Maybe fall isn’t supposed to be a time of ecstasy and adventure and travel for me this year, maybe what I need is to be right here, finding peace, finding joys in small things, reading books that inflame my soul, writing words that feel important, singing songs and connecting with the beautiful humans around me.

I have so much to appreciate here, an abundance of love.

I can get through this sadness and reconnect with joy and gratitude.

Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won't adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet.
