Words repeating on Jinyoung’s head over and over, spiralling in his brain as he scrolled down your Instagram feed, looking at you sweetly smiling to the camera, the recent hiking trip you made with your best friend, the blurry mirror selfie you posted last night, in which he notices his old University sweater hangs on a chair in the background.
Jinyoung hated those words, even more because it was him who told them.
You tried your best to ignore as yet another kick of pain made you jolt as you walked, focusing on Jinyoung in front of you. Both of your hands rested against your bump, desperate to find a way to get the pain to stop so that you could be comfortable.
Looking back to you, a member of staff scoffed as they watched you try and keep your balance, not wanting to cause any fuss. His eyes intimidated you, making you sink back against the wall as you took several deep breaths in.
“Do you really need to take the attention off of your husband this much?” He asked you, moving you to one side. “We get your pregnant, no need to make a huge deal about it.”
Your eyes widened at his chilling attitude, “if you think all of this is just for a bit of attention then I’d love for you to try and feel what real pain is.”
His head shook, called over by his manager to pay attention as the third outfit change of the night for the group neared. You were left standing alone as you tried to focus on the show, but the pain that you felt was niggling more with every passing second.
Your eyes could barely focus on the boys running off the stage, noticing that your figure was being blocked by the member of staff. Your eyes shut, feeling as if you had no chance of even being able to let Jinyoung know that you were uncomfortable.
“Where’s Y/N?” You soon heard him ask though, unable to spot you anywhere.
The expression on the staff’s faces looked disturbing to Jinyoung, deciding to look past their shoulders. It was lucky that he did as he spotted you knelt down, hands pressed underneath your bump as the pain only worsened for you.
“Y/N? Are you alright? What’s wrong?” Jinyoung frantically asked you, pushing them to one side so that he could kneel down beside you. “Are you in pain?”
Your head shook back at Jinyoung as his hand rested against the small of your back. Straight away he knew that you were lying, looking back and calling the boys across to you hoping that they’d be able to help him out a little bit.
“You need to get changed,” you warned Jinyoung, noticing him still in his outfit for the previous set. “You’ll get into trouble.”
“I don’t care about my clothes Y/N, I care about you,” Jinyoung quickly reminded you.
As the boys all came over too, their expressions turned to worry. Each one of them knew you well, easily well enough to know when you were in pain and struggling especially.
“He’s not needed on stage anymore,” Jaebeom told you, placing his hand to Jinyoung’s left shoulder. “You can’t go up there when Y/N’s like this, we’ve only got five songs left, we can fill in the gaps and make things look normal, it’s not as if we’ve not performed a member down before.”
Your head shook as Jaebeom assured you both that there was no need to panic. “I’m sure if I can just get a chair to sit on to catch my breath, I’ll feel a lot better guys.”
Whilst you tried to convince the boys that there was no need to worry, they were far from sure at all. Jaebeom almost agreed, but as he looked between the rest of the boys, they all silently told him to put his foot down and keep Jinyoung right by your side.
The sudden realisation of what was going on soon crept up on Jinyoung as soon as Jaebeom stopped talking. “What if these pains are something more serious?” He asked anyone who would listen to him, “you’re only two weeks away from your due date, what if maybe this is the early signs of labour coming?”
As Jinyoung fretted, Jaebeom held onto him a little tighter. “Maybe you guys should go and visit the hospital rather than stay here, it’s too busy and loud for you Y/N when you’re in pain.”
“I wish you guys would stop worrying,” you frowned, raising your voice, only to quickly regret it. The pain heightened as you began to get irritable, having to quickly lean back down as you tried to stand, groaning underneath your breath in discomfort.
“There is no way you’re staying here,” Yugyeom told you as he helped Jinyoung to hold onto you and stop you falling. Jackson and Mark had already gone to get you some bits, whilst Youngjae and BamBam fought together as to who could get their phones quicker.
The reality soon began to sink in for you too as you sunk down in Jinyoung and Yugyeom’s hold. You could hear the impatience of the crowd growing behind the curtain, not to mention the disapproving stares you were getting from the members of staff who were waiting to carry on.
A sigh came from you as you felt your figure be lifted so that you were sat in a chair that Jackson had fetched for you. “I’m so sorry,” you sighed, unable to ignore the guilt that was eating away at you for bringing the concert to a halt.
“Don’t you dare apologise Y/N; you can’t help any of this. It’s natural, that’s all.”
Despite Mark’s best attempts to reassure you, you still felt bad, especially as all of them sat down with you. The staff tried several times to get back on stage, but each one of them refused to leave until they knew you had help.
“The fans are expecting you guys to finish the show, are you crazy?”
“We will finish the show,” BamBam told them as they approached again, “but we will finish the show when Y/N is taken care of. If you’re that concerned then one of you can go up there and explain to them that there’s been an emergency,” BamBam added, watching as the member of staff very quickly backed away from you all.
“We’re staying right here,” Youngjae smiled across at you, resting his hand against your shoulder, “you’ve always been here for the seven of us, it’s about time that we return the favour and be here for you as well Y/N.”
As you looked around at the seven of them sat around you, you couldn’t help but wonder how you got so lucky to have friends like them. Even as the ambulance came, they didn’t leave your side until you were laid in the back and comfortable with cushions.
They stood and they waved for as long as they possibly could until the ambulance left the arena, knowing that now they had a show to finally finish.
“What an eventful day,” Jinyoung laughed as he sat down beside you, bundled into the back of the ambulance by the boys who ignored your protests that you would be alright and that Jinyoung could join you once the show was done.
Your head nodded in agreement with him, “I know what you’re going to say to me, but I’m still sorry that it happened here. Of all the places and all the times, of course, our baby had to decide to throw a spanner in the works.”
“Clearly they’re just proving that they’re dramatic like you,” Jinyoung joked in reply to you, “making sure everyone knows that they like the attention.”
You poked your tongue out at Jinyoung just before another pain hit you, grabbing onto his hand and squeezing it once again. Jinyoung didn’t complain at all as you did so, allowing you to hold onto him for as long as you needed to until you laid back down again, knowing the pain of your grip was something that he was going to have to get used to.
“At least they’ll have a fun story as to how they came into the world,” Jinyoung smiled at you.
“Their daddy’s concert, who would have thought it?”

Immersed
You open your eyes to a sunlit room and familiar bedding.
Your head is a mess of realistic dreams and improbable memories. Flashes of Jinyoung coming in the middle of the night, confessing and caressing your face appear behind your closed eyelids.
It had to be real.
You blame the confusion on your hazy state, but the moment is cut by the same person who was previously kissing your face in your so-called dreams.
So it wasn’t a dream.
“Up already?” He asks, his steps feathery as they allow him to come closer. He sits by the bed and raises a hand to put your top’s strap back on your shoulder. “It’s still early.”
You rub the sleep from your eyes. The previous night is long gone and so are the worries coming along with the beginning of a new story; Jinyoung is your boyfriend again.
Rare are the moments when Jinyoung is so bare. His eyes are shining, his smile is pure and his body relaxed. He looks so appeased, now. “You look tired” is all you can utter as an answer.

Intoxicated
Your sofa is not comfortable. You never noticed how hard it feels against your back as you try to find a better position while watching questionable videos at 4 in the morning.
It doesn’t matter, rest is for people who can turn shut their brain off. You can’t. It’s been a month. A whole thirty-one days of going back to a life made of instant noodles and drooling on your favourite fluffy pillow.
Today is Friday and after numerous rejections, your friends gave up and stopped forcing you to join them into some fancy bar. It doesn’t feel right to be partying like this, especially when you feel like rolling yourself into your blanket like a burrito.
Your expression was soft as you glanced up, finally noticing hat the sun was beginning to lower. It was a sight that you had never tired of, a sight that you sought plenty of comfort from ever since you found yourself flying solo again, opting to enjoy a chance to relax for a while.
The sight of the sunset didn’t stop Jaebeom from playing on your mind from time to time. It had been a good few months since the two of you had separated, but despite everyone telling you that time was a healer, it didn’t feel that way for you.
Random moments after left you thinking, pondering how different things could be if you had Jaebeom by your side. Enjoying a sunset was something that you always hoped to do with him, but before the two of you got the chance to, you found yourselves going your separate ways, unable to see a way to make your relationship work.
You had found yourself heading to the park ever since, dumping most of your thoughts whilst you watched the sunset it. It was exactly what you needed, especially when one person in particular captured your attention.
“Hey…Y/N?”
You thought your mind was playing tricks with you as a familiar voice called out your name, but as you looked behind you, a familiar face stared down at you. A sheepish smile was on their face, not quite knowing what to do.
“Hi, how are you? You look well.”
“Y-yeah, I’m good, thank you.”
Your heart began to race the moment that your eyes landed on Jaebeom, as the feelings that you had soon came flooding back. Nothing had changed for you, he looked just as you remembered, if not even a little bit better.
“Can I sit?” Jaebeom asked you, “are you watching the sunset too?”
Your head nodded as you shuffled a little to make room for him, “I come down here most evenings after I’ve finished at work.”
“I can see why, it’s great here,” Jaebeom remarked as he took a seat down beside you. “Are you still doing your internship at that office by the café that we liked?”
A lot had changed since the two of you had last seen each other, with plenty to catch one another up on. As you began to tell Jaebeom that you’d ended up securing a job at the office, his smile grew, proud of how hard you had worked.
For a moment all he wanted to do was wrap his arms around you, but then he remembered. It felt as if the two of you had never been apart, but at the same time there was months of history behind you both, having never said a word to each other.
“I always knew that that place would want you,” Jaebeom smiled as soon as you finished speaking, “you used to come home with so many compliments.”
You smiled appreciatively back across to Jaebeom, a little uncertain as to how the right way to act around him was anymore. “Thank you,” was all that you ended up saying, choosing to be safe around him.
The two of you soon found yourselves falling silent, both staring across to watch the sunset instead. Your breakup hadn’t left you both hating each other, but it was still the elephant in the room for you both as you tried your best to be civil to one another.
You’d ended up deciding to go your separate ways after you found yourselves at two different stages of your lives. You were a little younger than Jaebeom, and whilst he wanted to think about settling down, you were still pretty keen to head out and explore.
As soon as the fans caught the slightest clue that the two of you were together too, your relationship was pretty doomed. You could never bring yourself to repeat some of the insults that were sent your way, still often hearing a few of them in the back of your mind.
If he could have changed how things would, Jaebeom would in a heartbeat. He hoped that your heart hurt like his did, he hoped that seeing him excited you like the way that seeing you had left him feeling nervous, and hopeful that it wouldn’t be the last time too.
“I’m glad to hear things are going well for you Y/N.”
Your eyes flickered as soon as Jaebeom spoke up, finding yourself listening to everything that he had to say. It had always been one of his favourite things about you, how much you paid attention and always listened to what he had to say.
“I still think about you a lot, I’ve been wondering a lot over the past few months, but I never wanted to reach out and ask,” he told you.
Your head nodded, still a little uncertain as to what to say. As much as you wanted Jaebeom to reach out, you had no idea as to how he felt about you, especially after your breakup too.
“Do you still think about me?”
His question took you slightly by surprise as your body tensed up. “I do,” you sheepishly told Jaebeom, watching as his eyes lit up. “It’s pretty impossible not to think about you when you constantly come up on my TV screens, releasing yet another incredible song.”
Your words made Jaebeom’s heart soar, struggling to control his smile as he listened to you, not wanting to let you see just how touched he was to hear you.
“I always knew that you’d smash it.”
“There’s always felt like there’s one thing missing from that though.”
You knew straight away who Jaebeom was talking about, feeling his stare intensify in your direction. There were so many times when Jaebeom wanted to have you by his side, enjoying the moment with him, but instead he was left wondering where in the world you even were.
“I’m so glad that I came down here tonight, I was thinking of just heading home, but I thought a walk would do me good,” Jaebeom told you, “it’s done me the world of good getting to see you, there’s been so much that I wanted to say to you over these past few months.”
You weren’t quite sure where Jaebeom was going with what he had to say to you until you felt a hand rest over yours. You didn’t react for a few moments, but after realising what Jaebeom was doing, you turned your hand so that it pressed against his.
“Let’s not do anything too quickly,” you warned Jaebeom, “if this is the two of us deciding to at least see each other past tonight, then I don’t want to rush anything Jaebeom. I don’t want a repeat of what happened last time between us.”
“I won’t let that happen, I promise you,” Jaebeom smiled in reply to you. “You have no idea how happy my heart is just being able to see you again Y/N.”
“I never thought I’d see you again,” you admitted, still stunned to see Jaebeom before you.
Although he had gone on to do plenty ever since the two of you separated, he still thought of you, still wished that things could have ended so differently between you both too.
“What are you doing tomorrow?” Jaebeom asked you.
Your lips pursed together as you thought momentarily, “that depends, what do you need to know my plans for?”
“It’s for a thing, it’s called a date, didn’t you know? I think we’ve been on one or two before.”
“It seems that I have plans for tomorrow now in that case.”
Mark always prided himself on the fact that he thought he knew you pretty well. The little signs that he’d picked up on were things he always tried to ignore, however as they progressed, Mark began to piece them all together.
“Everything alright?” He heard your voice ask, breaking him out of his daydream, running his hands gently across your tummy. “You look pretty lost in something?”
His head shook, offering you a soft smile to try and assure you that there was nothing to worry about. However, no matter how hard he tried, Mark couldn’t ignore the thoughts that were continuing to bother him, the thoughts that began to cloud so much of his day.
“Have you had any thoughts for dinner?” You proceeded to ask, choosing to change the subject when Mark came back into the room. “I’m not massive on cooking tonight, but there’s a new place just down the street, I think it does Korean too.”
“I don’t mind,” he hummed, “I can collect something, maybe head to the shop and buy a nice bottle.”
“Oh…there’s no need to do that,” you replied, instantly putting Mark’s back up against the wall. He glanced across at you, noticing how panicked you were, no matter how hard you tried to disguise the way you were feeling.
You were well aware of Mark’s hand moving across your tummy, trying to ignore it as best as you could, keeping your jeans as high as you could to hide any sign of the small bump that was forming.
“I really don’t mind, I’ve got to go and drop a present round at home anyway for mum’s birthday,” he continued to push, “what about the red wine you loved so much at Christmas?”
“I shouldn’t drink when I’ve got work tomorrow Mark.”
His head shook slowly, narrowing his eyes at how dismissive you were. For most people, your response would make a lot of sense, however, it was an excuse that had never stopped you from enjoying a glass of wine with your dinner before.
“What about a cider then? There’s the box that my uncle gave when we moved back that’s still full,” he continued to suggest, intrigued by how far he could try and push things.
As your hand reached across to push Mark’s hand away from your tummy, his suspicions were all but confirmed. He could tell you were growing suspicious of him too, whilst he liked to push things at the best of time, even you were aware of how hard he was pushing for this.
“I don’t want to drink,” you stated, turning away from Mark’s eyes. “For once maybe we could try and get through one dinner without having to drink. The alcohol can save for a family party or something perhaps.”
You tried to move away from the sofa, but Mark’s hand reached out for you. “This is very uncharacteristic of you, what are you trying to hide Y/N? What’s going on?”
“There’s nothing going on,” you whispered, unable even to convince yourself.
Mark huffed loudly, “so the fact that your pregnant is just nothing, is it? We’re just going to pretend that you’re not carrying a baby.”
“Mark,” you frowned, feeling his figure shuffle closer towards you. “I’m sorry,” was all you could say as he through his arms around you and pulled you tightly into his chest.
His lips pressed gently against the crook of your neck, peppering kisses against it several times. “You don’t need to apologise, I understand it. I guess I just got good at picking up on the signs before you had the chance to tell me.”
“I was going to tell you,” you quickly reassured him, before he could begin to worry. “I just wanted to find the right time, I wanted to make it special.”
“I know, but this is still perfect for me. And at least now I know why you’re not wanting me to go and buy that bottle of wine too.”
Your hand slapped against his chest, rolling your eyes at the wide smile that was on his face. He never failed to surprise you by how observant he was, you could never surprise him or keep a secret from him, Mark always managed to find a way to figure things out from you.
“I can’t wait to have a baby with you,” he whispered closely into your ear, “being back home, being with my family, I feel like this baby is going to be the icing on top of the cake. It’s going to complete my family, or should I say, our family.”
“I still feel like I’m living a bit of a dream right now with all of this.”
His chin rested carefully against your shoulder, “there’s so many things for us to do. We have to tell everyone; can you imagine how excited they’re all going to be? The family’s going to have another baby, everyone will be thrilled.”
Mark’s family especially were one of the first things you thought of when you saw that positive test. They’d been supporting you both since you moved back to the States, finally able to see how in love the two of you were with each other in person.
“We’ve still got plenty of time to worry about all of that.”
“This is really happening, isn’t it?”
“Of course,” you chuckled, “I can go and get some of the tests if you want me to, show you the several that I took.”
“No, don’t go anywhere right now,” Mark requested, snaking his hands down your shoulders to settle back around your waist. “I’m glad I’ve got the confirmation now.”
Your hands rested over Mark’s, intertwining your hands in with his gently. The light squeeze he gave you brought a smile to your face, unable to hide the blush on your cheeks.
“How does it feel to know you’re going to be a dad?” You asked of him.
Words failed him, but a loud chuckle of disbelief most definitely gave you the answer you were searching from him.
“I think I might need you to keep pinching me for a while,” he admitted after a few moments, “if you weren’t pregnant, I’d be throwing you around right now in excitement. It feels like the last of my dreams is coming true.”
“You’ve dreamt about this?” You asked in surprise, feeling your smile widen when his head nodded back at you.
His lips pecked against your cheek, “I didn’t want to say anything in case it never happened, but it’s always been something I’ve hoped and prayed would happen for us.”
“And now it is. In just a few months, we’re going to become a proper family, just the three of us together.”
Starting a family and looking to the future was something that had been on Mark’s mind for a while. Although he had his suspicions, to finally hear the words come from your lips, and be confident in feeling against your touch, knowing that his little one was growing inside was the greatest gift he could have ever wished for.
“The next few months are going to be crazy, but I can’t wait to experience it all with you.”
“Can you believe we’re going to be parents Mark?”
“I think it’s going to take a while for it to sink in yet.”

Mark and you had been dating for almost four years when you had found out that you were pregnant. The pregnancy hadn’t been planned, nor had it been something that either of you were really prepared for. The topic of kids had come up every now and again and you had both agreed to have a more serious conversation about this once your lives weren’t as hectic anymore.
Because having a baby while one was still an idol had definitely never been on the agenda.
Still, it had happened, and you had both agreed to keep the baby. Because even if you hadn’t wanted it at that specific time, didn’t mean that you didn’t want it at all.
A few months later, you gave birth to a baby boy that looked just like his father. The whole thing was a huge secret, only your families and a few selected members of JYP knew. Everyone knew that this would be a huge scandal if it came out, so it was all kept under wraps.
[UPDATE] Breaking: Y/N and Park Jinyoung are in a relationship
Dispatch released a new photo showing Y/N and Jinyoung heading into the JYP Entertainment building this morning to most likely meet with the company's PR team. Hours after this photo was posted to Dispatch's website JYP Entertainment released a statement regarding the rumor of Y/N and Park Jinyoung dating that was reported by Dispatch early this morning. See JYP Entertainment's statement below:
"Hi, this is JYP Entertainment and we are responding to the rumor that Got7's Park Jinyoung and Y/N are in a relationship. After talking with both artists they both confirmed that they were in a relationship previous to their debut . Y/N is still within the timeframe where the company strongly opposes relationships since she has only been active for the past two years since her debut and has continued to stay single to date.
JYP Entertainment plans to take strong legal action against the person(s) that hacked into our artist's personal account and violated their privacy. We will not settle and will punish the culprit to the furthest extent of the law along with any malicious commenters towards either artist.
For the time being Y/N and Jinyoung will be halting all activities until further notice. We ask that you give our artists privacy during this time.

Your hands were shaking as you saw the breaking article that was posted by Dispatch as they spread your personal photos for the world to see. You could feel the tears threatening to fall as the pit in your stomach grew heavier and heavier. The worst part wasn't that the world knew of your short lived relationship with Jinyoung but that the both of you had hid it from Jackson the entire time and he was going to end up finding out with the rest of the world. You didn't know who to call first, Jinyoung or Jackson.
Your eyes went wide when you heard the key pad on your front door chime as someone was entering the code to open it. It was no longer just your hands that were shaking but your whole body when the most important person in your life stepped into the entry way with a scowl.
"I can explain!" the words spilled out of your mouth before he could say anything.
"Oh please do, because I'm dying to hear the excuse as to why I had to find out that one of my closest friends and my cousin we're in a goddamn relationship!" Jackson yelled. You felt tears prick your eyes as Jackson yelled at you for the first time in years.
"Ge," you whined, "we didn't even date that long, plus it never got serious enough that we felt we needed to tell anyone. It wasn't that we deliberately hid it from you we just didn't think that it was worth possibly causing issues if it wasn't going anywhere." you pleaded with him to see the logic in your past decision.
"How recently did you two date?" he stopped pacing to look at you.
"We only dated for a few months in 2013 but we realized we worked better as friends. Not only that, but you were all set to debut and would have a dating ban. More importantly, there are no more romantic feelings between us and there hasn't been for years. We're just friends, that's all."
"You were 17 Y/N! He's 3 years older than you, what the hell were you thinking!?"
"Will you stop yelling at me!" you yelled back at him before tears spilled over. "Did you take even a moment this morning to think how I feel? My privacy was violated, yet again, because someone decided they wanted to hack into my cloud which holds extremely personal photos for me! I have my personal life being aired out to the entire world and you're yelling at me over something that ended years ago!"
You collapsed onto your couch as the fight left your body. You swore to yourself after your ex posted those pictures that you would never allow someone to make you feel violated ever again. It was gut wrenching that this was happening so soon afterward.
"Please tell me there are no revealing pics on that account." he said through clenched teeth.
You looked at him incredulously before Chinese spouted from your mouth in anger, "JESUS JACKSON! Let me reiterate what I told you when my ex decided to share those pics. I HAVE NOT AND WILL NOT SEND ANYONE NUDE PHOTOS!" your voice cracked as you screamed at him. With every word Jackson was saying you felt your resolve crumble just a bit more.
*beep beep beep beep*
You both looked towards your front door as the sound of someone entering the code into the keypad echoed where you and Jackson were currently standing in front of each other. You can only think of a few people that have the code to enter your apartment. As soon as you hear that familiar voice call out your name you feel the pit in your stomach drop to your toes. He had the worst timing.
"Why the hell does he know your code?" Jackson points at Jinyoung as he steps into the entry way before freezing once he hears Jackson's voice.
"Are you serious right now!? The entire group knows the code! You're the one that gave it to them when I moved in!" you responded incredulously.
Jackson's eyes never left Jinyoung as he ran his tongue along the inside of his cheek in irritation, "Let's sit and talk about this calmly so the both of us can explain it to you." Jinyoung said carefully as if talking to an animal that was easily spooked.
Jackson clenched his jaw before starting towards Jinyoung, "You always told me she was like your baby sister, asshole!" Jinyoung closed his eyes and sighed before opening them and getting ready for whatever Jackson was going to verbally throw at him. If punching him made Jackson feel better you were sure Jinyoung would let him just to try and diffuse the situation as much as possible and you know Jinyoung, he probably feels like some part of him deserves it for betraying Jackson.
You rushed over and put her hands on Jackson's chest to keep him from getting any closer to Jinyoung, "STOP!" you pushed against his chest as hard as you could only forcing him to take a few steps back, "I get that you're mad and I agree that you shouldn't have had to find out the way you did, but you know Jinyoung! Yes, I was seventeen but hell it's not like I was a child. If anything shouldn't you be glad that I dated someone like him!? You've known him for years and you know the type of person he is. He has always respected me and never pushed anything and Jesus it's not like we had sex!"
Jackson groaned at your last sentence and scrunched his face up in disgust, "For the love of god don't talk about you two hypothetically fucking"
Jinyoung reached his hand out and placed it on your shoulder and gently guided you to stand to the side so you were no longer between the two of them, "Look, we both we shouldn't have kept it from you. We know we should have told you from the very beginning but the relationship only lasted a few months and by the end of it we decided that there was no point in telling anyone about it since we both decided to break up. The relationship didn't last that long. Seriously, no one knew...not even our parents. We kept it strictly between the two of us."
Jackson ran his hand through his hair as he slowly began to pace and would throw a glance at the two of you before going back to pacing. Jinyoung turned to you with guilt ridden eyes, "Are you okay?" he asked softly before sighing a moment later, "Never mind, that's a stupid question." he grabbed your face between his hands and used his thumbs to wipe away the stray tears that seem to have fallen during your yelling match with Jackson.
Jinyoung dropped his voice to a whisper, "Hey, as soon as we're done here we're going to have to head to the company. I got a call from our manager and he told me to come get you and bring you with me since you weren't answering your phone." You didn't say anything and just nodded. He squeezed your shoulders and gave you his best attempt at a reassuring smile, "It's gonna be okay."
"Can you two not do that in front of me?" Jackson huffed.
It was the first time Jinyoung truly looked annoyed since he got here, "You mean comfort her? God forbid she feel like she actually has someone by her side and telling her it's going to be okay." he scoffed.
Jackson glared at him, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Do you not understand Korean?" Jinyoung's eyes narrowed and you closed your eyes and sighed knowing that his words would only rile Jackson up ever more.
"Stop it, both of you!" you tried to be forceful with your words but instead you just sounded exhausted.
"Think about it Jackson. Idols, especially girls, are absolutely ridiculed when dating rumors come out--"
"It's not a rumor." Jackson grumbled under his breath.
Jinyoung rolled his eyes, "Don't you think she's going through enough without the one person she counts on and is closest to making snide comments and making her feel bad when she's already feeling guilty as it is? We know we both fucked up and we don't expect you to just get over it in a couple of hours. We know you feel betrayed and that's on us and we have to accept that we hurt you and thing's will probably be strained for a while but I have never seen you let Y/N weather a storm alone, but that's exactly what you're doing to her right now. Y/N is also hurting, she had someone put private photos on the internet just to put her through hell all over again. Can you not put your anger aside for today and be there for her like we all know you should be? Y/N is strong but it doesn't mean that she doesn't need you to be beside her through all of this." You couldn't help the tears that welled up in your eyes at his words.
Jackson looked at you and before sighing in resignation when he saw you were fighting back tears, he walked towards you and pulled you into a hug and put his chin on top of your head. It was only seconds after he put his arms around you that you finally fell apart. Jinyoung stayed off to the side while Jackson brought both of you to the floor gently after your legs gave out as you sobbed into his shirt. "While i'm not happy about what I found out," you could feel him turn his head to look at Jinyoung, "I can promise you that everything will be okay. This will blow over and it will be forgotten about as soon as some other big news hits kpop."
Jackson consoled you for awhile until you were able to pull back without continuing to cry, "At least no one will be able to recognize you with how ugly your face looks from crying."
"Ya!" you replied in a hoarse voice as you smacked Jackson's chest lazily. You heard footsteps before you felt something being placed on your head and you pulled it off and looked at it. You realized it was the hat that Jinyoung was wearing when he showed up.
"You can wear this and just pull it down low to cover your eyes." he stepped back making sure to keep space between the two of you now that Jackson had calmed down.
"What about you?" you looked up at him and he just shrugged dismissively.
"I'm not worried about it, but we do need to leave for the company before the nagging calls start from management." you nodded at his words and both Jinyoung and Jackson helped you stand from the floor.
"Just let me get changed and then we can leave." You hesitated to leave when you realized you would be leaving the both of them alone together, "Ge, please no more yelling." you spoke softly with pleading eyes.
"Go change." Jackson motioned to your room with his head.
You chewed on your bottom look as you glanced between the two of them before giving Jackson a nod and turning towards your room to rush and get changed, you didn't want to leave them alone with each other longer than necessary.
(meanwhile in the living room)
Jackson waited until you closed your bedroom door before turning to face Jinyoung, "I don't know what the two of you will face while at the company but protect her, okay?" Awkwardness surrounded the two of them now that you weren't between them as a buffer. The two of them knew they would need to talk about all of this while you weren't around but both boys only had one thing on their mind at the moment, which was protecting you.
"That's a given." Jinyoung said making sure to catch Jackson's eyes so he knew he was serious, "I'll take care of her, just like I always have."
Jackson's jaw ticked and Jinyoung sighed, "I didn't mean it like you don't, so calm down. I'm just saying that nothing has changed and she's still my friend so of course I'm going to take care of her and make sure that the company doesn't go too far with their bullshit."
You came out of your room hopping on one foot trying to pull your other sock up, "Jesus, you're going to hurt yourself." Jackson came up beside you and held out his hand to help you balance, "you can spare a minute to put your socks on safely."
"I don't want to give them any additional reasons to scold me, plus I wanted to make sure you didn't get blood on my carpet."
"I'm not a neanderthal Y/N." Jackson huffed.
"Well you came in beating your chest like one." you mumbled to yourself while walking to put on your shoes at the front door but Jinyoung's attempt to cover his laugh made you realize that he heard you. You glanced back at Jackson while you were bent down slipping on the last shoe but he didn't look like he heard you and you breathed an internal sigh of relief. You would have to get used to walking on egg shells around him now and you weren't sure how to do that since he's never been this angry at you before.
Once Jinyoung stood upright after slipping his shoes on you took the hat he offered to you and put it back on his head, "I can use my scarf, I'd rather you wear your hat." you did your best to give him a smile that you hoped gave him reassurance on your decision. You pulled open the closet door by the front door and grabbed your scarf while Jinyoung was holding the door for you. You turned back around to look at Jackson before rushing towards him and putting your arms tightly around him.
Jackson wrapped his arms around you and rested his chin on the top of your head, "I'll be here when you get back, okay?"
You nodded into his chest, "I really am sorry." your voice was muffled by his shirt.
He ran his hand over your hair, "I know," he put his hands on your shoulder and gently moved you so there was space between the two of you, "but you really need to get to the company building. I'll see you in a bit."
You wiped at the stray tear and nodded your head before turning around and walking out the door with Jinyoung beside you.
You knew you were meant to smile as you made your way up the last flight of stairs towards Youngjae’s apartment. You were supposed to be happy for him as he announced his engagement to his partner, but you just couldn’t be.
As you walked into his home, noticing the celebrations already picking up with many of your friends there, your heart hurt. With Jinyoung across the room, you couldn’t help but let go of a sigh as you took everything in around you.
“We wondered where you were getting to,” Jackson grinned as he noticed you stood in the doorway, heading across to see you.
You smiled slightly across at Jackson as he took a sip from his glass, making the most of what Youngjae and his fiancée had laid out for their guests, swaying slightly as he stood beside you and let you know that he was happy to see you.
Before long, you found yourself surrounded by the rest of the boys too, stood to the side of Youngjae’s apartment as many of their other groups of friends filtered through, many of which you didn’t recognise at all.
A hand came to hold onto your arm as Jinyoung managed to stand beside you, turning you to face him. “You look like you don’t want to be here,” he pointed out as he looked across at you.
“I mean, Youngjae wasn’t exactly the first member of the group that I thought would get engaged,” you replied to Jinyoung, looking down to the ground to avoid his eyes.
Around Jinyoung, you didn’t care, but as Youngjae walked over to the seven of you, you knew that you needed at least seem as if you were happy, which you were, slightly.
“I’m so glad you came Y/N,” Youngjae grinned as he pulled you into a hug, “Jinyoung mentioned that you were busy at work, but I’m glad you chose to come and celebrate with us.”
Your head nodded in reply to him, having spent most of your afternoon sat in your office deciding whether to attend or not, you just knew that you couldn’t let Youngjae down.
“As if I would miss out on such a big occasion for you,” you laughed back across to Youngjae, feeling Jinyoung’s eyes on you throughout as he tried to figure where your sudden change came from.
“I just knew that she was the one that I wanted to marry, there didn’t seem like much point hanging around,” Youngjae smiled, looking around at the whole group, “I know we’ve only been together a year, but when you know it’s right, you just do it.”
“Do you?” You quizzed, subtly throwing your aim across to Jinyoung, “I’m glad that it only took a year to know what was right for you Youngjae.”
With Jinyoung continuing to stare at you, you excused yourself, knowing you’d stirred up something, deciding to walk across the apartment and get yourself a drink, only for Jaebum to follow beside you, sensing what was up straight away.
“Please don’t doubt him Y/N,” he asked of you as he picked up a drink with you, “Jinyoung loves you and wants to be with you, even though the two of you aren’t married yet.”
You smiled appreciatively back to Jaebum and his attempts to make you feel better. “It’s been six years Jaebum, and I’ve not received a single sign from him to even make me think that marrying me is something that Jinyoung wants to do in the future.”
A sigh came from Jaebum as you assured him that you were alright, encouraging him to return back to the group whilst you took a moment to compose yourself, not wanting to dampen the evening only for the sake of Youngjae who was having the time of his life.
“Did Y/N say what was wrong?” Jinyoung asked as soon as Jaebum returned to them all.
“Maybe you should go and speak to her,” Jaebum suggested in reply.
“Have I done something wrong?” Jinyoung pushed, but Jaebum didn’t answer, pointing across in your direction.
Jinyoung walked through the crowds and across to you, finding a quiet place of the apartment for the two of you to go. You followed reluctantly behind Jinyoung as he asked you to follow him, wanting to talk to you desperately.
“Can you tell me what I’ve done to upset you tonight Y/N?” Jinyoung outrightly asked you.
Your hand ran over the top of your head as you looked across to him, “look at us, and look at them Jinyoung, I always imagined that this would be us.”
As he looked around the room, noticing the many engagement decorations that were around the place, Jinyoung knew what you meant straight away. He was sure you two would be the first too, but then Youngjae came out with his sudden news.
“Being here and seeing Youngjae has made me worry whether getting married and forever is really something that you want,” you confessed to Jinyoung.
“Are you kidding me? Of course, I want forever with you,” Jinyoung assured you, reaching across to take a hold of your hand. “I think everyone expected us to get engaged first, but not getting engaged doesn’t change the fact that I adore you, and want to be with you, always Y/N.”
Your head nodded as Jinyoung tried his best to reassure you not to fret about how he felt for you. “I know we always said that we were in no rush, but all of a sudden we’re six years down the line and nothing really feels as if it’s changed at all between the two of us.”
Jinyoung knew you made a point as he squeezed against your hand, “I don’t want to propose for the sake of it, I want to do it at a time when it really feels like the right thing to do.”
“But when is that time?” You challenged, “are you really telling me that at no point during the last six years you’ve not wanted to get down on one knee in front of me.”
“I have, but it just never felt perfect to me.”
You nodded once again as Jinyoung spoke, “does that perfect time feel like it’s at some point in our future for you?”
Although Jinyoung’s head nodded, you couldn’t help but wonder whether he truly meant it or not. Seeing Youngjae get engaged had made you doubt a lot as you tried to figure out why your relationship seemed to be so stationary.
“Be honest Jinyoung, do you really want to marry me?” You asked him, “and you can say no if that’s what you want to say.”
His eyes went wide, feeling guilty that you’d think even for a second that his answer would ever be no. “I do want to marry you, but when it’s right for us, not right for everyone else around us, just because we’re working at a different pace.”
“I just wanted to make sure that it really is something that you want,” you weakly smiled as you took a step towards Jinyoung, “I never want to feel as if I’m wasting my time, or more importantly, wasting your time.”
Jinyoung’s head shook as he wrapped both of his arms around you, holding you tightly into his chest as he pressed several kisses the top of your head, ignoring the stares that you got from those around you at the party.
“Can we try and enjoy the rest of the night? For Youngjae?” Jinyoung asked you.
“I think so, for Youngjae, it’s the least we can do.”
Your eyes widened as soon as you felt a sharp pain in your stomach, grabbing onto the arm of Jaebum’s mum who was beside you. As her eyes looked down at you, the look on your face was one that was all too familiar for her, knowing exactly what was going on.
She quickly wrapped an arm around you, watching on as Jaebum carried on walking with the other boys, completely unaware of what was going on around you. His dad came up to your other side too, both of them helping you to the side of the corridor where you could catch your breath.
“You need to get to hospital,” his mum panicked, glancing across at Jaebum who was still oblivious. As her mouth opened to yell him, you grabbed her hand, shaking your head back across at her, not wanting to worry him whilst he was about to begin his rehearsals.
She did as you said, leaving Jaebum to head onto the stage and sort out the show for that evening whilst his dad got on the phone to the hospital. Your focus was firmly on his mum though who helped you breathe through the pain as best as you could.
“He can’t know,” you told her once you were calm, “I’ll wait until the show is done and let him come.”
“Let’s just hope this baby of yours doesn’t decide to arrive too soon in that case.”
It didn’t take long before the ambulance showed up, whisking you off to hospital as the pain continued to worsen. You felt bad leaving Jaebum, unaware of what was going on as the rehearsal started, but you knew you were capable of getting through the first few hours of labour without him.
And with his parents by your side, you soon felt settled once you were in your hospital suite. Although they were worried, concerned that perhaps you needed Jaebum after all, they didn’t want to make your mind up for you.
However, as the hours passed by, things seemed to be progressing much quicker than either of you could have imagined. “Do you think we should get in contact with him now?”
“The show will just be starting; he’ll only be an hour or so now.”
“But will the baby be the same Y/N? You heard what the midwife had to say to you.”
Your head and your heart told you two different things as you tried to make up your mind. You didn’t want to disappoint Jaebum’s fans by dragging him off the stage too early, but you also didn’t want to make him miss one of the best moments of his life.
“I don’t know what to do,” you cried out across to his mother, “I’m stuck.”
“Let’s see in an hour,” she smiled in reply.
Your head nodded as yet another contraction came, grabbing onto her hand as she encouraged you to breathe once again, squeezing onto your hand as you looked across at her.
“I think we need to call Jaebum Y/N, I’m no professional but if we don’t get in contact with him now, then I don’t think he’s going to have much time to get here before the baby does.”
Your head nodded back across at her, too pained to really pay attention to what she was saying, just trusting in what she had to say.
“I’ll give him a ring,” his dad spoke up from the end of the room, excusing himself from the room so that he could make the call out in the corridor.
A sigh of relief came from him as he heard Jinyoung’s voice on the end of the line as he spoke up, immediately telling him that he needed to get Jaebum off of the stage, despite the fact that they were in the middle of a performance.
“Is he coming?” You asked as soon as his dad returned moments later.
His head nodded as he sat back down in the chair his mother had placed in the back of the room so that you had plenty of space.
“Jinyoung managed to pull him off the stage, even though him and Youngjae were in the middle of a song.”
“Is he mad?” You instantly enquired, “I know he loves that song.”
His head shook back at you with a soft smile, knowing that the one thing that mattered to his son, was you. Nothing was more important than you and your baby, the performance could save for another day, even if the fans were a little unsettled.
Jaebum couldn’t get off the stage quick enough, barely giving himself the time to take his mic pack off before he made his way out to where the rental cars were.
“Let us know when the baby is here!” Mark yelled as Jaebum raced past them both.
His head nodded as he flagged down a member of staff, “tell the fans that I’m sorry for going.”
“You don’t need to explain anything to them!”
“Just get to the hospital,” Yugyeom and BamBam both yelled back out across at him, “worry about everything else going on over here once you call yourself a dad.”
In the back of the car that one of the managers drove, Jaebum was an anxious mess. He could barely sit still as the manager weaved in and out of the traffic as best as he could to get him to the hospital before his baby arrived.
Luckily for him, as he got to the entrance of the hospital, his dad was waiting for him, flagging Jaebum down as soon as the car door opened. He quickly led him to your suite, opening the door for him to race into, panic in his eyes.
“Y/N,” he whimpered as his eyes looked across at you.
“Hi,” you sniggered, offering him a soft smile.
His footsteps were gentle as he made his way over to you, peering into your arms to see a tiny human bundled up, instantly recognising the familiar cheekbones.
“I’m sorry I didn’t get here quick enough.”
“It’s alright,” you assured him, “I didn’t want to get you here too quickly, but I didn’t mean to get you here too late either, I hate that you’ve missed this.”
His head shook as he moved his arm around your shoulders, “you should have told me straight away, I didn’t want you to go through all of this alone.”
“Your parents were amazing, I never felt like I was alone.”
“I’m just glad you’re alright,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of your head, before running his finger over the top of your daughter’s head.
You watched on as Jaebum pulled his phone out of his back pocket, snapping a quick picture of her. After that, he found Jackson’s number in his phone, dialling his number and placing it immediately on speaker phone.
“Are you a dad?” Several voices yelled out as Jackson picked up, with the cheers of the fans still going on in the background.
“I’m a dad,” Jaebum cheered, meeting your eyes as he spoke, with an eruption of applause soon coming from the other end of the line.
“Well done Y/N,” you heard Jinyoung call out as he tried to snatch Jackson’s phone out of his hand, “we’ll wrap up here and see you guys as quickly as we can.”
“Your niece is waiting for you guys,” you quickly told them all too.
“She’s our baby ahgase now,” Mark grinned, “the littlest fan of Got7 that there ever was.”
