“You’re sure this isn’t like cultural aprosomething to use all this as inspo for my sister’s wedding, right?” Tia asked Gizmo, digging around in her tiny backpack to trade her regular pink gel pen for a glow in the dark one so she’d be able to try her best to take notes as she and Gizmo visited the Haunted House as part of her last minute Annie Wedding research. One of the benefits of helping to plan the world’s most annoyingly teeny tiny wedding ever was that when she and Annie weren’t entirely satisfied with the wedding she’d come up with, Tia still had time to scrap everything and try again without really freaking out about how long it was going to take to get done in time. So far Gizmo had been great at giving Tia all kinds of creepy scary ideas to present to Annie, but the only thing scarier than the haunted house they were going to walk into was the idea that this wedding could get her “cancelled” for being problematic.

“Cultural appropriation?” Gizmo clarified, getting their vlog camera ready in their hand. “Nah. At least I don’t think so. Maybe Rini would have a different answer, but I doubt it.” They shrugged, “We want everyone to celebrate Halloween, that’s kinda our deal.” Gizmo walked alongside Tia, about to enter the haunted house. They were pretty sure they weren’t going to be scared, but they weren’t so sure about Tia. “You okay?” They asked, about to press record on the camera. “This is going to make for some awesome Halloween content, I’m so excited.” They turned the camera around on themselves, pushing record. “Hey, everybody! It is the spookiest and best month of all and in preparation for the most scream-tastic wedding, Tia and I are about to go through this haunted house for ‘research purposes’.” They turned the camera on Tia, “Are you excited?”

Giselle: Good idea! I could tie in a back to school haul with that too. I’m trying to do a variety of videos but sometimes it’s so hard to find inspiration. I’ve been trying to message Teddy Milne about a candle collab but I’m not totally sure he knows how to check his inbox LOL.

I wanna know everyone’s plans – just kidding, no I don’t, because I’m throwing an epic party for all the kiddos too young to go to the big Alley Way bash and too old for the fuckin Snuggly Duckling. I’ve fallen into a hole of true crime podcasts and now I can’t sleep with the lights off. Love that for me. This is almost as bad as when my cottagemates were out of town after I went and saw Us (2019).

Okay, but can we put a hard stop on talking about how the bugs moving around inside the burlap sack feels. I’m just thinking about that and gagging a little. We’d need a cute and clever title for all these panels, too. Like, they can’t just be called “Come talk to a burlap sack and a lion”, you know?

Oh, rad! Who would come to WaltCon? People who live here or people from the real world who just want a taste of what it’s like? Cause that opens the doors to having weird VR Walt experiences where people put on goggles and have to navigate a world with no magic. Pop-ups all throughout the real world, wouldn’t that be weird?

Maybe a little bit of both? We don’t talk enough around here about what we’re all like when we’re not human. If we did, nobody would be friends with Rini. Speaking of VR, we could totally make VR experiences for everyone’s homes and kingdoms and so the homesick can feel at home and the curious can get a taste. We’d have to market Halloweentown for not the faint of heart, though. Don’t want anyone passing out in a headset or anything.

Okay I do have the organization skills for this kind of thing and !!! That’s brillz? I think I’d have to talk it over with FG since making it like for real for real profitable would definitely involve making sure there’s enough space and stuff to bring people here from the outside. Plus we’d prefer to avoid a tanacon or Caroline Calloway sitch, yanno. But gosh, have I mentioned how brillz this idea is? I only wish you’d thought of it sooner so it could’ve reasonably happened this summer!

I’m glad you think so! I think I’ve just kinda been under the impression that FG is an all powerful being this entire time because I didn’t even think about Walt not having the space. I just assumed she could like, magically expand it. Oof, Tanacon. What a scandal that was. Yeah, definitely don’t want a bunch of angry sunburned teens demanding their money back.

I’m surprised no one has tried to throw a WaltCon yet. There could be a special VIP @ Pack party, booths for all the artsy kids, panels discussing what it’s like to grow up a fairy, or a mermaid, or dead, etc. Sounds like a gold mine to me, but I don’t have the organizational skills to plan it. I guess I’ll save that sort of thing for the regular human Youtubers who exist outside of a magical town.
