This hidden gem of Japan is called Kameiwa Cave and is located within Shimizu Keiryu Park in Chiba Prefecture. In autumn the cave is framed by beutiful reds, yellows and oragnes.

Our personal tip: gift some chocolate from your country to the flight attendants.
We bought some chocolate from our coubtry to the flight attendandts to enjoy through our 10+ hour flight. They were sooo delighted that was a bit mivibg to see. They gave us this goodie bag and invited me to take photos of mount Fuji as we approached Tokyo.
We got the mini towels that I am so delighted to get, a balloon, the signature scent of the airline and some (very tasty) chocolate - in a gift bag.
Always be kind to the flight attendants, always. They are working hard for your safety (!!) and your convenience.
Tell me you are travelling to Japan without telling me you are travelling to Japan. :)

I find Drew's video sooo cute. He visited the Tokyo Penshow and shares his experiences: what he found awesome, weird and fun.
TOKYO, JAPAN
We recommend to stay in more residential areas to experience the "everyday Japan" as well. I love these vibes just as much as visiting main attractions.
If you are not into religious sites it still worth to pay a visit to Kamakura and enjoy the beach. The sunset is really pretty.
If you have time we recommend to check out Kamakura. Try to stay away from the very touristy main streets though.
We visited the Kencho-ji head temple where you can find a lot of interesting things:
Sanmon (the Main Gate) - completed in 1775
Dharma Hall - the largest wooden structure in the Kento region
Garden of Hojo - just look at that picture
Jizo Bodhisattva - from the 15th century.
.. and many more!
This was our first time in a China Town. I love the vibe and the food was really good. We did not go to a sitdown restaurant, but this way we could try out more things: soup dumplings, sesame rice balls filled with stuff, a bao and a boba tea.
I loved this letter to the visitors and the messages they left.
We went to Yokohama for this. Okay, and for the food in China Town, but mainly for this.
They have shows like in every 30 minutes (?) and they rotate between 2-3 versions. Between shows you can take photos, check out the shop and the memory wall so you can do several surprisingly fun stuff. I do not think it is worth to pay extra for the observation deck.
No Japanese trip is complete without checking out Akihabara and checking out anime merchandize.
We came across these mini "exhibitions" from the Trash Taste Special.
For all those people who do not like (raw) fish, some tips on what to eat:
soup curry (Sapporo specialty)
korma curry
katsu curry
pork cutlets (various cuts)
ramen.
And ANYTHING from a convenience store.
