Everyday someone judges you based on your non-verbal communication; for example your body language. Like the old saying actions speak louder than words , what you do and how you carry your self affects how others perceive you and even judge you. Simply cleaning up and smiling can really change how your days flow and even how you are approached.

This chapter has taught me the 5 “C”’s to maintain effective written communications skills. These skill help prevent confusion that is normally represented through body language. Sarcasm and joking remarks normally do not transfer well in written communication.

In order to succeed in a business environment you have to be in control of your emotions . When you get angry you lose control of your self-awareness and it will only escalate the problem. Knowing how to calmly disarm a conflict takes emotional intelligence. Without this problems with disgruntled customers can cause havoc in the work place as well as possibly lead to losing your job. Staying calm and focus on defusing the situation is the one of the hardest parts of customer service.

Preparing for an interview is an important step in obtaining a job. Stumbling over some of these questions will show the employer that your not prepared to take the job or given them the time they are about to offer you. Not only is it important to be prepared for questions the employer may ask you should prepare a few questions yourself. This shows interest , knowledge and can help answer anything you may have not understood.

Stress Management

The best thing I can say about managing your stress is to avoid negativity. Negatively thinking leads to negative reactions and negative results. As to say its not the stress that kills us but our response and reaction to it. By practicing mindfulness you can be more aware of your emotions and better curve them into a positive reflection of the situation at hand. While this the most important thing to me other tips for managing daily stress is to treat your body right , eat well , have a regular exercise routine and LAUGH more.

Can You Trust Your Team Members

The number one thing i feel is an important part of teamwork is trust. You have to be able to trust the people on your team to "pull their weight" , or get their part of the job right. Not having trust can also lead to mishaps and unneeded negativity and unneeded problems. Trust can and will make or break a team.

This is very important for today’s workforce. This is how you can tell the difference between poor management from professional management.

I am a strong believer in this. In this day and age the natural laws of the land are changing to accept more diversity in workplaces. I feel my tattoos are a reflection of self and an artistic story with each piece of art having its own tell. Most formal business dress codes will probably ask for them to be covered while at work , while other are not. 50 years ago it wasn't accepted at all , people discriminated and shunned people with them , even at points degrading their values as humans. People are people first and to say someone is not competent on the basis of their tattoo solely is normally a loss on their company. I feel a company with a strong diversity can build stronger relationships. I would really like to hear some other comments on my opinions. Feel free to re-blog ,or even ask questions .    ,

I’m going to call a spade a spade.  Smartphones have this uncanny ability to make even the most intelligent person look stupid.  It’s flabbergasting to me when I think about all of the incredible technological advancements that have been made in this world, but then, it is ultimately the keyboard of a smartphone that makes people look like they either never passed 3rd grade grammar class or have some really fat thumbs.  Admittedly, while this might not seem like a big deal to many, at least when talking to friends through electronic means, the fact remains that texting presents a virtual grammatically incorrect minefield—especially in regard to handling business.
