(This year's been bad for creativity for me, so I only have 1 but I love him!)

Vissanthyr / "The Blade of Threne" / "I go by Vis for short, or just V, out here, please".

So ... normally I don't make RP characters with potentially "lore-bendy" backgrounds/abilities (because somewhere I was told that my RP characters have to be realistic to the world I'm playing in. & now I'm late to the party, still struggling to shed this "rule" I follow a bit too strictly.)

I finally stepped outside of my comfort zone this time though and made someone "from the Fey Realm". & I'm having a LOT of fun with him! (Yeah! Growth!)

(He's got a few mysteries, so I'll keep most unsaid & only share what my friends have figured out already)

I made Vissanthyr to be a "local" in Castora for my friends' characters to run into while exploring the new location. Often in armor, he keeps his helmet on until he feels like he can trust individuals better. & has been seen doing bounty hunter like jobs & talking to a strange floaty green orb/bug/"fat butterfly" thing. He tries to be helpful and warn the new comers about various dangers, & asks them to be kind to the little gwyl in the jungle. V also weirds out some of the new comers by popping out of reflective pools, disapearing through rings, & strictly adhering to some Fey Rules (no saying "thank you" nor "sorry". Very polite. Being extra careful (a little paranoid) with names & agreements (clear or falsely perceived). Etc).

A smaller amount of friend characters have found out that he was taken from The Grove as a sapling over a decade ago, had his original name stolen, & was bound to serve a "Lady Threne". There's also some kind of curse(s) involved in there somewhere as well, but said curse prevents him from speaking clearly about it to explain the situation. >:3c

Olan Stone - Pan & Poly This character is Roleplayed as a Priory Arcanist, Pact Mage, Artificer, an ex-priest of the six & now a Convert to Raven and Wolf. It was fun taking him through a journey of discovery over a few years to figure all of that out with my friends & their characters. Olan's a soft nerd with plenty of trauma that he's still working through. & Luckily lots of friends.

Vellenay - Demi (currently an absolutely smitten lesbian for her human gf) This character is my current main for Roleplaying with my friends. She's a runt & gladium from Ash Legion (not a fan of hanging around charr territories, preferring her new warband of found family nerds & gremlins) and she's a Keeper within the Order of Whispers. (I started RPing with a big group in 2020 when Drizzlewood dropped. Tossing a charr spy into that mess was awful for her but amazing fun for me).

Huntsman Garen - Demi (& might discover that he can be Gay >:3c depending on how some personal future plotlines will go with some friends.) This guy is occasionally RPed as a Robinhood-like character. Seeking vengeance on the Ministry & nobles for the loss of his wife & daughter via an ignored centaur raid. Thanks to the Void outbreak & a few Kryptis portals though, his big band of thieves & highwaymen got depleted down to just a handful of lost kids. So now he's a single dad in the woods, helping 5 pre-teens & teens learn new skills (now trying to steer them away from thieving but they do like the shinys) and return to society when they're ready. It was also super fun crafting their big treehouse in my homestead. Can't wait to use it for a RP scene location.

Rick (pit fighting stage name = "Quick Rick") no last name. - Bi (& he found an amazing trans bf to settle down with). Another RP character of mine. A brash, jokester, gambling brawler and occasional thief (who's secretly an Order of Whispers agent (a small way to help keep an eye on some criminal activity)). Despite the tough guy persona, he's got a big soft spot for animals & has convinced his bf to let him adopt several pets (cat, fern hound, raptor, sand jackal, & a smokescale (Rick has multi-classed into Daredevil & Soulbeast)).

Pia Frostburn - IDK yet. Her sexuality & genders will be fun to discover as I RP her. >:3c Pia was in the Dominion & the Frost Legion. Was even on the team that helped build the Frost Legion Machine. And so she was able to offer some of that knowledge to the Astral Ward team that's trying to thaw out the people that's been frozen for over 4 years now. In exchange, she's given some magi-medical help for her de-frosted body & she can walk outside of the prison now as she helps out the Astral Ward. I'm looking forward to watching her go through some learning journeys, growing & making new friends, unlearning certain things that lead her to the Dominion before, and discovering her true self better.

I had already made a fledgling/kid tengu character a while ago, but never used/RPed her cuz the raven helmet didn't quite sell the illusion well enough for me. BUT NOW hehehehe this is a very good bird head skin \o/ & I shall bother my RP guildies with her soon >:3c (sorry not sorry for the photo dump. I had too much fun making her)

I love how the new helm skin allows the feather textures to pick up the highlights/iridescent colors from the shadow and bloodstone dyes so well! Found gloves with feathers poking out of the elbow ends. & I used boots that help sell the illusion that her leggies are still digitigrade underneath the baggy pants & big kid boots. & of course the shape of the asura character model underneath leads perfectly towards that big headed kid shape. Look at this devious little fluff ball! (she stole your coffee. I'm sorry)

I gave little Izumi a backpack buddy to carry her things in, ... & of course she's got the tropey big mech buddy too.

Late posting, but here's some pics from Pride! \o/ I had a lot of fun with friends, & spotting cosplayers, & riding the turtle chair through the march.

in that 1st pic; you'll see one of my friends cosplaying as "Madeline of Celeste". He had switched between Madeline & a Devil May Cry character through the march. I also will always love "Ace Rights Wizard", "Pan Rights Paladin", "Bi Rights Berserker", etc. Also spotted "Malyck of the Lost", that was fun! Anyway, I stop gushing now. o/

i REALLY wanted to finish some character art for a friend's D&D one shot tomorrow ... this evening. But a light-sensitive headache kept me from drawing on my new iPad.

A goal is a goal, & so I got my character drawn up on paper with ink & markers instead. HA! TAKE THAT! Stupid headache.

Some day I'll post digital art.

Vellenay. My Deadeye Whispers & Ash cat that likes to demon hunt. She be a tiny runt with a sweet tooth.

Artificer Milo. A no-Legions nerd (a disguise for another character).

Sapphire. A clever but sweet thief of mine. No, she will not give you her real name.

Aleron. Another thief, but a charming idiot that causes trouble instead.

Aviator Sayll. A college drop out who likes to build aircraft with the Gear warband instead.

Nora Crushstep. My Blood & Vigil herbo that likes to headbutt things & wrestle friends. Chaotic but a soft-squishy healer friend when needed.

lol, I originally had no plans for making him buff when I 1st made him (wanted to keep him a scrawny Priory nerd), but he got adopted into a norn family and then started to train in an earth-magic-based martial arts in Cantha. Whoops.  Now he’s my buff wizard that RP friends like to tease with the name of “Swolan”.   XD

ARCANE HERESY— a wizard subclass for the magicians who seek the power of the gods not through worship, but through study. I personally have a lot of fun with characters that have a complex relationship with religion and wanted to make a subclass to embody a more ambitious, selfish wizard, taking the power of divinity as their own. i hope you enjoy it and if you end up using it show me the heretics you make!

(I hope it's ok; I gush now over a similar idea I used before & it's been absolutely fun! Feel free to skip this part.)

Not D&D, but I did something similar as a secret weapon my GW2 main RP character can do on a rare occasion. It's really fun to keep it a dirty secret of his & pop it out when needed; like facing some really tough religious cultists or whatnot (with the DM's permission), often unblessing their butts so they're not op anymore.

Character's story: he's a magi-scientist from his studies in the Durmand Priory already, he quit for 3 years (returned to active duty later) after some magi-medical trauma involving Bloodstone madness, & sought peace by becoming a priest ... only to discover the truth that the human gods abandoned their people & the churches wanted him to continue the lie that they didn't leave. ... ya, Olan put his doctorate in magi-science to use; translating various blessings and scriptures into rune equations; allowing him to highjack the divine magic left behind by the abandoning gods so he could make the blessings actually work when needed. Though he knows that many would frown on this act of stealing from the gods, so he keeps this ability secret & only uses it when dire need arises in his many adventures back at the Priory or working for the Order of Whispers.
