omg this is too hottt I feel the ache for Mads only like every. single. day😂
saw a post about younger generations playing TikTok whenever and wherever and annoying as Hell and can't help but think about my apartment-mate who plays loudass TikTok super late into the night and sleep during the day, I have to get up at five am to study prior to work and all I can think about at 11pm at night trying to sleep is WHEN FEASIBLE ONE SHOULD ALWAYS TRY TO EAT THE RUDE
My favorite part of the day: ignore my phone and emails and texts and IMs and single-mindedly focus on watching Hannibal.

With all these old interviews being re-posted I am reminded again of the fact that not only I love the show, but also the cast. Apart from rewatching the show, I also rewatch the cast interviews a lot--the 2014 paleyfest one and the 2020 online reunion and they just GIVE ME LIFE. They all come across as really intelligent people who are really proud of what they've achieved (as they should be), and they giggle on stage like a group of middle schoolers who have just finished a science project. It is simply the type of down-to-earthness and love among cast members that cannot be scripted or faked.
AND THE BLOOPERS. I've watched it so much that I literally have to turn off my blooper-reaching brain in certain scenes. And if you haven’t watched the Paleyfest interview, you REALLY should.
To think that Bryan scratched all his notes after seeing the final editing for S1E1 and essentially rewrote the first half of S1, to think that we almost didn't get Mads as Hannibal, and to think that this piece of art was created on a low budget, was never given any attention from stupid CBS, and had to work its way around all those stupid rules, and to think the cast gave their best despite all these. I literally have tears. It is an inspiring story on its own. Even if we don't get S4, S1 to S3 is already a gift to mankind.

I started a tumblr so I have a place to write about the neuroscience aspects of the show that interest me and some attempts at metas. Yet all I do is looking at hannigram posts and saving GIFs and following every hannibal account and go Awwww Urghhhh omggggg Ahhhhhfghdjsk with the show playing in the background.
Hannibal loves will so much it makes my heart ache. There has been not one scene where Hannibal doesn't look at Will with this look of full, silly, deep uncontrollable helpless you-took-my-breath-away adoration. Literally Will can open his mouth and say thing like jsnfhie and Hannibal would be looking at him in awe. And Will's not even acknowledging him back.
tried really hard to explain to a friend today about how Hannibal is not a horror show but really a Soul-touching romance once you ignore what they are eating and what they probably will be eating post fall.
The first full day Hannibal Lecter spends with Will Graham, he:
gets to see Will in his underwear
convinces Will to let him into his motel room for a nice, intimate breakfast
flirts with Will by telling him how careful he is about what he puts into his body while eating sausage
tricks Will into eating human flesh
makes Will laugh :)
gets paid to investigate one of his own crimes
finds a murder daughter for him and Will to raise together
manipulates Will into killing the girl’s actual father so they can be a murder family
saves the girl and looks like a hero :)
curses Will with the knowledge that he likes killing just as much as he was always afraid he would
Like, good lord, no wonder this guy’s always so satisfied with himself.

I can't be the only person who thinks it's such a big jar of blood for a tiny person?
At the end of the day Hannibal makes Will feel worthwhile and worthy. Worth seeking out. Worth going to great lengths to possess. Worth indulging. Worth listening to, engaging with. Worth the effort to understand. Worthy of physical touch (and this, I think is one of the earliest truths because to Will being touched with violence is better than not being touched at all). Worth paying attention to not because of nor despite his mind, his empathy, the way he thinks, but as an entire person, as someone who’s made of complexities and has traits besides unsociable and unstable. Worth enduring the difficulties that Will constantly poses against Hannibal’s efforts to connect with him, and worth overcoming the challenges to prove his devotion that Will later subjects him to. Worth the destruction he creates when he enacts his darkest urges.
It’s why he’s more hurt by Hannibal’s betrayal at the end of season 1 more than anything else that ever happens between them, because it seems to Will that everything Hannibal has done up until that point wasn’t because Will was worthy of care and consideration but because Hannibal needed to save himself (even trying to eat his brain is because Hannibal thinks he’s worth consuming, worth possessing so entirely).
It’s why what he has with Hannibal is so intoxicating and irresistible even when it’s destroying him: because to someone like Will Graham, who’s been made to feel unworthy his entire life, being treated like he’s worthwhile is just that powerful.
hannibal brought him breakfast, invited him to a party, defended him when he said some shit to Freddie, made him Chinese Black chicken soup. Things that most likely no one did to Will before. And let's not forget Will asked Hannibal to watch his dogs in REALLY early S1 when he had known Hannibal for like probably just a few weeks.
Hannibal is like a treasure hunt where you're always finding stuff no matter how many times you've played.
Watched the third season for the third time and just noticed this: the TOOTH FAIRY picking up Reba at a bus station with a background of a DENTIST ad
