"oh if volo talked to laventon after the giratina fight and told him everything why did he just let him go" because volo is someone laventon considered a friend ( regardless of whether or not the sentiment was mutual, ) and he wanted to be there for him. he wanted to understand his plight as best he could, even if he didn't necessarily succeed. the situation would've been entirely different if the protag had been harmed -- but they weren't, and volo was leaving anyway ;; laventon thought it best not to hassle him further, especially because volo HAD come to him to speak before he went on his way.

he really, truly isn't angry with volo. a bit perturbed, perhaps, that he would put a child's life in danger -- but not angry. if anything, he's a bit saddened by it all. but he wanted to support volo when he came to him, and he would still if he ever saw him again.

if you're able to confidently wield pokémon in battle you immediately become one of the most fascinating people in the world to laventon btw. it doesn't matter if it's the god of space itself or just you and your lvl 3 caterpie against the world, he admires your bravery and will cheer you on 'till the end of time. and also tell him about your pokémon please please please he's taking notes
