Training my nervous system to choose an unfamiliar heaven instead of a familiar hell
still so many things to do and achieve this year.
Maybe youâre in the middle of what you prayed for.
i love reading, i love thinking about what i am currently reading, i love thinking about what i am going to read next, i love being privileged enough to be able to read, read, read, and read so much that i never tire of it
today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern today Iâm going to break the pattern
I want yâall to understand that things not working out is a blessing too
Biggest blessing sometimes.
Scarcity mindset in daily habits looks like:
Hoarding items just in case
Avoiding opportunities out of fear of losing
Overthinking every small purchase
Saying that you canât more than âhow can I?â
Comparing constantly to others
Clinging to toxic relationships out of fear of being alone
Saving things for a special occasion that never comes
Always choosing the cheapest option, even when it costs more long term
Refusing to delegate or ask for help
Believing thereâs never enough time, money, or love (you are the love)
Obviously, if youâre on an extremely tight budget, these shifts can help start retraining your mind out of scarcity:
Practice gratitude every day :)
Replace âI canât afford thisâ with âHow can I make this possible?â. If you donât have it then take control and figure out what you need to fix to be able to do so
Declutter and donate what you donât use
Invest small amounts in your growth (a book, a class, a new skill)
Celebrate every little thing you do because youâre amazing and everything you do matters
Spend on experiences, not just things
Reframe expenses as investments when they create long term value
Allow yourself small luxuries without guilt (a pretty candle, fresh flowers)
Set future goals & visualize abundance (align yourself and work on them too)
Share or give, even in small ways
The price you pay for ignoring your gut feeling is very expensive
Discernment is when you donât have to reach the end of a lesson to learn it.
if you can and want to, go to college when youâre 30. move out at 40. learn to drive at 50. life is short but it is also so long. itâs not too late to do new things.
I met my husband when I was 42. I started loving myself, and life, when I was 46. I got a mortgage and 'bought' a house when I was 50. I'm 56. I'm just getting started. It is never, never too late.
I am 71.5 and finished my doctorate in my late 50s. Now have been studying Spanish and piano for many years.
