In 1970, Sir Ian McKellen and James Laurenson made history with a kiss in a filmed production of “Edward II”
In 1969, Sir Ian McKellen and James Laurenson starred in a production of Christopher Marlowe’s classic Renaissance play Edward II as part of the Prospect Theatre Company. The production would lead to the first gay kiss to be shown on television in the U.K. Edward II is one of the earliest English history plays. A contemporary and rival of William Shakespeare, Marlowe dramatized the ill-fated king’s reign and highlighted his relationship with one of his “favourites,” Piers Gaveston, an English nobleman who was rumoured to be his lover.

June 17, 1942: The new organization called “Records for our Fighting Men” dramatized its drive to collect some 37,000,000 used, scratched, and old records lying in American attics and cellars. They were sold to record manufacturers as scrap and the proceeds used to buy new records, which were shipped to service camps. Metropolitan Opera stars Salvatore Bacoalon and Suzanne Stens, are shown making a recording in an antique cornucopia horn into which the great Caruso actually recorded. The session was held at the apartment of conductor Fritz Reiner.

big if true tbh
looking it up, apparently this was an artist who made signs like this to parody the actual city council's signage, just told apart by his logo in the corner, "christchurch city confusion", and they had locals rly confused for a bit. my favorite is this one!

When the coarse/rough feeling of leg hair starts getting to me on a sensory level, since I refuse to shave or wax my legs due to approximately all reasons ranging from dysphoria to sensitive skin issues to who has the time to Fuck That Bullshit, I apply: beard butter.
It's made for moisturizing and softening--basically conditioning--coarse hair, as well as the skin, without leaving weird residue.
They come in a wide variety of brands, ingredients, and pricepoints, I won't even begin to make a suggestion, but yes it is different than beard balm or beard oil.
Since it's going on legs, which means both less sensitive skin and much greater surface area than a beard, I recommend going for quantity over quality and getting something cheap.
It doesn't give you that dolphin smoothness, but it does make your legs feel nice and soft, and doesn't have the consequence of being extra prickly and itchy later. It might be especially good for people who are making the brave leap from shaving to not shaving.
you can also condition your leg hair with hair conditioner
This sketch is incredible. Perfect moment to capture. 10/10 for the artist.
