fuck when ke$ha sung about timber she was singing about us
Slaine doesn’t know much when it comes to casinos though but he believes that the time frame of this cruise done is at the best time. Today is a very special event and he knows enough about it to know what to do. He knows the room number of where his younger brother is resting since he’s asked many a time if he could room with him. A small kitten follows after him with a photo of a young female, this is to ensure that Lelouch wakes up because for some reason, it’s like a radar for him? Who knows.
The male turns the knob of Jin’s room door, hoping that Noboru is gone because that would be embarrassing. Honestly, the young male wants to have fun with his brother on his special day, and what’s better than surprising him and taking him some place where he’ll enjoy it? In Slaine’s hands is a purple party hat (considering back in his day, this is how they started it) and a few streamers. He doesn’t click on the light since he’s contemplating about blowing the party horn first and throwing them up.
But God isn’t on his side when the light flicks on and there’s Lelouch, with a mad glint in his eye as if he’s been awaken from his rest and god, is he looking at the the young kitten? Whatever happens here is a total accident as he’s knocked into when he’s so sure the other is after the feline in which Slaine falls onto the bed where Jin is possibly sleeping? The streamers are thrown up and he blows the horn in a short lived manner since he’s trying to avoid the cat jumping on him with Nunnally’s picture.
"H.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY."
This is where he holds out a party hat to both of them. WE ONLY WEAR THE PURPLE ONES ‘ROUND HERE. Please god, free all of them.
{ ✦ } — Though the day coincides with the week of cruising on Gaen's, Jin had only really mentioned his birthday once or twice to Slaine, just as an introductory sort of thing. But once or twice had been enough, because even though Jin tends to sleep lightly, Yamigitsune greets Slaine at the now-open door instead, giving the blond boy a wave, and Jin shoves messy blankets aside to sit up in his bed, still blinking sleep from his eyes. (Noboru's somewhere in the boat, having dashed out the door several hours ago already — something about freed zoo animals? Them free?)
What startles Jin more than his brother's presence is his dad's, who seems to have already been standing in the room for quite some time now — Jin's a bit offended, that his Buddy hadn't woken him up to give his father a proper greeting, but right now doesn't seem to be the time, either, with the frightening aura radiating from Lelouch altogether. And then Slaine jumps into his bed, and there's kittens awake and active and running everywhere, and it's too much to take in three minutes into consciousness, but he knows one thing: that his brother is here to wish him a happy birthday—
—even if it ends up with Slaine blowing horns and scrambling up into his bed, trying vainly to escape from their father's watchful gaze (and Jin lets him, since it's roomy enough). Pushing loose strands of hair from his face and adjusting the party hat on his head (he'd just been woken up, after all), the first thing that Jin does is laugh — kindly, gratefully; it's rare for true gratitude to be written across his expression, like this. "Slaine, you know dad gets upset, when you carry that picture around like that," he comments, but his tone is light-hearted, and the wide smile on his face doesn't seem like it'll fade, any time soon.
Turning towards Lelouch, now, "I didn't take you for a party sort of guy. But thanks for showing up extra early, you know! Means a lot." Briefly, he pauses, glancing at the triumphant cat that now sits at the foot of the bed, the corner of the photo in its mouth. "But, do you ever plan on telling us who that lady is? I mean, if she's someone important for you, then, well... let's just say, there's something I could do for you."
