Like a lightning bolt would it suddenly don upon the god as to why the girl before them seemed so familiar. Why they swore they’d seen this face once or twice. It was none other than the one who’d been kind enough to help and stay with their darling granddaughter when she’d been the victim of a prank pulled by an observer ( a prank that was in poor taste no less ). “ Your name is Chris, yes ? My, how unexpected to meet you ! “ Like an overzealous puppy would the King’s eyes light up as they looked at the other, crimson gaze scanning over the girl’s face as if she were some piece of fine art. They almost felt tempted to reach out to her and perhaps poke her face, affirm that the process of materialization had gone smoothly and hand’t messed up ( jumping from the home realm to another wasn’t something they did too often ), but they opted to hold back instead. They probably already seemed strange enough, be it they thought their behavior odd or not.

due to King’s circumstances as the Ruler of the Observers, a being who may as well be the key to maintain the universe, their body is essentially within a constant resting state, a coma some would even call it. most functions are shut down and are to remain that way. however they aren’t exactly a sleeping beauty. true they may be restricted from using their body, but that doesn’t mean they have to remain within it at all times. or at least not all of them. it’s not surprising for the Ruler to be both within their home realm and another. Thanks to the powers granted to them they can momentarily leave their body in favor of one of many vessels.

they stick to three primarily. one is that of an interesting and uniquely made doll, something a cross between a traditional doll and a ball jointed one. while this particular body is considered their most used one when in the realm of the Observers, it’s seldom used anywhere else unless they are accompanied by one of their sentient vessels. Observers deemed useless are often executed, or taken in by King and instead act as both servants and their body. in truth King detests possessing others and using them as a meat puppet but, at times it is needed. one vessel had taken it upon himself to both alter their appearance and dress in a similar manor to King, while another has remained the same child they were before. when it comes to frequenting other realms King will typically possess whichever one they feel would be more likely to go unnoticed. so it’s rather normal to see an almighty being seemingly become a child.

they can only inhabit these particular bodies for a short time however, least the souls and minds within begin to vanish or merger with their own, an act that would be incredibly hard to undo.

i’m too tired to make a fancy promo (as usual), so i’m just gonna stick to this. anyways though, please like / reblog if interested in interacting with an original character of an original canon + lore. this character is (fairly) simple but the lore is a Mess given it deals with things like multiple universes and alternate timelines and how everything is pretty much dictated by some cryptic race of god like beings simply called ‘ observers ‘. if that rings a few bells than that’s cause i’ve made blogs for other characters of this particular canon before. this specific oc is different from the others since they’re the ruler/god/boss of everyone who is 95% of the time a lethargic insomniac cause of Reasons(tm). they’re called ‘ King ‘, thanks to essentially forgetting their old name, and they’ve been tainted by taught new age humor by their technical granddaughter and are surprisingly pretty hip for a billion y/o celestial entity.
