He scrunched his face up at the word ‘semen’ and for some reason it made him shudder. Key found it sad that he couldn’t have his own kids. He himself knew there were loads of kids out there that needed families and so if that were the lifestyle he was ever going to have, he would probably adopt. 

"You love him too. I already love him." He told him with a smile, pouncing over to his side of the bed and wrapping his limbs around him again. He was tired, and uncaring about the consequences. He was just happy to be reunited with his best friend again. He tucked his head beneath the older mans chin, drawing his hands up by his face and closing his eyes. "Night Hyung."

"I know I love him more than he could know," Jongsuk cuddled into him like a koala."Night Bummie," His eyes closed gently and before long he was snoring softly. Cuddling tightly into Key now and then, mumbling nonsense. It was the first time in a long time he felt like he had had a good night sleep.He was woken up by Seungbin crying. He saw that Key was stirring beside him so he went off to deal with Seungbin.

After changing Seungbin he came back into the bedroom with Seunbin in his arms trying to settle him back to sleep. Jongsuk and Seungbin ended up sleeping together Seungbin resting oh his chest!

Key couldnt help but laugh when he came back, his eyes scrunched up and he had to hold his stomach, the ugly high pitched laugh leaving his mouth at how ridiculous Jongsuk looked. “H-hyung- haha.” He let him have his inhaler because countless times as a child he had watched him wheeze, when they had both been trying to keep up with the other kids as they ran around, Key would always stop when Jongsuk got out of breath. 

He rolled onto his stomach and leant his chin on his chest, watching him intently. “I can take you out ahjussi it’ll be fun.” Although Jongsuk probably wouldn’t approve of his party filled life he could help him not to feel so isolated again. “Why can’t you have kids hyung?” Key had never been good at science or anything academic so he didn’t really understand these things. However he understood it to some extent. “He’s the next best thing though because you do share some of the same blood. Sharing blood isn’t everything, my grandma adopted me and she’s so much better than my mother ever would’ve been.”

Jongsuk slapped the back of Key's head, "Call me ajusshi again and you're dead," he began patting where he had slapped. It would nice to go out with Key but he had no time whatsoever. "Well I was born like this, my semen has a low sperm count making it impossible for me to have kids of my own," Jongsuk made a small sigh. Key's grandmother was a wonderful woman he always had fond memories of her, "You share blood with your Grandmother too,"

He looked over at the baby who was sound asleep, "He would be better with his parents though," Jongsuk's voice cracked a little. "They loved him so much," He really had never had time to properly grieve. "Yah! this is too sad come on and cuddle me to sleep I'm tired!"

Key rolled his bottom lip out at him slightly. “You’re my only friend.” That was a lie, of course, he had other friends, kind of… It would be strange for him to admit that he was best friends with the school doctor, but then again it made sense, considering how likely he was to be sick all the time. 

He was uncomfortable with being restrained, after what had happened with Jonghyun he felt odd whenever he was trapped in any sort of compromising position especially when the bruising on his lip hadn’t completely disappeared. But he growled back at him, reaching over for his inhaler. 

"You want it?" He asked softly, stretching the waistband of his pyjama bottoms and dropping it down there. "You’ll have to get it." If Jongsuk was in any kind of danger from loss of breath he’d give it to him, but he wanted to mess with him first.

"Yah...give it...back," he wheezed, but he stopped himself from touching Key's area to grab it. He stood up and left the room. He returned with a face mask, medical gloves and a pair of tongs. He staggered over to Key pinning him down. "We... can do this .... the easy... or the hard...way," he gave up and grabbed the inhaler using the tongs. Once it was in his hands he took a gulp of it.

He flopped onto the bed and rolled into Key, "Don't tease me like that Kim Kibum," he got under the covers and tucked himself in like a mummy. "I feel lonely 5 months ago I was a social butterfly now I'm a dad, I feel old and uncool," he closed his eyes sighing. "It's ironic really...a few days before my sisters accident I found out...I couldn't have kids. I'd kind of accepted the fact I would never have a kid whose blood was like mine,"

He smiled at Jongsuks efforts but he knew in reality that he had no real power to protect him from whatever the hell was going on behind the scenes. His eyebrow quirked up at him, the one with the scar running right through the middle of it and made room for him on the bed. 

He waited for him to lie down before crawling over to him on his hands and knees, settling himself down and kneading at the covers for a moment to get comfortable. “Hyung.” He murmured, letting his guard down because Jongsuk had always seen through whatever act he tried to pull over everyone elses eyes, the harsh, spiteful Key when in reality he was just pitiful little kibum. “I missed you.” 

He sat himself down on his chest and rolled onto his back until he was smiling at him upside down. He watched him for a moment, studying how much he had changed but he still had that mole beneath his eye and the same comforting smile. He reached out to squish his face between his palms, meowing at him quietly.

Jongsuk laughs as Key rolled all over him and squished his face when the boy started meowing he meowed back then taking a bite at his hand.  "Of course you missed me I'm your best friend!" he starts petting Key's hair like he's a cat. "I missed you," he softly touched Key's scar knowing that it was the thing that brought them together.

He rolled over pushing Key under him his arms straight looking over him, "I'm the pride leader kid don't forget," he made a roar noise and proceeded to pretend bite Key's arms. In the end he ended up laughing hard. Made to hard he started wheezing and coughing.He flopped onto his back and lay there for a moment.

"We're...both so...pitiful," he gasped looking for his inhaler.

Key wondered if Jongsuk knew more than what the students did. He honestly didn’t know what to believe. “Do you think it’s true?” He whispered, leaning his chin on the edge of the bed, blinking down at him as his hand swung, overhanging the side of the bed. “If it really happened to Ren, then i’m definitely next, i’ve broke all the rules in the book.” He rolled onto his back and yawned. 

What he said next had him glancing back down at him, frowning before reaching over and flicking him right in the middle of his forehead. “I’m not going anywhere.” He assured him. If he was going to die, or anything drastic along those lines, it would’ve happened by now.

Jongsuk gave a small nod, "I think it's true Bummie, but don't be scared!" He would try and keep what he knew about the situation to himself. "I will make sure nobody touches you," he stood up with the covers and shuffled into bed beside him. "Don't complain! Trust me things will be okay! That school needs me!"  he pulled Key so he was cuddling into him. This way if Key had a seizure during the night he'd wake up.

"Let's get some rest then okay!" he smiled rubbing Key's head, "Cheer up okay!"

Key had gone back to hugging his knees once Jongsuk had left. He was scared to have brain surgery, they had offered it when he was younger, they couldn’t do it right away because he was too small and they wouldn’t be able to tell if they were operating on an important part of the brain until he was fully developed. But then his seizures had gone away, at most he had one every two weeks, but now they were worse, more like twice a week. 

He shivered when he got out of the water, fragile, teeth chattering as he wrapped himself up in the towel. He slid the pajamas on and the hung awkwardly on his body, rolling the sleeves up and tying his hair up in an apple ponytail. “But hyung, didn’t you hear what happened with Ren and that teacher?” He didn’t know how much of it was true, but he knew that if he slept in Jongsuk’s bed, no one would believe it was innocently, Key was one of the biggest whores on campus. He didn’t want Jongsuk to get taken away. 

"I slept with faculty once, someone saw us the next day he disappeared, no one has seen him since." He wiggled himself until he was sunk among all the pillows.

Jongsuk looked at Key with deep brown eyes, could he tell Key what he knew or should he keep his mouth shut. He was tempted to phone the school and ask if he could stay in the room with him but it was risky. He let out a soft sigh and left the room without saying a word. When he returned he was carrying a large amount of covers. He placed them on the floor between Seungbin's cot and the bed Key was sleeping in. "Happy?" he asked flopping on the floor.

"I know what happens when people break the rules, I know far too well," he sighed again as he made himself at home on the floor. "I have a kid to look after I would never do anything if I thought it was risky,"

Jongsuk lay on the floor thinking about how he had lost what he had loved too many times, "I can't lose you Key,"

Key looked startled when the jets were turned on as if some giant sea creature was in the bath with him and he tried to move away from them but they violated him from all angles. It was officially the fanciest bath he’d ever been in, in his entire 22 years. “SURGERY? Like brain surgery?” He stared at him in awe, and somewhat horror that he’d even suggest that. Too many risks. 

He sunk down into the bubbles until only his head was visible, wide eyed and pale he tried to get used to his bath tub. His hands emerged to reach for the baby and dipped him in to the water slightly.

Seungbin giggled but slowly began to stop, the little thing was so tired. Jongsuk took him out of Key's arms and took him out of the bathroom and fixed him for bed. Suk returned to the bathroom and sat at the edge of the tub. He switched the jets off because Key looked like he was being thrashed about. He really looked ill,"Operating is the only thing I can do other than medicate you heavily, look don't think about it tonight kiddo, you look so sick,"

His fear was Key was going to have seizure then and there, "Bummie I think you should rest,"  he helped Key out handing him a towel and once it was wrapped around him he didn't hesitate to lift him up. He placed Key onto his own bed and then handed him pajamas. "You might not like it but your sleeping beside me tonight, your family and I'm scared for you Bummie,"

Key bounced his leg where it was crossed over his knee, and despite himself he broke out into a smile. He couldn’t take him seriously not when he was standing there like that, the most fatherly person in the world and he found it adorable. He stood up and went to hug him from behind, squeezing him tightly and making faces at Seungbin over his shoulder. 

In truth the seizures were making him feel bad on a daily basis. “If they don’t go away, i won’t be able to debut because flashing lights sets me off and if people are taking pictures of me it’ll trigger a seizure.” Just last week he was in a club and the strobe lights were put on and almost instantly he’d dropped to the ground. He reached over to sheild the babies eyes. “No looking seungbin-ah.” He stepped out of his clothes, uncaring about Jongsuk looking because Key had no shame, and he was a doctor after all, he’d seen it all before. He stepped into the bath, it was slightly hot and scolded his skin slightly. He sat down with his knees drawn up against his chest, hugging them tightly.

He gave a warm smile as Key hugged him Seungbin giggled at Key's faces splashing the water. Jongsuk gently began to soap Seungbin who was now chewing on Ung the Octopus. Jongsuk continued to smile at Seungbin but he sounded worried when he spoke, "Have you thought about surgery?" he asked as Key got into the tub. He looked in as Key seemed to curl up, leaning over he switched the jacuzzi jets on."You should relax Key! Do you want me to call my masseuse tomorrow? Your muscles must be really tired,"

After Seungbin was clean Jongsuk lifted him up and smiled at Key. "He loves the bubbles do you want to hold him in with you, it might cheer you up hearing him laugh,"

Key scrunched his nose up at him. Even if Jongsuk had been around it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. It was when Jongsuk left when he was about 10 or 11 that things went down hill, he had been his only friend and Kibum was bitter towards every one else. You either loved him or hated him and it was usually the latter. “It’s not that bad. You’ll hear worse things about me.” 

"I don’t feel that great, i’m tired all the time." He didn’t have a bath at the uni and so it was tempting. He reach out to touch Seungbin’s hair, before scowling up at him. "Theres no way you’re bathing me." He rolled his eyes at him,. prancing off into the bathroom and sitting on the edge of the tub. "Are you worried about my heart Sukkie? Or did you just want an excuse for me to come here?"

Jongsuk huffed, "I wasn't going to bath you I thought you might want to jump into the tub while Seungbin was in the sink," He began turning on the taps for the sink and the tub. Seungbin still crying a little in his arms, he hushed him gently. When Key doubted if Jongsuk was being professional or not he rolled his eyes. "Of course I'm worried, if I wanted you here and you were fine I would have straight up asked!"

He began looking for baby soap and one of Seungbin's octopus toys. "I might have a rather eccentric attitude towards things but I'm a professional Key," his stern face was cancelled out by the fact he was wearing a wash  mitt that looked and squeaked like a duck. "I'm concerned about you Key! Having so many seizures can't be having a positive impact on any part of you," He places Seungbin in the sink and handed him the octopus. "Isn't that right Bin Bin," the baby began to make little noises like babies do, "You tell uncle Key that he has to stay healthy,"

"Never?" Key let out his horrible high pitched laugh from where he was laying. "I can’t spend too much time with you hyung, you’ll get in trouble." He wasn’t just saying that but speaking from experience. He tried to think about what he had been doing, stretching out across his lap he frowned. "Trying to stay out of trouble, trying to stay alive. Getting into gangnam was probably by biggest achievement." He made a tiny noise when he touched his hair, and combined with the content smile he gave him it was very feline. 

The question was out of the blue but he threw his arms up in the air dramatically anyway. “Yeah i am! isn’t it obvious.” He was wearing the most floral skin tight jeans he’d ever seen in his life, and although the pattern was ugly, he somehow pulled them off. “No, i lost my virginity when i was 14.” He scowled at him and reached over to slap him on the stomach. “Of course you’re kidding, theres no way you would be.”

He continued to pet Key's head playing with his hair he ignored the comment about getting in trouble and just smiled as if to say I w will do what I want.His smile dropped when he heard 14. "What! 14... I wish I could have protected you," it seemed so young to lose your virginity. "It is obvious you like guys I just thought maybe you like girls too," he pretended the slap really hurt. "YAH! that hurt," he petted his lip like a baby.

"How are you feeling kiddo," he felt Key's head "Do you want bath!" just then Seungbin began to cry and something clicked. "I forgot to give Seungbin his before bed bath," He ran into his room and picked up the baby cuddling him. "Bath time for my babies!" he cooed.

Key was surprised that he had actually looked for him. He would’ve looked for him too but he didn’t know where to start. “Really?” He allowed himself to smile for once, slinging his arms around his neck and rolling himself on his back, stretching his legs out over his lap lazily. “I want to go to china.” He’d only ever been on a plane once and that was recently. 

He scowled at him when he touched his piercing, batting his hand away. “Hyung, don’t touch it!” He laughed, leaning away from him. He lifted his shirt up though and his once milky pale skin was now added to with the big silver bar that went through his nipple. “I was drunk, it’s horrendous, but it’s growing on me, you know?” He could see how it might work to his advantage, it was pretty kinky.

"I'll take you one day I promise, I'm never letting you out of my sight again!" he smiled as Key made himself comfortable. He laughed when his hand was batted away. "I like it , it looks cute," he tug Key's shirt down. It was weird seeing Key all grown up now. "We have to catch up more, like what have you been doing all these years,"he began softly combing his hands through Key's hair removing tugs.

"Your gay right?" it was kind of obvious Key was gay but he was curious maybe he swung both ways like Suk did! "Bet you aren't a virgin like I am," he chuckled. "I'm kidding about the virgin thing by the way!"

Heading to the kitchen with Seungbin in his arms, Kyuhyun reached for the baby bottle and smiled. “Aww, Sukkie….did you take your meds?” he asked, as he fed Seungbin. He always tried to be as useful as he could to his cousin, but with him working almost full time and doing musical work on the side, he couldn’t be around all the time.

As Jongsuk asked him to toss his inhaler, Kyuhyun reached for it, balancing the baby in his arms and tossed it to him. His heart broke seeing his cousin like this. He remembered that the other nursed him back to full health after his accident in China and his broken heart from his romance. “It breaks my heart, Sukkie~”he said, smiling a bit.

Kyuhyun had a feeling that he would be busy babysitting both of them today, so he simply got comfy in the armchair, feeding Seungbin, cooing at the baby occasionally.

Jongsuk shook his head when he was asked if he'd took his meds. "I...keep  forgetting I'm so busy... Kyu it's not like they make a difference... I still have attacks," Jongsuks asthma was very hard to medicate. He took a few puffs of his inhaler but it didn't seem to help much. He suspected he had a chest infection currently which could make him very ill. Oxygen was beginning to seem like an option.

"Yah...don't say that, I will... have to fix it if it's broken," he coughed gasping a bit. He watched how gentle Kyu was with Seungbin and he smiled wide. "He's behaving well for you," Seungbin then began to slowly close his eyes cuddling into Kyu. Jongsuk wished he was in his arms he wanted to spend every second with him. He worked so hard he felt like he was a bad father. "Is he sleeping?" Jongsuk croaked wanting to hold him tight to him.

"Kyuhyun-ah, can you get... me a blanket I feel cold," the apartment was hardly cold at all and it was at least 25 degrees celcius outside. "A-and can ... you go down into the downstairs... to the clinic and get me some oxygen," it was always handy living above the clinic he co-owned.

Key’s lips twitched deviously when he warned him not to touch his abs. “Why?” He sung out, blinking up at him as innocently as he could manage. “Scared they’ll fall off?” He wanted a tattoo, he didn’t have a bucket list but if he did it would be one for breaking the rules and doing ever kind of reckless thing he could think of. If he wanted to succeed though he had to go into the industry with as little self destruction as possible. His nipple piercing was pushing it. 

"Hopeless." He spoke in perfect english and laughed. "Hyung you really are hopeless." He didn’t really know where he had gone wrong, he’d always looked up to Jongsuk and they’d always spoke about what they wanted to achieve when they were ‘grown up’ and he had achieved so much more, and he was slightly resentful of that fact. 

He didn’t really hug anyone other than his room mate. As a kid he’d hit the other kids in the hospital play room over the head with the purse he’d cried about until his grandma had gotten it for him, and they never approached him after that. But he’d accepted Jongsuk, and he had always been an exception to the rule. He moved to sit himself on his lap between his knees, wrapping his arms around his neck tightly and leaning his chin on his shoulder. “I missed you hyung. I wish you’d found me sooner.” It probably should’ve been awkward but it wasn’t, even if he was pretty certain the nipple piercing he was trying to hide from him was digging into his chest.

Key seemed to be doing well for himself he was out living life becoming an idol, Jongsuk felt envious. Key wasn't tied down to anything Jongsuk was. He had a kid and a stressful job and not to mention only a few friends. When Key called him hopeless he nodded agreeing. He had no hope in ever feeling truly at ease with his life. "I am hopeless that's why I need you, and don't throw your English around or I will start with Chinese,"

Jongsuk was a quiet kid he spent a lot of his childhood not running around with other kids but inside studying. He was in hospital a lot Jongsuk , his asthma was and still is very hard to control and attacks happened a lot. Key was a kid he felt like he had to protect and hold. "I was in China until last year, but I did look for you," He pressed his lips on Keys head.

"Yah! What's that on your nipple?" he touched it feeling the metal. "Did you get it pierced?" Jongsuk found that sexy but he tried to hold back his opinion.

Key clung onto the baby, trying to look down at him while he slept until his chin wrinkled into a double chin and he swayed where he was sitting until the baby fell asleep. “Yah, i want a baby.” He whispered into his hair, but he knew he would be worse than Jongsuk, he didn’t have time for himself, time wasn’t even the problem, neither was his career, he just wasn’t responsible enough. He put the baby in his crib ad returned back to the living room, stretching out on the couch with his arms behind his head, one thigh thigh slung over the other. 

The take away menu’s hit him straight in the face and bounced off into his lap but that didn’t stop him from gawking at him. “Shit, hyung you got hot.” He scrunched his nose up at him and rolled his eyes with disappointment. “How come i ended up like this.” Key had always been ridiculously thin and gaunt. He flipped open the menu’s and scanned them, feline eyes narrowed as he tried to decide what he wanted. 

"Pizza." He decided, shoving the menu in his face at the same time as he reached out to touch one of his tattoos (and his abs on the way). "Wow, do they mean anything?" He poked at it.

Smirking he patted at his muscles "I workout to relieve stress, I have a lot of stress," He patted Key's cheek, "It's cause you are sick but don't worry kiddo you are pretty flawless in the face department," he gave a small hum as Key touched his abs, "Careful," he muttered slowly. He didn't want Key to touch him like that it made him miss being wanted by someone. "My grandmother always said I had a sparrow heart, no clue what it meant but thats why I got the sparrow here," he touched the sparrow on his neck which was always covered by clothes. "On my chest I have 'hopeless' it means hopeless, my english is terrible but it sounds nice," he turned to show Key the anchor on his arm "I was in the navy for my service so I thought this would be a cute way to remember it,"

He took the the leaflet and called for a pizza, after he was done he sat beside Key cuddling into him. "Do you want to spoon like we did when we were kids,"  Key was 10 and Jongsuk was 14 last time they had snuggled up. "Yah! Hug me close!"

It was 9:30pm and curfew for students had passed. Jongsuk was standing outside watch the sun grow lower in the sky. It was nice days like this he missed his sister. It was as if he could see her dancing in the suns rays. He was lonely he needed more friends. Just as he turned to back in he saw a figure out of the corner of his eye. He walked quickly towards it seeing that the person was a student. He grabbed the boys collar almost dragging him backwards. "Looks like we have a rule breaker, do you know how bad the consequences of staying out after curfew," he pulled him by the wrist into the building. He was about to lecture him when he saw the boys sweet face. He sighed he couldn't bring himself to shout at him. "I'm sorry, look just give me a good excuse and I'll let you off,"

Zhou Mi followed the doctor’s orders and did what he had to, breathing in deep breaths when instructed to. He was sick, that was certain, but hearing it from a doctor made the realization of it all set in. 

He laid down when told to, and couldn’t help but smile at his doctor. For a professional, the man sure didn’t act like it sometimes. Zhou Mi figured that it must have been their close relationship. Hugging the stuffed octopus, he looked away from the arm where the IV was being placed in. Despite his many trips to the emergency room and OR, he still had a great fear of needles.

Once the needle was in he patted at Mimi's hair. "You can be so cute sometimes," he sat for a moment petting Mimi's hair gently. "Do you need water or anything?" he asked as he looked in the mini fridge which he kept stocked with energy drinks and health drinks. He pulled out some water and handed it to him. "So have you been talking to Kyu since you got here, or is it still awkward?" making chit chat seemed like a good idea.

Just then his phone rang "Hello, yes sure, mmh okay," he hung up and smiled at Mimi. "The babysitter is dropping off my son here, I hope you don't mind?"
