He had felt this before, this feeling of utter anxiety, and dread, a peaceful moment, with a thick tenseness, he had felt this before, and he wasn’t ready to feel it again, he could see how the NPC’s stared at the people who didn’t look normal, or like them, Francis, could somehow disguise himself, after all, he had a human-like visage, but he wasn’t a human.
A smile crossed his features, a stressed smile, a smile that was a thin coverage for the inner meltdown he was feeling, the streets, people were yelling, it was chaos, total and utter chaos, he had felt this before, as he was forcefully thrown off the monarchy, now, he would be thrown out of the spot of a mere civilian in this city, for being a mere Frenchman with too much troubles.
“Aha... How noisy, it feels nostalgic, i wish it was the good kind.”
He touched his neck again, unconsciously, where the terribly visibly markings that the person that he hoped, oh how he hoped, was behind at him at this moment, laughing at him for being such an idiot, but that person wasn’t there to scold him, or to be simply there, and he did certainly need that, despite how cheesy it seemed to sound on his trouble filled mind.
He wished his legs weren’t shaking this much, his teeth weren’t clenched together, and that his smile was real, he was absolutely terrified of this, of this whole situation, it hit too hard to home, almost scarily hard, it didn’t help that he was nervous, alone, and had a permanent feeling of melancholy in this city, but despite everything, he grew to love this city, even when it was on fire, or not, he still loved it, and so, he couldn’t stand still.
“...As a nation---” He yet, still spoke to himself, more than to reassure himself, to be sure of what he was doing. “...I have to protect this nation, no matter the cost, even if it means... My life, this isn’t the real world, i need to take this seriously.”
“...I just sounded really cool there! Aw, i wish there was someone who could write it, but oh well, what can i do, hm?~”
At least his acting, or when he acted that he was fine, was strong, stronger than his shaking, and hesitation as he walked down to the base floor.
