Day 35 and there's a "lot of activity" for the Goshi team. Being featured on TechCrunch and NBC Chicago it's been quite a busy time for Goshi. They've been getting a lot of downloads and seeing a lot of activity. Now it's time they crunch some numbers and see what the analytics look like on their app and move forward with how they can continue to improve Goshi. But while all that goes on the countdown to demo day continues. One of Goshi's friends as well as an Excelerate Labs startup calls out that Goshi will be the "darling" of demo day and that they are sleeper but will that hold true? It's all up to them now with 35 more days to go.
On Day 36, the Goshi team heads to a meeting with Lightbank to discuss their business model. The team have explored different revenue ideas before however, the meeting with Lightbank gives them invaluable insight and will help them immensely moving forward. With the days counting down until pitch day receiving helpful tips like these are invaluable.
Meanwhile, on the product side the team focuses on an Android build as well as a ton of user experience improvements the team desperately wants to see in the newest build. Every day, the Goshi team looks at their product and makes great strides in building an amazing experience and with the days counting down they hope they can continue building the Goshi experience for many more days to come.

Day 37 requires security clearance as the Goshi team head out of the office to plan more of their guerilla marketing for the app. The team has been gaining a lot of traction and receiving great press about the app and now they're looking to increase their traction through these series of "top secret" meetings. In addition to planning their viral strategy the team must make a lot of difficult decisions regarding the app. After sitting down for a brainstorming session Jack and Chad have come up with over 20 features that they would like to push as an update. But without the luxury of time, they must choose carefully and make the tough decisions of what features will not make the cut. The days continue to count down and the Goshi team keeps getting busier and busier with hopes of a bright future in sight on day 0.
Day 38 and the Chamber of Commerce might sound like a day filled with Butterbeer, muggles, and magic but you would be mistaken. Today the Goshi team had a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce to discuss their potential use of Goshi. With TechWeek over and the app live on the iTunes marketplace the team looks to transition back into their weekly sprints of the app. The past week has been a great break from a strong development focus but now that the public events have come and gone the team will now have to focus on the user feedback they're receiving from their app and continue refining and iterating on Goshi. The countdown continues and every day the team looks to improve not only their product - but themselves.
On day 40, the perfect storm starts to brew. Not just because Chad is stuck outside the office after a key mixup between him and Jack - but because everything is about to happen for the Goshi team. Tech Week is going extremely well for the team, the launch party is tonight, and the app will be released in the upcoming week. All these events are leading to the perfect storm for Goshi. Which is to say that the next month Goshi will be right in the middle of the storm. Facing the pressure of a live app, planning for Goshi's future, and dealing with whatever else the storm might throw their way. Both Chad and Jack will have to remain strong and resilient to survive the storm and see where this perfect storm brings them to.
Day 41 is all gravy for the Goshi team. After a long night fixing a bug that could prevent the Goshi app from delaying the launch, the team wakes up to some great news. The app hass been approved by Apple. The team can now rest easy and focus on the weekend's upcoming events, TechWeek, the Goshi launch party, and Jack using ZipCar for his first time. For their table at TechWeek the team will have a Button-o-Matic filled with nothing other than buttons. It might seem like a small thing but event something as simple as a button-o-matic is a great way for the Goshi team to have a little fun while they work hard. Day 42 was quite the roller coaster ride for the Goshi team. With the app submitted to Apple for approval the team focused on getting ready for Tech Week and tonight's Tech Cocktail. Perfecting their pitch is something which both Jack and Chad have been working on for quite some time and events like Tech Cocktail give them the practice they need to iterate and perfect their pitch.
Tech Cocktail was going quite well for Goshi - they received a lot of positive feedback from attendees of the event and made a lot of great connections. But then, halfway through the event Jack received an e-mail from Apple. Goshi was rejected from Apple's app store. With both Jack and Chad having to stay at Tech Cocktail there was nothing they could do until the event was over. The rest of the night they talked about Goshi while in the back of their mind they knew that their launch on Monday could be compromised.
The team headed quickly to their offices after the event to get to work on a new build which would pass Apple's submission process. In a couple of hours the team has a new build and submits it to the app store. Their work is done. With the clock ticking down until Monday's launch the Goshi team can't help but wonder if their app will be live on Monday. All the Goshi team can do now is hope that the app will be approved quickly and focus on Tech Week and their launch party.
It's day 43 and the Goshi team can feel the heat. Maybe it's because of the 103 degree weather in Chicago or maybe because it's getting closer and closer to launch day for the Goshi team. Regardless, the Goshi team is back on the streets today. They're getting ready all the promotional material which they'll need at Tech Cocktail, TechWeek, and their launch party.
With so much going on, the Goshi team not only has to keep the track of the promo events which are coming up but also keep in mind the business aspect of things. Tonight, the team will be at Tech Cocktail in Chicago kicking of Chicago Tech Week talking about Goshi and their vision - an extremely important thing to do with any startup. The upcoming days will be extremely busy for the Goshi team and will be leading up to the launch of Goshi. For now the team will be wrapped up with events but in the back of everyone's mind is that launch is Monday - and as exciting as it is it's also a pivotal moment that could definitely define the future of Goshi.

Some days you need to keep it old school and that's what Day 44 was all about for the Goshi team. A critical component of Goshi are physical locations. It's where the virtual world of Goshi meets the physical world of Goshi. Today Chad and Jack set out to talk to coffee shops and discuss their partnerships. The discussions went well for the team and now 3 strategic physical locations within Chicago will be featuring Goshi. These locations are critical to the team's vision as well as their execution - securing these partnerships was key.
With these partnerships in hand, the Goshi team heads back to their office to plan for Chicago's Tech Week, their launch party, and their official launch on Monday.
It's day 45 and the Goshi team is still rocking. Chad used the weekend to fly out to NYC and get some much needed rest. These past couple of weeks have especially rough on Chad. His apartment is in NYC, his girlfriend is in NYC, his life is in NYC - but Goshi is in Chicago. When everyone else leaves the office to rest Chad stays behind and cuddles up on the couch to go to sleep. Quite literally, Goshi is where he lives, eats, and sleeps. While it has been difficult to keep this up Chad knows that ultimately it's what Goshi needs right now and it's what he has to do. His passion for Goshi fuels him throughout the week and these NYC weekend getaways let him recharge and come back to Goshi refreshed and eager for another grueling day.
Today - the Goshi team headed to a different type of meeting where they discussed Goshi from a product design stance. The team chatted with some of the brilliant minds at an innovation firm and were forced to think about things in a very different light. Some of the thoughts and ideas that were brought up questioned the very focus of Goshi. This didn't dishearten the Goshi team as they collected their thoughts and will now work hard to curate them into actionable tasks which they could accomplish by the end of the fifty days.
With Tech Week coming up, and Goshi's launch party on Sunday the team will be working hard to dotting all their i-s and crossing all their t-s. Both events are extremely exciting but on the back of everyone's mind at Goshi is the 50 day countdown.

It's official. We're having a launch party! After several weeks of hard work (mostly by Jack), we are happy to announce that we will be launching our iPhone version this week. To celebrate this occasion, and to take a break from the madness, we're throwing a party. We'll have t-shirts, stickers, and of course beer.

With day 49 blending into day 48 from a late night at the Goshi offices Chad and Jack head into their meeting a bit tired but with positive thoughts and perseverance leading the way. They've completed the Goshi app and have it with them to show at their meetings. Their hard work pays off as their meetings go extremely well and clearly depicts the vision for what Goshi really is. Goshi is well received at all the meetings and the discussions go swimmingly. It's a relief for both Chad and Jack as previously they were having a tough time communicating what Goshi actually is. Now with an app in hand, their work can do all the talking.
Goshi's meetings go well and there are promising ventures that could secure the stability of Goshi. However, the hard part isn't over - it's just begun. With excitement building up around the potential of Goshi the team must put all their efforts and focus into executing on the potential and have Goshi live up to their dreams as well as conquer the Apple update process.
