“There are so many delicious food around and I don’t even know what to eat first. All I know is I am starving and I should eat something as soon as possible.”
With a light clink, another metal ring was added to Nora’s makeshift jewelry collection around her wrist. The Fall Festival was officially in full swing, placing Nora at the ring toss booth. It’d been fun so far, watching children toss rings while mostly parents won the prizes, aided by a height advantage, but with it being lunchtime, Nora’s shift at the booth had hit an impossible lull. She was beginning to wish that she’d had the forethought to bring a snack with her or maybe a book, because she could only rearrange the hanging plushies so many times. Nora leaned into the booth’s edge, bucket of rings slowly being emptied onto either of her arms, elbows swishing every few moments to make them jingle until she spotted someone approaching. Before they could breeze by, she perked with an excited smile. “Hey!” Nora called out. “Free round at the ring toss if you bring me some candy corn.” Her eyebrows wiggled, as if it was really an enticing offer. “I’ll even thow in some pointers on which milk bottles to aim for.”
“Nora?” Gia asked, raising her eyebrow. “Are you in charge of ring toss booth? I didn’t know that.” The blonde informed with a chuckle. “I will bring you some candy corn but you don’t have to give me a free round.” She shrugged. “Plus my aim is terrible, we both know that.”
“Short hair looks good on you, don’t worry. I’ve got weaknesses a plenty.” He joked, laughing at her words. “Well get ready to spend your Friday nights with the best company you could find in New York. Random people with weird stories. You’re never going to want to do anything else.”
“Thank you. I love short hair more to be honest, easy to style and it looks more modern. Plenty? Really? What are your other weaknesses?” She smirked, raising her brow playfully. “Best company? Wow, aren’t you a little bit cocky?” She teased. “We will see. Be careful what you wish for my friend, you wouldn’t want to spend all your Fridays with me.”
“Where’d you go to school? That’s what I’m trying to do. I work for Oscar de la Renta, in design. What about you?”
“Ohio. It was a different experience for me.” She chuckled. “Oscar de la Renta! Shit, that’s fancy. You must be really good. Where did you study?” She asked curiously. “I am a grad student in NYU.”
“I just don’t get them! They don’t look good on anyone. Messy buns on a girl - hot and admittedly a huge weakness for me. But on a guy? I just can’t jump on board that train.” Bentley nodded his head with a laugh. “I couldn’t agree more. Sounds like a pretty good Friday but I guess I’ve gotten pretty tired of that too.”
“Really? Messy buns is your weaknesses? Damn.. Now I feel like I shouldn’t have cut my hair.” She teased, tossing her short hair aside. “Me neither. I’ve never found man buns attractive nor cool.” She shrugged. “Same. I have been living like that since college. I find it boring but I can’t find better things to do. Until now of course.”
“I didn’t want to move back home, and I felt like if I moved back to Manhattan it would kinda just feel like I was a kid again. So I decided to try something different for a little while.”
“Understandable. You have a point there but since I moved back to Brooklyn after college, I can’t judge that.Do whatever makes you happy to be honest. I hope you will like Brooklyn. What do you do?”
“Nah, honestly, I’m probably more hipster than half of Brooklyn. But all the man buns have got to go.” He laughed. “I’m glad. I like a girl who can eat and drink. Way better and easier to be around. What same thing have you been doing over and over again?”
“That’s a good thing. Oh God, I agree about the man buns, no one can pull them off. Literally no one.” She laughed. “Definitely. Life is too short to starve yourself, don’t you think? Going out, getting drunk and getting laid. Typical Friday for me.”
26. What is your favorite/least favorite word?
Favorite word is honestly and I use it a lot. Least favorite word is panties. It just irritates me.
Does he really? Can you find out some information and get back to me with that? That’d mean the fucking world to me. Everyone I’ve stumbled upon is seeking upwards of forty bucks an hour and I can’t do that. Not right now.
“Yes he does. Sure, I can. Let me text him right now.” Gia said, grabbing her phone from her back pocket and texted her dad. “Ugh, that’s expensive. But hey, if you ever need money don’t hesitate to ask okay? Since I live with my dad I don’t spend any money on rent, so I am far away from being broke. Plus you are one of my closest friends, so if you need something, just ask okay?”
12, 30 & 38
12. What type of personality traits do you look for in a boyfriend/girlfriend/partner?
He should have a sense of humour and he needs to be laid-back. Also ability of listening.
30. Would you go bungee jumping/sky diving if given the chance?
I have done bungee jumping actually. It was so fun. My ex took me on a date and we ended up doing bungee jumping. It was our first date.
38. Ever come close to death?
Answered.
“Thank you! I feel like a lot of people say they like Warhol without really appreciating his work. It’s just like, a hipster thing to do or some bullshit. But nobody truly appreciates his genius.” He rambled, giving the girl a smile. Ben sensed the hesitation when he mentioned walking but he was glad she agreed. “We’ll stop for coffee if the walking or relationship talk gets to be too much. I promise. It’ll be fun though. The stories I hear are too good sometimes.”
“I know right? Do you dislike hipsters though? You need to tell me first.” Gia asked with a laugh. She’s a hipster herself but she just wanted to know how Bentley felt about them. “We will definitely stop for coffee because I can’t walk that long without eating or drinking. I just can’t.” Gia chuckled. “I can’t wait. It will be a nice change. I am kinda bored of doing same thing over and over again.”

17. Do you have a crush/romantic interest in anyone?
Currently no. I do hook ups here and there but I am not interested in anyone romantically.
21. Do you ever wish you were someone else?
Nope. Never. I am so comfortable in my own skin.
5 & 6
5. Do you drink?
Yes, I do. At least twice in a week.
6. Do you smoke?
Nope, I don’t smoke. Because I hate the smell. I smoke pot sometimes though.
20. What was your most embarrassing moment?
God, that’s a hard one. I have too many so I don’t know which one I should pick. Once a security guard walked in on me when I was in college. I was having sex with a guy in a public place and apparently I was being too loud. It was pretty embarrassing.
34. Have you ever stolen anything?
No, I have never stolen anything. Except fries from my friends’ plates.
