Before Suicidal’s first album debuted in 1983, the band had earned a heavy rep in Los Angeles for the violence that seemed to follow them around.

The readers of Flipside Magazine voted them Worst Band and Biggest Assholes in 1982 based on their reputation alone. The next year In 1983, after their classic debut album was released, they were named Best New Band in the same Flipside poll.
