Impact: G-006
thedarkestgolurk:
The Golurk’s body lurches upward as it retracts its legs and hands into its body, ancient jets roaring to life rather violently despite being recently used. Automaton quickly rises up to the genesect’s height, hovering as it begins observing the modern mechanical insect.
“Entity matches memory profile of legacy species #172, classified ‘Genesect’. Entity composition unknown. Beginning analysis.
After a few moments, its eyes flash a bright green as the Golurk scans the Pokémon with a series of highly penetrating gamma pulses.
Thorough, highly effective, yet horribly refined and crude by modern standards, maybe even somewhat damaging to the more sensitive parts in G-006’s body, but what could be expected of such an ancient being?

The Gamma rays unleashed by the Golurk against the Genesect’s more modern frame would threaten the integrity and strength of its internal systems. G-6 optimized this by activating an invisible forcefield around itself to protect from intrusive rays, which may or may not interrupt the Golurk’s scannin process as a result.
Still, the lingering effects of the gamma rays would cause the Genesect to twitch irritably, like it was attempting to shake off the radiation that disrupted its systems. Eventually, G-6 was fully active once more and its eyes would flash red at the Golurk before its voice arrived once more.

Something so pure, something so… kind. To expect something like her to be created for the sole purpose (no pun intended) of helping others feel good instead of performing aggravating human tasks seems like it was too good to be true. G-6 suddenly felt a tinge of inferiority, though it was replaced with respect when it occurred to them that she may have similar goals in mind to its own.
G-6 fought for the liberation and freedom of all pokemon… presumably to make them happy. That was similar, right? Still, their methods were quite different. G-6 was created as a weapon to bring forth liberation.. Maria was created as a means to connect and help Pokemon be happy. She certainly seemed like the sort that would dote on sad little Pokemon to try to cheer them up.
G-6 briefly considered working with her. Inviting her to join its cause. Perhaps another tool to assist Team Plasma in their efforts of liberation… But then it reconsidered. Wasn’t it ironic to force other Pokemon to join its cause? Or would it not be forced if they agreed to it? A claw tapped gently against its face in thought before it disregarded the thought entirely.

Maria thought it was peaceful purpose. Rather than for explicitly battling, her power was designed for the protection of others: guarding their well-being. Her ability, her Soul-Heart, only works for that role: as her power is increased based upon the suffering of others. She disliked fighting, but she’d gladly do it to protect. To save.
“I WONDER THE SAME ABOUT YOU. WHAT YOUR PATH IS LIKE.”
She stated, staring at the purple automaton with very apparent curiosity. Maria knew so little about G-6 after all, so it was natural for her to want to learn more. It wasn’t every day that she encountered another similar to she: a mechanical pokemon.
“YOU SAY OUR GOALS ARE SIMILAR…HOW SO? WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?”
And their methods were different? ‘Different’ in what ways?
Stiff limbs twitched thoughtfully as the Genesect thought about what it would say. If it were to give a full explanation about the things it did and was capable of, it was likely to scare her off. It didn’t want to do that - it felt like it could at least minimally relate to another creature now, even with the apparent differences.
It finally found a friend.
Or at least, it liked to think she was a friend now.
G-6 thought over its words for a few minutes before finally conjuring something... acceptable.

Greetings Whi-Two.
of course that was her alias before, it brings her so much memories… those fun days with plasma and the time where she met foongy, her foongus. in which she accidentally gave it a nickname while picking it up and assumed that it was a pokeball. although she was more curious about the whereabouts of the people who were in team plasma, more specifically the one who was faction with ghetsis, but she won’t question about it.
‘ have you traced the whereabouts of lord n after disappearing with the dragon of ideals ? ’ of course that was the first thing she had to ask, even though she has encountered him many times now, she doesn’t know where he IS and what his intentions are. ‘ if not lord n then- ’
SHE STOPPED.
she stopped there for a moment, of course she didn’t know where ghetsis was after what happened in the giant chasm with kyurem. although, maybe it’s best to know where his whereabouts are. ‘ where do you think ghetsis is ? i know where the shadow triads at but… where is ghetsis ? ’
The Genesect searched its database for any data in regards to N, a person of interest to the organization. It knew the name, and it had data, though much of it had been redacted and corrupted. Let’s not forget to mention the fact that it’s outdated and unreliable as a source of information. The unit releases a low chitter of disappointment after searching all of its information databases, finding nothing of use to her two queries.

Maria liked to believe that her creator was still around. However, as time went by…she became more and more uncertain. She flinched ever so slightly when G-6 spoke of her maker not being in this world anymore. It hurt. She wanted to believe the opposite, but maybe he really was…
… … …
“MY PURPOSE…?”
That was the question, wasn’t it? She couldn’t remember much, but what she could…
“IT WAS TO BRING HAPPINESS TO HUMANS AND POKEMON. MY CREATOR…SAID I WAS TO BE A SYMBOL OF HOPE AND PEACE.”
She understood that. Her creator mentioned something about how something terrible had happened in the history of their land, and she was to help restore the harmony that used to exist…piece by piece. She was just one machine; she couldn’t erase the suffering of every living being, but at least…she could help whoever she encountered.
Additionally, and Maria was sure this personality trait of hers was predetermined, but she hated seeing others be sad or generally unhappy. She was compassionate, especially since she was able to sense the emotions of others. She cared, a lot.
“EITHER BY ASSISTING OTHERS, OR BY TAKING CARE OF THEM…I WAS TO BE A MODEL OF BENEVOLENCE.”
Something so pure, something so... kind.

Truthfully, she didn’t know what to think of G-6. Yes, they weren’t being hostile, but…their appearance made her wonder of their purpose. Especially that large cannon on their back…that had to be a weapon. How strong of one she didn’t know, but it was installed there for them to use for attack; that much she could see.
She too had a weapon…actually about two. Her arms were able to become cannons as well, especially for the use of her signature move…which could be rather devastating. Even her ability was remarkable: it allowed her power to gradually increase based upon the suffering of others around her. Maria knew she wasn’t weak, that she was designed to be powerful, but…it was different.
She was made how she was in order to better protect those she cared for. She was not some…tool of destruction.
She wasn’t designed to constantly engage in battle, there was no programing or directives installed for such. Plus, her body wasn’t built for heavy combat, as her appearance implied.
She didn’t even like fighting anyway.
Yet Maria couldn’t assume the similar for G-6, especially when they said something about “patrolling” and…“associated commanders”. Those were their superiors, she assumed? She herself had no superiors, and she responded with so to their next query.
“NO, NOT ANYMORE. I AM ALONE.”
‘Not anymore?’ Hm. A creature of this design must have surpassed her creator.. which would make sense, considering how unique her design was. Reminiscent of an old era that no longer exists, G-6 gathered that she at least must be a hundred years old.. perhaps more than that. G-6 wasn’t very sure how old it was though. Its activation protocols and debug code involved were all messy, so its precise birth date is unknown. There is also the fact that long ago it had been something once living... perhaps in the millions of millions of years it had been fossilized, it had only now just been reborn as something new.
Not that it had anything to fall back on, at this point. No family. No relations to any other creatures. Just itself. Now it was alone in a world with its creators, who it liked to believe were still around. Red irises focused and unfocused for a moment before a claw reached up behind its head to scratch very softly at the plating. Despite ‘not having standard emotional reactions,’ G-6 did inherit some things from other Pokemon recently that saved its ‘data’ from behaving solely like a machine. It was a weird feeling, but it had the isolated thought that maybe it had asked too personal of a question.. That’s not to say she was offended by it, since she appeared to answer without a problem, but G-6 still felt like it had almost crossed a threshold. It didn’t seem to notice how much she was inspecting its cannon... it was perhaps a little more obvious that its design was created with the purpose of being a weapon. He was only lucky he did not deter this poor automaton by loading in a burn drive before their encounter.

Did…did she upset them? It was difficult to tell, but the magearna still felt guilty nonetheless. While she couldn’t convey many emotions for obvious reasons (her facial structures were very restricting), the thin plates of metal that served as her ‘eyelids’ slid downwards partially over her glowing optics at a slanted angle to display an expression akin to one of worry.
As much as she wanted to, Maria didn’t voice her concern, as to help lower the risk of she upsetting them more. Instead, the robotic fairy answered the inquiry after a slight pause.
“I AM ONLY JUST…ROAMING. I DO NOT HAVE ANYWHERE TO GO, OR ANYWHERE TO BE.”
She paused again.
“…WHY ARE YOU HERE?”
‘Roaming’? So essentially what G-6 was doing, prior to meeting the other automaton for the first time... yet it doubted she had the same intentions. After all, G-6 was patrolling, not simply roaming. It was for the benefit of Team Plasma - an organization which, at this point, no longer exists. Yet, it believes it to still be active, as its database has not been fully erased yet. While G-6 is unknowing of this, it still didn’t change the fact that in the end, their purposes were different.
That had to make them wonder, however - what was HER purpose? Why was she made? Was she simply given life for the purpose of having it, at the expense of whatever energy had been placed into the Soul Heart... or was she created to be a destructive force in the past as well?
.... It had its doubts. After all, Magearna didn’t look particularly... threatening. Closer looks showed that she held a similar design to a typical human maid... so it wondered briefly if she was built for the purpose of performing menial tasks.
What a tragic lifestyle, being built solely for the purpose of fulfilling someone else’s hard work. Did she enjoy such a thing? Perhaps. Perhaps not. She could have simply been conditioned to function that way.
At least its purpose held a much more bountiful fruit. The freedom and liberation of all Pokemon. The absence of human influence from an otherwise natural world. A world in which Pokemon can finally live in peace.
At least, that’s what it told itself.
It’s not like it was ironic in thinking otherwise, right?
Right?
....

Impact: G-006
An almost subsonic wave fills the air, more easily felt as a steady pressure to all but the most sensitive ears. The wave becomes a dull rumble, growing to the distinctly powerful roar of rocket engines in the distance. A point of light rises over from the horizon, seeming to climb up and burn more brightly in the sky, shedding material like a meteor would as it plummets down.
The blazing point of light grows larger and larger, disappearing behind a dense forest only a few minutes away. You prepare for a deafening impact, but when the object should have struck the earth, the roar simply stopped as if it was never there.
In the forest, a cracked and charred shell of earth rests in a blackened and seared circle of grass, seeming to be made only of hardened clay. And it’s crumbling, giving way to a vaguely humanoid shape scrawled with ancient, glowing markings. With a rumble, the clay sphere breaks its shell and reveals a curled up colossus’ body.
After a moment of silence, the horrible, screeching sound of gears spinning up resounds through the area, and the figure rises up slowly. As it stands, a low hum rises to a mechanized voice that booms out a warning, one that can be heard easily enough despite the deep baratone voice.
“Automaton: Online. Anomalous environment detected, commencing search and pursuit operations.”
[Will you investigate?] ( @Genesectoid )
The noise had most assuredly not gone unnoticed. The patroling Genesect that was engaging in its usual scan-and-analysis protocol noticed something very off about the forest tonight. That particular thing was related to the sound of roaring engines that did not quite sound like the usual design of most human-crafted machinery. No, this was something almost... artificial, yet not. A mix between something that was natural and unnatural at once. An enigma that G-6 had hoped to discover the answer to as quickly as it could.
Within mere seconds, the unit shifted its form into one much more capable of aerial travel. Seconds passed before its own anti-gravitational functionality brought it to the crater that had made itself into a dent in the forest’s earthen floor. A moment was taken afterwards to examine the destruction and wasted natural life that had been surrounding the area of impact before its gaze shifted down to the culprit below.
The culprit had begun to move in that instant, taking on a form that seemed to match data in regards to the ‘GOLURK’ species. A species of ghastly, clay-like idols that moved and trampled the earth with their sheer force alone. A marvel in the eyes of many, yet most fail to realize such a creature was capable of immense destruction while left unchecked.
Of course, this also meant that G-6 had to make necessary precautions as well. Its Chill Drive was loaded into its cannon as it slowly allowed itself to drift down to the earthen floor, crimson eyes examining the strange earthly automaton with a hint of curiosity before speaking, its voice tainted with a monotonous robotic tone.

“…I SEE.”
She suspected as much. Maria had a feeling that she was ‘one of a kind’, and now, that seemed all the more true. Even so, she didn’t necessarily feel…special. If anything, she questioned if it was even right. She was not blind to the innate rules of the world, and knew that objects couldn’t naturally possess something that living beings did: a soul.
What made up them? Where they actual things that existed, or where they only concepts?
Perhaps, it didn’t matter?
“I SUPPOSE MY SOUL-HEART’S CREATION WAS A MIRACLE. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT CAN BE REPLICATED…OR IF IT IS EVER MEANT TO BE.”
Even a closer analysis did not reveal the true inner workings of Magearna’s soul heart. How it truly functioned was far beyond its understanding, and perhaps it was both a marvel and a mockery to the very concept of life itself. It wondered if it was even possible to replicate something to this capacity, even with modern-day technology.
Once again, it felt the teeniest feeling of jealousy, but it didn’t feel any innate urge or need to take it for itself.
After all, what could it, with its technically inferior anatomy, do with an object such as this? They couldn’t replace their own power source even if they tried. Their bodies were just not meant to carry something like this.
Not meant to carry a soul.
A small moment of silence passed before its next response.

She only stared when they came closer, and she didn’t move away. She felt little need to, since G-6 didn’t seem to be hostile. At least, they haven’t attacked her or tried to. So, she was feeling relatively calm…save for some flustered feelings emerging from how they stared into her eyes.
The question made her look down at her chest cavity, which contained her “heart”. It wasn’t like that of a human’s or pokemon’s, being entirely artificial.
“YES. IT IS CALLED MY ‘SOUL-HEART’, AND IT WAS MADE BY MY HUMAN CREATOR.”
It was, through some unknown means. It wasn’t your average man-made contraption: it had a special element to it, perhaps something…supernatural.
“IT IS WHAT…GIVES ME LIFE.”
A ‘soul heart?’ G-6 has no record or data of such a contraption ever being made. Perhaps the invention was so out of the way of history that it had been entirely missed by G-6′s database... or perhaps it was just the fact that it lacked proper knowledge of it. All-in-all, it was a magnificent design.. something that not only served as a power source, but something akin to the heart and soul of a living creature..
It almost felt jealous. Almost.
G-6 almost felt tempted to touch it, too, but realizing such a thing would probably not be comfortable for one such as herself, it decided it best not to tap it. Instead, G-6 straightened itself out again and tapped its own claws against its chest.

“G-SERIES…G-006.”
Interesting! She still hadn’t a clue as to what they exactly were, but at least she could identify them now. Even so, just from how they communicated; it was all to apparent that the two of them differed a great amount, despite the similarities between them. How she functioned was…bizarre.
She was a machine, yet she could think and feel true emotion. Such was only possible to due her Soul-Heart, but it made her question as to how it came into existence. Her creator told her so little…or maybe he told her more, and she forgot? She couldn’t remember, nothing about it was in her memory banks.
But that wasn’t important right now, she was far too curious about G-006.
“I AM KNOWN AS MAGEARNA, THOUGH I IDENTIFY WITH THE DESIGNATION ‘MARIA’.”
‘MARIA.’ A common name often shared by humans, but not quite by Pokemon. Perhaps this marvel was dubbed with such a name from her creator, or maybe she took up after human traditions and namesakes. G-6 barely ever found a need to name themselves anything other than their standard unit title, since its kind were normally treated as weapons and not as living things. Even now, G-6 still sees itself as nothing but a weapon programmed to deal with threats to an organization that has since fallen apart..
G-6 tipped its head at Marias as it took a curious step forward, leaning itself in such a way that allowed its head to come to level with hers, so it could stare not only at her eyes - which seemed to hold so much emotion - to the soul-heart on her chest. What a curious item.. something that radiated powerful readings on its analysis query. What an interesting design...

She responded...? Interesting. Animate and audible. A mechanical marvel. She was perhaps more advanced than itself, but perhaps she had something that it didn’t.... a functioning ‘heart.’
G-006′s heart is mechanical, a mere automated replication of a since-bygone species that no longer exists in this modern-day world. Every inch of its body was mechanical, save for perhaps a few other biological necessities, but for the majority of its body, it was operating off a machine and code alone. Being so restricted like this disallowed it to face similar existential similarities between other biological species.
So even though it had found something like itself... she still felt so different.
