Brendan’s eyes were full of life as he stared at the brightly colored tasty looking cupcakes being presented to him. Today was a wonderful day in Brendan’s mind. He would have eaten a couple of the cupcakes right then and there but her words reminded him of business. Oh,right, he was here to help pokemon get adopted to good homes. She didn’t seem to have any particular types in mind, which meant he’ll get pick out a few to show her.
“Thanks for the birthday wishes! Traveling? I believe I know a few pokemon that could fit that for you. There is a female Lapras that was rescued from poachers over in the pool section for water pokemon. Then were was that Excadril that was too aggressive be put back into the wild, but he is a really strong battler. Then there is a Hawluncha that had training being a service pokemon and bodyguard.” He turned to lead the way to the pokemon he described.
“Oh where are my manners, I’m Brendan as you know. May I ask your name miss?”
The cupcakes were all his— really, he could eat them right now, and she would not bat an eye. Of course, she would instead be concerned over him possibly choking if he were to attempt as they walked and conversed. It would not be good if their first meeting would include that as one of its a terrible highlights.
She pondered over his choices in the meantime. The Lapras would be a good choice, being a Water Type that could learn Surf. The Excadril, however, she might have to pass, since she wasn’t exactly in the battling scene. He might not enjoy her lax pace, too. As for the Hawluncha— well, she didn’t quite need a service Pokemon or a bodyguard. So it seemed the first option would be her main choice.
“As I know,” she repeated, with some humor in her tone. He was quite well-mannered. That was good. “Please, there is no need for formalities with me, Sir Brendan. My name is Tatiana— it is nice to meet you.”
