Again Gorrell uses the John Donne line “ask not for whom the bell tolls. This time reversing it to attack teachers for daring to ask for safety measures and to be prioritized for the vaccine before returning to in person teaching. 

The cartoonist, safely working from home, attacking teachers for not wanting to get Covid at work.

If you wanted kids back in school so badly, you should have told your readers to wear masks, maybe then we’d have the virus under control.

This is a meme. Editing existing artwork, instead of redrawing it in your own style is a meme. 

The right’s entire platform is constantly pretending to be the victim, and pretending their views are being silenced(despite having TV networks,radio stations, websites, and being invited on just about every other news network), while simultaneously yelling at actors and athletes to stick to what they do instead of expressing their political opinions. 

This David Horsey cartoon is an example of referencing Normal Rockwell without copy/pasting the original painting.

This it as hollow as it is lazy. Why use a hat? and why that hat? Shouldn’t it be half Trump hat half women’s march pink pussy hats? People on the other side don’t wear blue hats, so what you are asking with this cartoon is for people to meet these domestic terrorists half way? “Can’t we just compromise with the people who tried to overthrow the government?”

What exactly is your side willing to do to unite the country? I seem to remember over the summer when people were protesting against police violence that any hint of rioting or looting was used as an excuse to not have to address the issue of police killing black people. Why now do we have to listen to people who still believe the election was stolen.

When are you going to take responsibility for your role in creating the conditions for what happened January 6th?

What is this cartoon supposed to mean? I figured it was Gorrell whining, like the rest of the right wing cartoonists this, about twitter banning Trump and GOP members losing some twitter followers because twitter cracked down on some Nazis and white nationalists accounts.

But the foot is labeled ‘Dems.’ what is that supposed to mean? is this in response to the planned 2nd impeachment? Does Gorrell think Democrats control twitter? and why is there blood? How is banning someone for breaking a clearly defined rule of “no threats of violence” equal to murder?

Making jokes about masks isn’t helping. Over 15,000 people have died in the last 7 days alone, and the misinformation coming from the right is responsible.

The talking points these days seem to be “businesses are hurting from not being able to open due to these Covid restrictions! We have to get rid of these regulations!”

but the reason these business are closed isn’t due to restrictions, it’s the people who aren’t wearing masks or taking social distancing seriously that are prolonging the pandemic.

CDC director Robert Redfield said back in July that if everyone wore masks Covid would be under control within 4-8 weeks.

it’s now December and the pandemic is worse than it’s ever been. The GOP has been whining about Thanksgiving and Christmas being canceled and about how people can’t go to church, but they only have themselves to blame.
