âA half-devil?â she whispered, the words falling from her lips in an attempt at verification, a small sting flowering in her chest as her brows furrowed and curiosity took her over. She knew that what sheâd say next would sound ridiculous, butâŚshe felt she needed confirmation. âThere are more?â
And then she was silent, mulling about Trishâs invitation in her brain, shifting her weight, crossing and uncrossing her arms. To tag along or not to tag along, that was certainly the question. Continue to converse with the blonde or not. A small sigh left her and she met her eyes, giving her a sharp nod.
âI am not good with other people. IâŚhavenât had much interaction with others in a long time,â she warned, her brows furrowing when she then realized that sheâd answered the latter of her words only, skipping over the former. She bit her lip at that - how rude.Â
But as she thought about it now, perhaps sheâd snapped at her when it was undeserved. Her explanation was understanding and needed. Traveling on her own, running from and slaying the demons that hunted her, she could find comfort in her words, no matter how empty her gauge of trust in this woman was. Perhaps theyâd build on that, she thought with a small roll of her shoulders.
âI appreciate that,â she stated simply. running her fingers through her hair. âLead the way.â
A soft smile stained her pout and she inclined her head. âYes there are others. Iâm not sure how many.â Her shoulders rolled back and she tilted her head to the side, getting a better look at Bianca now that she didnât have possibly dangerous elements dancing around her hands. âYou donât need to be good with people, we can help you with that if you want, though.â Her shoulders shrugged and her head tilted back up right. âWell, Dante can, Iâm a little rusty myself.â She added with a small laugh, ivory digits reaching to comb through blonde tresses.
âWell, if youâre ready, letâs be on our way.â She pointed her thumb over her shoulder, the direction they would have to go if they wanted to get to Capulet. âWhere are we right now anyway? Is this Fortuna or...?â The she-devil tilted her head to the side, she had a wonderful sense of direction, but crawling up from the depths of hell wasnât exactly good for oneâs sense of geography.Â
Hopefully they werenât much further away than she thought they were, she was tired after all. âEither way, we really need to get moving. Iâm worried that something might be following me and I donât have the energy to deal with that right now.â Her hand waved in dismissal. Â Â Â
