what are your favourite australian films? I really need some new ones to watch

I just watched the 1978 version of ‘Long Weekend’ which was really great. Otherwise umm there’s heaps! Muriel’s Wedding, the Castle, Two Hands, Candy, Death in Brunswick, Priscilla, Strictly Ballroom, Romper Stomper…I think one of my favourite’s ever would be Malcolm. Set in Melbourne’s inner North in the 80’s it’s about an autistic man who loves trams lol i’ll let you just watch but it’s great. I also really love the movie Spotswood! It’s about people that work in a moccasin factory in Melbourne. Samson and Delilah and Beneath Clouds are both amazing but very sad. I also love Snowtown even though I could only ever watch it once. I also have a soft spot for the movie Somersault bc it’s partly set in Canberra where I grew up but beyond that I don’t like it much lol.

Anyway there’s heaps more than what I listed but yeah <3
