Empire State of Mind // Dylan & Selena.
After they had pulled up in front of their hotel, Selena made her way out of the car, taking in the scenery. It was a bit chilly, the mid-November air hitting against her delicate skin as she wrapped her coat around her torso tighter. From the entrance of the hotel, standing by the gold framed doors, they had quite a view. The city's famous skyscraper buildings stood, and a bridge was in sight, revealing a skyline with the mixture of orange, pink and purple as the sun was getting ready to set. She looked towards Dylan, waiting for him until he finally got to her side. When he was in reach, she gave him a smile and held on to the carry-on bag she had previously in the backseat.
Honestly, she couldn't believe she even had indescribable feelings for this boy, nonetheless going with him to the one and only New York City. It was like it was taken straight out of some rom-com chick flick. Except for the part where they were trying to find their way there. Selena and Dylan bickered about which street was which, like an old married couple. When they finally figured it all out and were on the right track, they actually stopped to look around them. Passing Times Square, she saw just how busy this city claimed to be. Street vendors calling out for buyers, shoppers hurrying in and out of the shops. Not to mention the trouble everyone goes through to make their way down to catch the subway. For the most part, however, whenever they got lost and Selena had wanted to stop for directions (after Dylan got annoyed with it, of course), everyone she asked had been nice enough to help her. She'd recognized this part of New York to be the kinder area, no matter how busy everyone is.
