“i mean, i would have to say that’s unfortunate for you, but in recent days, i’ll commend it.” taking a sip of his drink, he shrugged slightly, only to end up shaking his head with a definitiveness. “negatory! why you don’t stick wit’ the liquor? ain’t yo' mama ever tell you don’t just be takin’ random shit?”

unable to stop the laugh that slipped, once it wasn’t matched, he stared at the woman blankly with furrowed brows. “oh, like you’re serious? there’s no way you think it’s aight to say some damn ‘piece of weed’. you bein’ for real right now?”

with his brow arched, the man loosely tilted his head in the opposite’s direction, trying to puzzle together why he felt that. “yeah, i guess i’m glad it ain’t come to that, huh?” nodding slowly, he shifted his eye line back to what brought him to his current position in the first place. swirling around the white hennessy in its’ glass, GIANNI took a sip of the chilled liquor. despite having posed the question, he hadn’t even had a response on his own, admittedly having been a little preoccupied. he gave a casual shrug before standing up straight. “zip-lining sounds cool. if they got some jetskis too? that’d be dope. get out there on the water and shit.” looking around at what the options were to be served, his attention immediately shifted, always able to focus on his next meal. “aye, this shit prolly finna be fire, but i’m definitely in someone’s hole in the wall before we leave. that’s a fact.”

walking around with a drink in hand, a wide smile was plastered on the man’s face. having gone through a stressful evening and morning until the plane departed, the sudden addition of pressure to his regular routine was evident if you truly knew him. but that all managed to change as soon as the group landed in jamaica. going over to the balcony railing to stare out at the horizon before them, GIANNI took a sip of his drink before clearing his throat softly. “ion know ‘bout you, but this trip bein’ right now is clutch. what you tryna do while we here?”

the sound of her compliment made a genuine, cheesy grin appear on his features as his head jerked slightly in excitement. pointing at the matching pieces he still had on, reflecting on the memory it took for him to gain the pieces for his collection. "thank you, babycakes," he spoke, reaching out to grab her pinky with two digits. bringing her hand up to his mouth, he placed a soft kiss to her knuckles. going back into himself, he let his head fall to the side slightly, preparing himself to follow along with wherever she was about to direct the conversation. he folded his hands together, letting them arch gently as his arms laid on the rests of the chair. it wasn't unlike ARIA to jump straight to the point, but with such a subject, he would be lying if he said he wasn't caught off guard. before he could speak up on her previous question, he was forced to listen to her as she continued, his expression going to an unusual stoic position. his knee began to lightly bounce as his best friend went to break down her current thoughts, and being more vulnerable than he would have anticipated, especially with the lack of communication they'd shared this evening. nodding once she posed the infamous "what are we?" question, he couldn't help the lump that formed in his throat, forcing himself to swallow. once she slowed down, he inhaled deeply, an attempt at catching his own breath before clearing his throat. "that was...um, a lot. i won't even lie to ya', " he spoke through a chuckle. pulling his hat from the top of his head, GIANNI held it in his hands as he got his thoughts together. "no, don't table shit. you got it all out there now. i mean..shit's come up, bae. and ion want you to feel like ian been noticin' that i'm lackin', so." licking over his lips, he used the pad of his thumb to rub at his chin before going to pull at his goatee. "ion wanna lie to you. you know i uh, been overthinkin' lately. and that's made me..kinda analyze some things. ian tryna have no situationship with you, aria. i mean..not intentionally, at least. you feel how you feel, and i feel the same. i'm just not..ready for a relationship right now. like, it's you— not you but..i just need you to be patient, baby."

the male's brow arched as she started, unable to stop the amused look on his face, knowing that she'd respond in the matter to how he addressed their destination. shifting the vehicle into drive, he easily cruised through the traffic, using his left to direct them. his right hand easily laid on her thigh, giving soft squeezes intermittently as he honored her silence. it didn't take long before the pair arrived, both of them getting out with ease before making their way inside. whenever there was an opportunity to expose the other to their personal passions, the homme took a moment to appreciate it, since they were both perfectionists with what they did. although he loved music himself, it was always an experience for him when ARIA brought him in to the behind the scenes action. seeing her creative process, as well as her growth over the years, made him nothing short of proud. his thumb absentmindedly glided across the back of her hand until they were inside, him immediately going to take his jacket off. "you talkin' 'bout you hot. this look was a commitment. but i said i was gon' fuck 'em today, so i did it." a soft chuckle slipped from his mouth as he tossed the article on the couch. familiar with the room, he still did his usual pacing, trying to see if he could remember various tasks that each device did. at the sound of her question, he rose his brows before shrugging nonchalantly, never feeling like he had anything special to talk about. "i mean, i know i been ducked off a little, but you know me. practices been kinda beatin' my ass," he started, making his way to the seat beside her. but GIANNI couldn't ignore the lingering tone that she spoke with, an ultimate sense that she was trying to ease them into something that she no doubt wanted clarified. like a kid, he went to mess with one of the sliders on the board before leaning back in the seat, folding his hands intentionally in the process. "lemme not fuck shit up in here. 'cause ion know if i could talk myself outta it. but i've missed you, buttercup. i know i got some makin' up to do."

with his lips rolled in his mouth, he cautiously chewed on his bottom lip while eyeing his best friend. her delivery caught his attention as he debated on whether or not to address it with the woman. going with his better judgment, an empty chuckle lightly sounded from his mouth as he avoided bringing any more attention to it. drumming his fingertips on the bar top’s surface, his brow raised in confusion before pushing his lips together as he blew softly. “pssh! we just gettin’ started,” he muttered, slouching some to watch her at her level. with a smirk on his features, the male waited to see if he would be impressed with her ability to take the strong liquor to the head. and as the modelesque femme went down the line, the look on his face went to read one of pride in her. clapping once she slapped the last glass down, GIANNI gave her her rightfully earned applause. “aight, aight. ian mad at it. but it ain’t nasty, baby,” he began, knocking his first shot back with ease. the transfer from the counter to pouring the liquor down his throat was smooth between the his half of the share, the intensity of each coasting off the previous one’s. once finished, he brought the glass down energetically, opening his mouth to stick his tongue out to show it was all down the hatch. “just like water.” raising his brows in understanding, he had the bartender’s attention once more, doing the familiar process of closing his tab. after tipping, he put his car back in his wallet before assisting ARIA from her seat, letting her lead the way in front of him as he held her hip from behind. navigating through the crowd, it wasn’t long before they were in the lot and near his truck. opening her door as routine, he waited until she was settled before making his way to the driver’s side. “we goin’ to yo' regular trap?”

his oral muscle glided between his set as he stared at the beauty, lowering his lids slightly as he looked down at her. getting the bartender’s attention, he give an understanding expression in response as he was told to wait a moment. “ion even know, man. it just help me feel hydrated and it ain’t water, so double bonus.” his eyes lit up once ARIA offered the invitation before his attitude shifted as he quickly kissed his teeth. getting cut off from speaking as she leaned in, he kept his pose momentarily once she’d retracted, wishing the embrace had been longer. “and why yo’ ass ain’t do it? this the shit i be talkin’ ‘bout with you.” the subtle chastise in his delivery was finished as he gently tapped at her forehead. shaking his head, he slipped his hand to her waist, pulling himself up to be connected to the woman’s side. “you know i wanna see what you got goin’ on. i can drive us.” once the bartender had arrived, he easily spit out the order for them, requesting what the woman had wanted earlier. having the six shots of tequila poured in front of them, the man divided them in half when finished. “you was talkin’ big shit though, so let’s see if you really ‘bout. three, back-to-back?”

leaning across the surface of the bar, GIANNI propped himself up on one elbow, mirroring the woman beside him. with his face reading in my mild surprise, he pressed his lips down in understanding, letting the woman know that he heard her loud and clear. he listened to ARIA speak, admiring the confidence she had in herself as it clearly resonated. “i mean, i ain’t ‘bout to put you on blast in public,” he started with a chuckle, holding his hands up for emphasis. arching a brow as she squinted at him, he reached out to grab her chin, holding it lightly as a smirk crept on his face. “it was good, sweet pea. i went to the store and got more strawberry grape body armor’s, so nothin’ could piss me off today.”

a soft chuckle slipped from the man’s mouth, looking over her appearance as he nodded in agreement. “you sound like you in for a good night then. but you and i both know that you can’t go toe to toe wit’ the big dogs,” he taunted with a chuckle. “but i mean, if you wanna have a hangover this early in the week, i’ll take care of you.”
