As she looks for advice about that business opportunity, she notices that Lumiose City is full of other lesbians—and they're all total weirdos.

Lebanne just can't get Jacinthe's confession off her mind. She wants to accept—to admit that she likes Jacinthe, too. She isn't kidding herself about that—not anymore. But she can't untangle that feeling of like from her other feelings on Jacinthe: Admiration. Gratitude. Envy. Frustration. At least, not without taking some time to reflect on just what her place is in this city she calls home.

Harmony can beat Jacinthe in a full battle—something Lebanne still hasn't done. But Griselle? Foul-mouthed, grumpy, ex-fascist barista Griselle? When I started writing Food Chain, I didn't know about PlayRoughShipping Week 2026, but ended up seeing adverts for it on tumblr and decided I wanted to participate at least a little! I've mentioned a lot of my ZA headcanons in comment replies on Food Chain already, and I've even mentioned wanting to maybe write one-shots set during or after the game and DLC, so I decided to accelerate those plans. This short one-shot explores some of those headcanons a little—hope y'all enjoy!

only just learned about #playroughweek2026 after seeing your ads while lurking and scrolling the lebanne tag, but i'm looking forward to hopefully seeing a bunch of content!!
i wrote a playroughshipping fic, Food Chain, which has 2 chapters of 7 out now and which will still be posting on ao3 (updates every Tuesday and Saturday until it's all published!) during Playroughshipping Week. It's a trans!Lebanne eggfic prologue to Legends Z-A exploring how Lebanne met Jacinthe, ended up working for her, and realized she was a woman (in that order lol). There's also at least 1 Pokémon battle per chapter! So it definitely touches on the themes of "firsts", "with Pokémon", and "changes" from the prompt list. And it's arguably a "reversal" fic most of all, with Lebanne's life ending up pretty upside down from where it started by the end! if anyone is interested i hope they check it out <3
