New OC open rp!! Idk what to do 💔

A new soldier sits in the common room with black, digital looking mask over his face, strapped around and covered by their face. The soldier seems to be tinkering with a little box in front of them, some small gadgets beside them like a watch and a light box from a goggle kit. They lean down, black compression shirt covering their chest, and a dark brown leather jacket over their back and arms.

Their bottom half is covered by the table, but their boots have a small yellow stitch line on the sole, Doc Martin shoes for sure. Silently, they get up and take their stuff, walking to the kitchen and looking under the stove light at one of the pieces. "Mm..." They grunt and lean closer, digital mask showing a frowning face and furrowed brows, still unaware of the soldier beside them.

Android lays limp in her arms, medics rushing from seeing the blood and taking both of them to the medbay. They pump Android with all these vitamins and send them to the OR to repair the vocal cords (or what remains) and come back with a bandage over their neck. They're weak and exhausted, napping through the entire day and resting with Cheryl in the room alongside their healing journey. It takes a full month for Android to even sit up, so weak and sore from their panic, lack of sleep, and skinny body from not eating. They sit slowly, slouched over and fiddling with the feeding tube in silence, hands clinging to Cheryl's as they can't even sign or communicate.

Cheryl gently pets their hair, holding them close. They think about Jake, her brother, and what happened. She just settles into them, braiding the small strands of their hair.

Android keeps silent as always, hands twitching as Cheryl braids their hair. Soon, they fall asleep sat up, kind of like how the horses sleep standing. Android wakes to being crowded by more medics, Cheryl pushed away from them as their bed is moved off to surgery again. Android returns to consciousness after a week of being pushed into a medical coma so the brain can regenerate and rest. Their head pounds when they try to talk, making a low groan that shocks them. They try again, mumbling a low 'What..?' That comes out croaky and sore, but- But it comes out!! They can speak!!"

Cheryl is shook, moving closer, "Andy, you can talk!"

Android looks to Cheryl and smiles wide, hands covering their mouth. It's- Weird. The medics hear a scuffle and explain Android had their cords replaced with a donor, and they're able to speak now. However therapy and constant examinations were required. Android nods and tries again, smiling wide. "Cher...Cheryl.." They beam and cup her face lightly, cold hands on her warm skin.

She grins, hugging them. "You have a beautiful voice, beautiful like your face." She sighs, burying against them. "So happy your alive... and can tell the tale yourself."

Android cries out and clings to Cheryl, dangling off the edge of the bed with a sob. "Speak.." They mumble and cry harder, small croaks coming.

"Yeah," she grins, pulling them closer than physically possible.

It takes ages for Android to recover, a little less than a year with all the therapy and exams. Now, Cheryl was in their barracks helping them speak, holding some little cards witj pictures and words.

"Alrighty, how about this?" she holds up a card with a cat on it.

Android stares and thinks, signing `cat` and thinking. "Mmm.." They mumble and fiddle with their lips. "Ca...Cat.."

Cheryl nods, grinning, before picking up poor innocent bystander Fergie, "How about this sweet baby?"

Android beams and pats Fergie, grunting out. "Ferg- Ferg.." That seems to be all they can get out, smiling at Fergie and coddling their baby. "Cat.. Ferg..ie.."

"Hey nice," Cheryl grins, "you got the 'ie' thing." She hands over Fergie, looking through the easy deck. They'd done all the card at that point.

Android cuddles up to Fergie and pats her, loud meows ringing in the room. They wave a hand to Cheryl and sign. `Two? Doctor said done, move level`.

She nods, grabbing the next deck. She gets to work, shuffling like a dealer, before hold up 'gasp'.

Android thinks for a little, mouth opening as they try. "Ga...Gasp." Then they mock a little gasp, hands pressing onto their cheeks.

You chuckle, "So dramatic," she tucks it back in, holding up 'choice'.

Android frowns and lets Fergie go away, brows furrowed at the card. Their hands move up to their lips, chewing on their finger in thought. "Mmm.." They shrug, a little embarrassed at not knowing how to say it.

Cheryl just mouths it out with her own lips, "Ch... oi... ce. Like that. Choice."

"Ch.." Android tries and stares at her lips, trying to get it. "Choi.." They focus and get her to do it so many times, eyes watering more and more as they keep failing. Then, Android smacks the cards and angrily signs `Cant` at Cheryl, crying and shaking.

She sighs, pulling them into her arms instead. "It's alright, these things take time, m'kay. Not to fret you've got time."

Android nods weakly and holds onto her, making little sniffles and grunts. "Mm.." They move back and sign 'frustrating' to Cheryl, then move back into the hug. "N..Need.." They stumble out and think. "Mm.. Ki.." They light poke Cheryl, then move back to see her face and repeating those two letters. "Ki.." Android cups her face and hopes she understands, eyes watering slowly now.

She smiles, grabbing their face and giving them a kiss. She wraps her arms around them, grinning.

Android makes a happy noise against her lips, leaning back a little against the bed. "Cud.." They pull back and pat the bed, signing `cuddle`.

She nods, settling in next to them. She nestles in, getting comfortable, as she peppers Android in kisses.

Android smiles and wriggles happily against her kisses, laying flat on the bed with her on top. They jokingly push away and smile, letting out a small laugh and freezing. They look terrified, almost like they'd never heard their own laugh. `What noise?` They sign with wide eyes.

"That, is your beautiful little laugh," Cheryl grins, pulling them closer, "It's what happens when you find something funny, or when you're losing it."

Android smiles a little and tries to make the noise again, but deciding to tickle Cheryl to hear hers. "You- You noise-" They grunt and tickle her sides, smiling softly.

She cackles, squirming, "Evil, evil bastard!" She tries escaping but is only dragged back, kicking and screaming, "MERCY!"

Android stops and smiles, tapping her throat. "Lau.." They try saying 'laugh', struggling on the end part. "Laugh..?"

"Yeah," Cheryl grins, "Laugh. Laughter and laughing. That's what it sounds like."

Android does a little nod before getting her attention. "You laaaughhh..? I laugh..?" They tap their own throat, moreso a question if Cheryl could make them laugh.

"Oh absolutely," she grins, "By telling you how much of an ass you are. So mean, so cruel to poor innocent meeeee~!" She warbles, fainting dramatically. She falls off the bed, "Ow, Jeez, I blame you."

Android makes a concerned noise and dangles off the bed, concerned about her head. "Mmm-" They whine and shuffle off the bed, laying on top of her in silence, kind of trapping her in a sense. "Stop.." They mumble and feel her heartbeat, just chilling on her.

She lets them, grinning, "You're like a compression blanket thing. I like it."

"Heeeaaa.." They try, pushing back and siting on her stomach to remember the word. "Heav.. Heavy?" They shrug and lay back down. "You.. Me laugh?"

"Dunno," she thinks for a moment, "Laughs are incredibly natural occurrences. I could use one of those lame kissing lines."

Android jokingly panicks and yelps, mouth parted in fake terror. "No!" They let out a little giggle, smiling wider at that and continuing to laugh. Android just keeps laughing over and over, gasping for air and beaming right at Cheryl.

Cheryl just grins, looking up at them lovingly, "You're so damn cute when you laugh."

They smile again, tapping her lips in question before getting confirmation and kissing her back. Android wriggles on the floor, pushing up and getting back onto the bed. "Up- Up.." They help her and continue the kissing when Cheryl returns back up.

Cheryl grins, pressing her lips against theirs warmly, letting the feeling seep in.

Android keeps still, hands holding her cheeks as they just lightly kiss, moving back for air every now and then. "Mm-" Android pauses and pants heavy, head dipping down to her neck. However they don't move or kiss, not even lick the skin. They just pant heavy and whine, like they're in pain of some sorts?

She raises a brow, patting their hair, "You alright, Andy?"

Android squirms and nods slowly, peppering her face with kisses like nothing happened. "Mm... Yes.." They mumble and gently rub their scar mark, blinking heavy (a sign they're in pain). "Pain.." They mumble again, showing Cheryl but nothing seems wrong. Probably from talking a lot today? The doctors did say to refrain from constant speech within the first year of healing to allow proper growth, but- It could just be that.

Cheryl nods, "Yeah, we should probably switch back to sign for the day, yeah? Maybe nap it off." She gently inspects the area, making sure everything's alright. "Rest."

"Mm.." Android nods and sits up, then shuffles off to the bathroom for a little while, coming back and immediately cuddling up to Cheryl with whines and sniffles. "Hurts..." They croak against her neck, curled on the side and clinging onto her.

"I know, I know," she pats their back, "just take a breath, yeah?"

In the silence, Android falls asleep quite fast and comfortably, mumbling a little phrase before they succumbed to the slumber. "Mm, luh'yah.." They mumble and press a gentle kiss to her neck, making a small wriggle before sleeping.

She grins, "Love you, too." She sighs, settling in and falling asleep under them.

Android wakes after a short while and sits upright, feeling a little off. Within seconds Andy flies off the bed and sprints to the bathroom, vomiting up their last meal with a loud noise of discomfort, hand smacking on the wall to wake Cheryl. "Che- Love!" They croak out and kneel down, crying from a mix of fear and pain, but never talking too much.

Cheryl shoots up, following afterwards, "Jesus." She dials the medics immediately.

Vomit!!

Android keeps throwing up violently, spitting into the sink and whimpering. "Mmmm..." They wash their mouth out and cling to Cheryl with a sorry face, sniffling.

"It's okay, it's okay," she pats them gently, "deep breathes."

Android was in the mechanics zone as they called it, working on a car's bonnet, almost half in the car's hood to fix a bulb. Their arms were covered in a yellow oil, and a little bit of their mask* on the bottom parts. They duck down further, arms taken whole by the car's insides, and they make breathy noises of annoyance, almost dropping their tool when a voice jolts them out of their trance.

(Android working himself to the bone, in Cheryl's quarters, her bed and Android trying to get away to go back 2 working)

"No.." They grumble and look away, pushing the food away and trying to get up. "Work- Need.." Android wriggles away subtly, wanting to go back to working for Price.

She just sighs, pinching the bridge of you nose, "Break now, or I will chain you to this bed myself."

(Android and Cheryl had a little kiss, Cheryl saying a funny phrase and Android jokingly freaks out. They shuffle back to one another and Android peppers kisses onto her face.)

Android huffs a little, still peppering kisses but slowing down after like 30 seconds of it. Then, their eyes droop low and they splat onto Cheryl's chest unconsious, heart monitors beeping loudly and blood pressure quite low.

Cheryl chuckles, laying them back, "I guess I just take your breath away, huh?" You call in the medic to help with the low bp.

Android's body trembles slightly, probably some kind of reaction at the low blood pressure. In a short time medics come in and tend to Android, hooking them up to a few more machines and telling Cheryl they aren't allowed out of the bed unless it's for emergencies or trips to the bathroom. Showers, too.

She nods, taking a mental note. They leave with a nod, and she takesa seat by Albie's side again. She sighs, head in her hand.

Android wakes quietly, not uttering a noise as they stare at Cheryl, before lightly reaching a hand out to her, soft breath noises filling the air. They make a grumble and wiggle their hand, oxygen mask pushing air into their lungs. `Cheryl` They sign, technically saying 'Love' but.. Sign name.

She lifts her head, "Hey Android." She smiles, patting their shoulder.

Android rolls to their side and stares at Cheryl, a little frown on their scarred face. `Okay?` Android signs, adjusting the mask put on to help, seeming worried for Cheryl.

She smiles and waves it off, "Yeah, yeah.. I'm fine. Just got paperwork to do and all that." She sighs, "Doc says you can't get out of bed."

Android makes a hefty frown at that, rolling back to their original spot while playing with a bit of her hair. Then they stop and give her a light tap, meant to be a smack but their too weak. Android weakly complains, hands shaking so they give up and stare at some of the machines while poking at them.

She sighs, looking up finally, "Yes?"

Android looks at Cheryl and tries to sign, hands shaking and slightly aching as they close their eyes and drop the hands in the air. They roll away with shaking shoulders, crying from frustration.

She sighs, gently patting their shoulder.

Android shrugs it off, picking at one of the sticky pads on his chest hooked to a monitor, signing `Off` over and over to Cheryl.

"Absolutely not, Andy," she sighs, patting them, "They have to stay on."

`Pain` They sign with a frown, breathing slow with the oxygen mask still on, but hands picking at the adhesive and the red skin around it.

She sighs, resigning to help them remove it.

Android picks at it and flinches as the monitors beep, putting it back onto their chest with a scared look. `On` They sign and sit up, pointing to the small bag with some clothes. `Blue` a small gesture follows of pulling a hood over, wanting their navy blue hoodie.

Cheryl nods, grabbing it for them. They careful help them pull it on, tying it like a cape so that the nurses don't have to struggle with it if another accident occurs.

Android hugs around it and sniffs the familiar cologne scent, legs curled up as they fiddle with the string.

Cheryl smiles softly, pressing a kiss to their head.

Android gives her one back, a light peck on her nose as their monitor mildly speeds up, face a soft pinky tinge.

She chuckles, looking at them lovingly, "Careful, you're gonna pass out again."

Android just smiles and fans themselves with both hands, looking at Cheryl. `How you think I'm good look?` They sign, a small frown at the topic change.

She shrugs, "Guess I feel for your rugged, torturable, author's punching bag charm." She grins, sighing dreamily. She pretends to swoon.

Android looks a little confused, head tilting and a frown on their face. `What? Author?` They sign and furrrow their brows, hands dropping to their lap.

"Oh, nobody in particular, just in general. If you did have one," she grins, "Like how if I had one, they'd find more and more ways to kill me and have me soul bonded to a guy. Heh, imagine that."

Android listens with a small nod, slow and confused before signing to Cheryl with a straight face. `You crazy.`

She sighs sadly, "So many people tell me that."

`Yes` Android nods and raises their eyebrows, lightly pinching her neck to test something.

She was stunned for a moment, "what the hell was that for?"

`Test` They sign and pinch themselves, huffing. `Tired. Sleep?` Android signs and pats the bed, giving her their best attempt of puppy eyes.

"I'm fine, but sure," she doesn't waste a second settling next to them, with her own puppy eyes.

Android clings to Cheryl's side, curled up with a leg hooked over hers and their cold hands on her stomach. They fall asleep for a while and wake up around dinner, sitting slowly to find Cheryl outside talking, holding a little bag with Price outside, checking up on Android and giving some more clothes from their barracks. "Yeah.. Make sure he's okay." He... Android grunts and flips Price off at the wrong word, staring him down.

Cheryl gives Price a good talking down to, and a flick in the face, which she can get away with because she has Shepherd whipped. Then she come back in with the clothes and things. "For you."

Android weakly takes the bag and peers inside, smiling at some of the stuff. Inside the bag was a pair of their pyjamas, a small bottle of tea, a container of chicken soup, and some small clothes underneath it all.

Cheryl nods at the haul, "Props to the guy for bringing anything at all, i suppose."

Android nods again, putting the bag down and yawning, going back to sleep after a while.

Cheryl watches them sleep, making sure they don't die on her. An ancient tradition she read about somewhere. Made sense.

They wake the next morning, exhausted and ridden to the bone.

Android finally gets discharged a few weeks later, back in the halls. Cheryl is glad that they're okay, and help them rehanilitate their body. Right now, they're grabbing food in the mess hall.

Android's stance was a little wobbly, but they kept putting food on their plate, sitting with Cheryl as they eat and sign, mouth covered as they chew. Not that they were embarrassed or shy, just that it was disgusting to see their cheek hole chewing up food.

Cheryl chats with them, digging into her food as well. She strectches for a moment, twisting and getting the most satifying crack. "Holy shit, you hear that?"

Android nods and puts their knuckles out, cracking them so loud it sounds like a gunshot. They curl up at the sudden yells, shying away and hiding.

"Oh, come out, Andy," she coaxes, "There ain't nothing to be 'friad 'bout."

Android smiles and pops one of their shoulders, patting her head at the nickname. `Like Andy.` They sign, smiling to Cheryl.

"Well good, because I'll be calling you that a lot," she grins, "Nice pop by the way, quite loud."

`Gun` They say and smile, a little red-faced. Then, Android cracks another shoulder, then stretches like Cheryl and makes a similar crack to hers.

She nods, solemnly, "If all of us cracked out bones right now, we'd definately trigger a PTSD attack."

Android nods and keeps eating their lunch, a hand holding the tray still.

Cheryl picks at her food, before looking up. She sees Price walking around in the mess. She immediately turns hostile and passive agressive to him, staring him down.

Android also watches him close, but trusting Cheryl to protect them as they eat.

Price saunders closer and closer, holding a file before putting it on the table, a sticky note over it.

'4 Android - Report for new mission, Price'

Cheryl rolls her eyes, "Great, another all nighter, huh? You ever sleep, Price?"

Android grumbles and gets up, walking off with no explanation to anything. They just leave their tray and food, not coming back after a whole hour.

Cheryl glares at Price, letting Android be a lone for a little while before going to find them.

Android was in their room, curled up on their desk chair busting their ass off to finish the report as if it was a ticking time bomb. Like it would explode if they didn't work fast enough. Android doesn't even look up when Cheryl walks in (because they gave her a mock key).

She raises a brow as she walks in, "Jesus, Andy, you're moving like a bullet train."

They nod and keep working, legs curled to their chest with a dizzy gaze, pausing for 5 seconds before going back to writing.

She sighs, sitting across from them and keeping an eye on them so they don't hurt themselves.

They seem to almost never stop the entire time, and nothing veers them from working. Hand cramps? Wave it off or switch hands. Stomach grumbling loudly because they haven't eaten or drunk much? Too bad, keep working. Head spinning and nausea? Five second break, back to work.

It was almost like they're running themselves to the ground, curled up and writing like a speed machine, all because of one report? That can't be good for them. The chair they sit on is a little stool, too, so it's a perfect space to hook under their arms and pull them away.

Exactly what Cheryl does during a 5 second break of theres, just yoinks them away. "Yeah, nope, we're not doing this. You fight me on this, and I kill you myself. Jesus." She leaves the office with them in tow, heading to her quarters. She sets them down, tossing some of their favorite snacks and a bottle of water on the bed next to them.

"Noooo.." Android complains the whole way there, whining and trying to protest. "Work!" They push against the doorway, but giving up after a while and some sharp Cheryl glares. They sit against the bed head and push the stuff away, being a stubborn bitch about Cheryl helping.

"Christ, you massive baby," Cheryl sighs, settling into the bed next to them. She groan, putting her head in her hands. After a while, she looks up at them, "you've worked enough, give it a rest."

She sighs, gently patting their shoulder.

Android shrugs it off, picking at one of the sticky pads on his chest hooked to a monitor, signing `Off` over and over to Cheryl.

"Absolutely not, Andy," she sighs, patting them, "They have to stay on."

`Pain` They sign with a frown, breathing slow with the oxygen mask still on, but hands picking at the adhesive and the red skin around it.

She sighs, resigning to help them remove it.

Cheryl nods, grabbing it for them. They careful help them pull it on, tying it like a cape so that the nurses don't have to struggle with it if another accident occurs.

Android hugs around it and sniffs the familiar cologne scent, legs curled up as they fiddle with the string.

Cheryl smiles softly, pressing a kiss to their head.

Android gives her one back, a light peck on her nose as their monitor mildly speeds up, face a soft pinky tinge.

She chuckles, looking at them lovingly, "Careful, you're gonna pass out again."

`Yes` Android nods and raises their eyebrows, lightly pinching her neck to test something.

`Test` They sign and pinch themselves, huffing. `Tired. Sleep?` Android signs and pats the bed, giving her their best attempt of puppy eyes.

"I'm fine, but sure," she doesn't waste a second settling next to them, with her own puppy eyes.

Cheryl gives Price a good talking down to, and a flick in the face, which she can get away with because she has Shepherd whipped. Then she come back in with the clothes and things. "For you."

Cheryl nods at the haul, "Props to the guy for bringing anything at all, i suppose."

Android nods again, putting the bag down and yawning, going back to sleep after a while.

Cheryl watches them sleep, making sure they don't die on her. An ancient tradition she read about somewhere. Made sense.

They wake the next morning, exhausted and ridden to the bone.

Android finally gets discharged a few weeks later, back in the halls. Cheryl is glad that they're okay, and help them rehanilitate their body. Right now, they're grabbing food in the mess hall.

Cheryl chats with them, digging into her food as well. She strectches for a moment, twisting and getting the most satifying crack. "Holy shit, you hear that?"

Android nods and puts their knuckles out, cracking them so loud it sounds like a gunshot. They curl up at the sudden yells, shying away and hiding.

"Oh, come out, Andy," she coaxes, "There ain't nothing to be 'friad 'bout."

Android smiles and pops one of their shoulders, patting her head at the nickname. `Like Andy.` They sign, smiling to Cheryl.

"Well good, because I'll be calling you that a lot," she grins, "Nice pop by the way, quite loud."

`Gun` They say and smile, a little red-faced. Then, Android cracks another shoulder, then stretches like Cheryl and makes a similar crack to hers.

She nods, solemnly, "If all of us cracked out bones right now, we'd definately trigger a PTSD attack."

Android nods and keeps eating their lunch, a hand holding the tray still.

Cheryl picks at her food, before looking up. She sees Price walking around in the mess. She immediately turns hostile and passive agressive to him, staring him down.

Android also watches him close, but trusting Cheryl to protect them as they eat.

Price saunders closer and closer, holding a file before putting it on the table, a sticky note over it.

Cheryl rolls her eyes, "Great, another all nighter, huh? You ever sleep, Price?"

Android grumbles and gets up, walking off with no explanation to anything. They just leave their tray and food, not coming back after a whole hour.
