff up and bring the Darkest Day and kinda ruin people… sucked.
Galar was a decent place to live. Even if the school jul and I went to… wasn’t great, lol. But there are bullies in every region.

Crawls out of the busyness that has been the last few days. Hi. Florian here. Still dealing with the general sorenesss that comes with travel while disabled. I have three badges now, and we’ve started investigating the fourth titan, but it’s…
We need to train a bit more before we’re at that level.
But! We’ve dealt with the dark type and fire type team star bases, and are planning on heading to check out the poison type base tomorrow. I… still don’t know exactly why Cassiopeia is pushing this so hard, like… team star is disruptive, and they were blocking the roads between cities in a few places… but also so far they’ve just been. Kids? I… none of it sits right with me. Why has no one done anything before us. Why is the director trying to do something NOW but only disguised as a student with a pompadour?? (Why does no one else recognize the guy????)
Hi. I’m taking a few days off from posting. I took a hard fall the other day and scraped myself up pretty bad, which on top of my usual back issues has made it really hard to focus on anything with the pain brain fog. I’ll be back to posting once I’m less sore.
Making the strategic choice not to go to class tomorrow to save energy for going out to the segin star base because Cassiopeia called us again. I. Probably won’t be doing much of the fighting, but like hell am I letting Juls go alone.
Okay. Hi. We’ll talk about the new mons for our actual teams later, but this is about the new Pokémon in our care. Unwillingly, for some of them, but no one else would take them.
It’s not really my place to tell Kitakami’s legends and folktales. Or to say that they were wrong for having them. That’s not what I’m doing here. But the Pokémon the legends were about are Pokémon, not stories with a moral.
The loyal three, Munkidori Fezandipiti and Okidogi, were causing trouble. Trying to get their hands on any particularly shiny thing they could, even other than the masks. Kitakami has the Terastal phenomenon, which means crystals are common, in certain areas more than others.
They also died and came back to life in a time they aren’t used to, which is???? Hm.
So, uh. We’re going to be working with them. And having a teacher of ours help, when he can, and looking into what professionals would be able to work with them. Because odds are otherwise they’d have either been kinda menaces to people, or ended up boxed. Which in our universe is like suspended animation they won’t get unhealthy or hungry or anything there. But it’s still kinda not fair?
We may end up giving them up should we find someone with the training to meet their needs fully, but for now, part of our schedules will be working with them. Supervised by our teacher or a ranger, at first.
Then there’s Ogrepon. Or, uh. Dekopon, because she’s grass type and has similar “fruits” as Cherubi does on its body as a sugar store, and that’s a type of orange.
She asked to come with me. She’s, pretty independent? But she was very clearly lonely. And while the villagers understand that she’s not a threat now… I don’t think she wanted to stay in the place that shunned her.
She battled me, then afterwards gave her masks to me. That was her way of asking to come with me. So, she’s traveling with us. She’s not on my battling team because quite frankly she’d just win against most people, so at the moment she’s only battling against our battle buddy Nems, because they’re both super into battles, win or lose, and Nems already knows Mira and Kora, so she’s cool with weird Pokémon.
I might post about the three. They don’t currently have nicknames, but that may change? I’ll tag them as like. Toxic Trio. Not to call them toxic! But because they literally have a toxic chain, and it’s what we’re labeling their ability.
Flor's likely to be tired from the flight, maybe a nice peppy breakfast could cheer him up? Chesto Berries are perfect for staying awake if he wants to do that, and they can be served in smoothies and coffee!
Ooooo that’s a really good idea! Chesto smoothie… I’ll have to ask mum if I can go use the blender because we don’t have one in either of our dorms but. Yay!
Might use a little bit of the herba we kept ahold of, he’ll be achey after the flight… especially with all he got up to.
Which! We will be telling you guys about! Or, at least as much as Flor wants. Mostly the stuff that has to do with the Pokémon in our care.
